26T,

quote:
Jupiter in the 7th...?

Perhaps if we take the philosophical angle of Jupiter, you like to philosophize about others. That's something I've seen in you.

Of course it could mean big partnerships.

Expansiveness in Venus' realm may also mean more artistic talent.

Green Fairy,

Pluto in the 2nd must have and control possessions.
With Pluto in the 3rd, you're not superficially interested in things. If you're interested, you're profoundly interested.

Uranus in the 3rd brings an unconventional mind, or way of looking at things.
Uranus in the 4th in the positive sense is "at home" anywhere. In the negative sense, the home life is unstable.

Ok, I'm tired of doing this now, so I'm going to stop.

Uranus in the 2nd may indicate that your possessions are hassles (or become hassles) that you don't care to deal with. Instead, you may be more interested in spending your money on interesting activities.

okay this is as weird as a green beard. i was just forming thoughts in my head like, wow, in a really weird way i can't describe, i feel lighter, too, with this house system! and then saw that you, ms. MVM had written that too! actually i identify with a LOT of what you write. i think your.. sun? conjuncts my NN at 18 virgo. hmm maybe that's it.

oh and what happens to AC/MC/IC/DC with whole house? are they all now at 0 degrees in the same four signs they used to be in, or does it form a perfect cross, if those signs were not previously squared? (mine are trined in placidius).

but woah!! it actually DOES seem to fit. only thing is, i used to have NN and saturn in the 8th and i REALLY REALLY identify with those. now i don't have any 8th/scorp except for uranus in scorp which is in the 12th in whole house. but i definitely feel that 8th house stuff, so maybe in some weird way uranus there could account for it? i'm not sure..

anyway, i'm definitely gonna explore this system. anyone else feel much lighter too? and i rob hand. i'll check out that book forsure!

ooh i hope this discussion continues for a long time. i wonder if BOTH are valid, but placidus pertains more to conditions at birth (which is why most of us relate) that continue as patterns in life, while whole house gives us a sense of new directions to take, which is why we're, oddly, feeling lighter and more understood?

okay i am CONVINCED.

HSC, i think i owe you a million dollars.

i just read the chapter on saturn in the 10th in liz greene's book and it put my entire freaking LIFE into perspective. i've read nothing truer and closer to home than this. okay and i actually think i related to the 8th house saturn so much cuz they have some similar features: complete lack of emotional closeness to one or both parents for instance. but tenth makes WAY more sense in this regard and spelled out the dynamic almost exactly like i experienced it!

and i haven't read up on my new NN in the 10th yet but this makes a LOT of sense to me too. and it's interesting cuz my moon's been taken out of the 4th and put into the 6th in this new system (which i strongly identify with; a need to serve others), and so it could be this 4th house energy i identified with that is actually my SN energy. cuz dang it was a drag; clinging to an evil mother!! haha. i'll take my NN (choice!) any day. whew.

oh boy oh man oh gosh i gotta find this book! thanks HSC.

Hmmm, I objectively gave this a shot.

It changes 4 planets/points in my core chart.

1. Makes my Sun a 4th House Type than 3rd, which I am absolutely not.

2. Makes my Pluto and Moon a 7th House type: I dont have any 7th House Pluto characteristics but do seem to have some 7th House Moon traits.

3. My Uranus jumps from 7th to 8th: Again, I did not see any 8th House Uranus traits in my personality.

So overall, I have to give this system a thumbs down as far as my personal application goes. But there is no law that says it wont work for others. Natives who will not gain from actual cusp transits will find more value from this system.

Apart from the 5 areas which this system nullifies, I must add that it also nullifies the Solar Return Chart and Active Astrology of Ciro as well as the Secondary Chart analysis of Tobey/Lewi. It also makes Progressed Chart houses meaningless, and erases the Draconic Ascendant Research which points to our Soulmates. So that is 9 charts less for a student of astrology, which I think will make things much lighter for interpretation.

iqhunk, what do you think of my thought that "i wonder if BOTH are valid, but placidus pertains more to conditions at birth (which is why most of us relate) that continue as patterns in life, while whole house gives us a sense of new directions to take, which is why we're, oddly, feeling lighter and more understood?"

i know i had some MAJOR validation of pluto transiting my 12th house cusps; both times i almost died, like literally this . close to death. so i wonder if both could be valid somehow? thoughts?

Thanks HSC & AG. Definitely worth considering. Youre right HSC, I have a sextile between Chiron and Jupiter. It's interesting to me that you both think I know alot about 7th house matters, relating and relationships...

I don't know that I meant to imply that you know a lot about relationships and relating, though that could very well be true as you're a Venusian, but a consistent theme in your philosophical opinions has been the oneness of humanity.

There is a way that both could be valid. There is a Mystery School teaching the 5 ways path of Sekhmet. They contend that we have 5 bodies [somewhat like Theosophical theories]. Physical, Etheric, Mental, Spirit an Higher Self.
If Heliocentric Chart indicates Higher Self, Draconic Chart indicates Etheric Chart and Equal House or Placidus indicates the Psychological/Mental makeup at birth; then Whole Housesshould map to the Physical Body's Chart.

I guess the later the degree of your ASC. the more your chart will change?

my asc is at 26' cap. whilst my sun merc. venus is at the earliest of degrees.

placidius gives me
jupiter leo 7th
ceres, sun merc venus conj. virgo 7th
juno, uranus, pluto virgo 8th
saturn aries 2nd moon aries 3rd

equal /koch
moves the virgo stuff which if you add the asteroids is about 12 things into the 8th.
jupiter stays put
saturn moves to the 3rd.

whole house
moves
jupiter to the 8th
my sun cluster screw (all of it) to the 9th
moon saturn to the 4th
and my mc, mars neptune conj moves to the 11th. no changes on that above.

So if your Sun is early and your ASC is late you can see ALOT of changes..
I was just trying to embrace my 7th and 8th house..I've never related to the 9th at all..it only houses my SN. mmm much to ponder.. will read more on the 9th 11th and 4th houses.. empty until i tried this.

Thank you very much AG

It seems this chart type isn't working for me, at all.
It might be the oldest method around but that doesn't mean it's the best one.

I have to agree with Green Fairy.
While some of the interpretations I've read, I can relate to more but for the most part it feels like a new pair of shoes or a new dress that I like but when I put them on it doesn't quite fit right. Makes me feel like I have to constantly readjust myself.

26T, Also, Venus in the 6th (aspecting Saturn) would curb that 7th house Jupiter some.

And you are an artist, and your art is very Jupiterian, in a way.

Yes, I think you have a 7th house teaching to impart..
and it is rather Cancerian, when you think about it.

Green Fairy,

There may be very good reasons, which we cannot perceive,
as to why this system seems to work better for some than others.

I encourage you to stick with what works for you.

topshelf,

quote:

Two things appear to make a big difference.

The other thing is the latitude of your place of birth.

The more extreme the latititude, and the later your Asc degree, the greater the shift.
