MVM, I'm the same way. One of my favorite things to do is to just get in the car and go. I don't need a destination. I play enie meenie mynnee moe whenever I want to turn left or right. I just put some good music on and just zone out.

------------------
Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚
Gemini Sun 24˚
Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house)
Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚
And yes, i'm a guy!

You know what else I've realized? With the moon on the 3rd house cusp, I wonder about the nostalgia factor. I'd sometimes drive around way back in the day and then find great comfort in going back to an old neighborhood I used to live (back when I lived in LA), or even down a particular street. The familiarity was comforting.

Oh, and since this relates directly to having Leo on the cusp of my third...

I like to show off while driving. Not necessarily zooming around stuff, but I like to turn up my music really loud so people can hear what I'm listening to. I also like to decorate my car with little things like bumper stickers and rear view mirror things. Right now I only have an Obama '08 sticker. I don't like clutter in my expression.

I just thought of this as I was reading entries in my livejournal from when I was 13 and I was thinking about how I always communicate as if I have an audience.

I don't have any planets in my third house, but Pisces is on the cusp. It's ruler, Neptune trines my venus and opposes my mars.

I'm extremely calm when driving and I'm usually very polite to other drivers; I'll give them plenty of room to change lanes or let someone back out of a parking space instead of crowding them.

However, I can become aggressive if necessary.

Aquarius is on 3rd house cusp, I don't drive, but I learned to drive very easily and electronics, machines, etc. I can understand really well I don't even have to try to figure things out. Maybe Uranus in the first helps with the aquarian third cusp.

Neptune rules my third house, but I'm extremely focused and cautious when driving. Perhaps it's because my Neptune is in Capricorn.

i have aries third house. with equal system eris is there, as well as north node. with placidus it is untenanted except for my taurus karma!!

driving has always been a kind of meditation for me, i guess the aries would go with my habit of learning my way around by picking out a landmark of some kind and then going to find it (pioneering instinct). i love road trips short or long but i have wearied of flying over the last 10-15 years. used to love it and sky hop a lot. i even stowed away in a plane once when it was still easily done..

i am not an aggressive driver, actually quite laid back on the road but good at DEFENSIVE driving, making sure i am out of the way when they try to hit me...so i like a manual stick with plenty of get-up-and-go, great handling ability.

When I was a kid, I loved racing go-karts and playing racing video games. I thought this would translate into me loving driving as an adult. It did not.

I much prefer walking and riding my bike, next best is getting a ride with someone else & public transport. I drive only when there's no reasonable alternative.

I find it a chore. I have Venus in my 3rd house. I guess that shows that I like to travel in a way I find pleasurable. I'm not sure what would show how much I dislike driving though, probably a combo of things.

I love road trips, but I enjoy them most when someone else is driving. Now that I think more about it, I realize the only time I like driving is when I'm exploring a brand new place.

I have Aquarius on the cusp of my 3rd house, but no planets there. Uranus Conjuncts my Asc in scorpio.

I didn't drive until I was 26. Major anxiety but Once the fear factor subsides I learn things extremely quickly and well. I'm overly cautious and very aware. I still have my husband drive when we go out. He has Scorpio on the 3rd with uranus there to.

Sagittarius on the 3rd house cusp.
Jupiter in Leo in the 11th
Moon in the 3rd.

It's silver. 2001.
I love driving it. Although I didn't get it until after my first Saturn Ret.

+1. This is so true. My Moon is there also. As a matter of fact, I took a different route to work this morning that caused me to drive past my old junior high school, and I was struck with a fierce wave of nostalgia. For a minute I was back in middle school.

I'm also a creature of habit when it comes to cars. I've been driving the same model of car for 7 years, I decided I liked what I drove and just upgraded to a newer version when the old one gave out. I'm not the type to go out and buy a brand new anything just because it's new. The car I have now I bought used and I'll drive it until it dies and then relucantantly get a newer one again...same model of course
