Do you think there are any specific apsects, placements etc which could give a player?

I know one guy, he has Mars conjunct Neptune, and he knows his way around women. He isn't what I would call handsome, but he knows what to say, and how to act around them. I don't know any other indicators in his chart that could give this tendency. His Venus is in Cap, and Moon in Virgo so maybe he is a bit detached emotionally..

Are you kidding me? You can practically read the definition of venus in capricorn as a player. With cappy you should ask what is the motive? Because there always is one. The key phrase is "I use". A player is just using women, with little emotional attachment, another indicator of venus in cappy.

Also venus in cap often marries for gain rather than love,which may require sorting through a few before settling down.

Goodgirl is just talking about the negative traits of Venus in Capricorn! Not all of them are players and users, but I believe it is common, like Goodgirl has implied. Goodgirl, I'm curious what are the Sun signs of the people you know that have Venus in Cap.? I knew a Sag. Sun who had this Venus, I couldn't get very close to him.

Also the theory about the sign your Saturn is in could do with this as well, since I have Saturn in Sag.

When I see venus in pisces I assume their romantics.

I assume venus in taurus loves beauty.
I assume venus in leo wants a bit of showmanship in their lovers.

Isn't astrology all about assumptions as far as that goes?????

And I wasn't listing all possible outcomes of venus in cap. I was pointing out that there is a type of cap that is a player. Not the fun loving breezy type. But the calculating status seeking player. I thought she was overlooking something.

I knew two sags. Boyfriends during highschool. Actually nice fun guys. Neither really had any cap hang ups, that I can remember.Except that I was kindda bossy back then, and they didn't seem to have a problem with that. (that may have been because of their venus in cap= expecting bossy women) One I was very close to, we dated for 2 years.

The same could apply to Sco Venus [I use], or Aries Venus [fast n' furious] or even the "softer" Venuses, like Libra [undecided] or Pisces [idealistic].

There are many different kinds of "players" out there, it all depends on their motives.

the venus cappies i know are loyal almost to a fault. but they definitely want a partner to pull their weight, money wise, in a relationship. no matter how much they make, their partner needs to pay some bills. both of these guys are extremely mature in matters of the heart, very serious. very unplugged, too. one is my brother, one is my ex. with same dob. both saggie sun, aqua moon, mercury in saggie, cappie venus, and mars pisces. maybe the pisces softens them a bit. oh, and they know more than you, and like to educate you on things you have no clue about. ya right. those saggies!

Well, a player needs a lot of charm, so strong libra placements would help. Libra rising in particular would add a great deal of charm and attractiveness.

They also need to be emotionally detached, so Gemini, Capricorn, Aquarius and Sag influences help.

THIS i totally agree with... makes perfect sense to me. My boyfriend says miss universe could be standing next to him but if he doesn't love her he won't even get a rise.
He is sag AC.
He also wants his partner to pull her weight but he's very straight, honest and loyal. SO FAR!

I don't know that I think all signs have player motivations, but certainly a good many, but again you have to look at the negitive traits.She's talking about a player so I went with it. Was I supposed to tout out cappys positive traits? I didn't think she was looking for them.

But here they are; seeking permant and long lasting relationships, will put up with a load of struggles before calling it quits,
willing to carry the burdens of their loved ones, can find beauty where the rest of us don't...

I could go on singing the praises of venus in capricorn (I can certainly appricate it because I am a female with my sun in capricorn) but I don't think these things have anything to do with her guy being a player.

This aspect totally screwed up a good cappie man!!

This thread is hilarious! I don't know if its just me, but Libra Suns seem to be the players of the zodiac. I just met the most charming guy who wasn't the most attractive, with a Libra Sun, Sag. Asc., Capricorn Moon, Libra Venus, and Virgo Mars, I should of realized from the get go that he just wanted something, and voila that was the end of it. I just feel sorry for my friend who is in love with him!

I've never found Libras to be charming. I can see right through their flirting, and I usually make them pay for it. Usually by making them feel stupid.
