Ok, I'm not a man, but would like to contribute to this topic anyway :-D

I have Scorpio ASC which also means a Taurus DSC ( my Moon is also there ) . I have to say that I'm not particularly drawn to Taurus men - but they are to me! Somehow I always seem to attract them , especially Taurus Sun . I prefer rather men with Scorpio traits or Capricorn. So could it be that our DSC tells us more about those who are attracted to us whereas our ASC points to men whom we are attracted to?

I also think that the Moon in a man's chart tells something about emotional being of a woman he is attracted to . Venus could point to appearence . But there are so many thing that should be taken into consideration. I've read something that it's possible to see appearance of a future wife ( or husband ) in a natal chart for some aspects point to it . I've found this :

" In a man's horoscope the planets to which the Moon makes an aspect by progression after birth, indicate the women to whom he will be attracted, together with their character and disposition, which are determined by the signs that the planets are in and the aspects which they make.

For illustration, let us suppose that the Moon in a certain person's horoscope comes first to a sextile of the Sun in Leo, and that the Sun is aspected by a trine to Jupiter, then we shall find the description of the wife by looking up the disposition, a noble character, a blonde and of florid complexion.

If on the other hand, we find that the Moon after birth makes a square to Mars in Scorpio, and Mars in turn square to Venus, then it would show a woman of a very lewd, slothful and slovenly nature who would be domineering, quarrelsome, extremely difficult to get along with. Similarly for the other planets.

In a woman's horoscope the husband is described by the planets to which the Sun makes an aspect by progression, these planets to be taken in connection with the sign where they are found and the planets with which they in turn form configurations, and the method is the same as indicated in the case of the Moon in a man's horoscope.

It should be remarked, however, that when the significator of the marriage partner, aspected by the Sun or Moon, is retrograde or weak by sign, as Saturn in Aries or Jupiter in Gemini, the attraction is not strong enough to culminate in a marriage but will probably indicate only a passing attraction. Therefore the student must use his judgment in these respects "

not for me, i don't like leo traits much.

maybe the asc and dsc can be the otherway round, but maybe they depend on something else in the chart.

one thing iv realised now, is that my dsc ruler trines my sun, which is my asc ruler.

wonder if that means anything.

1. I meant that I believe venus is the determining factor

2. I'm delicious and sweet like cookies To scorpio men anyway. I think there's a negative compulsion with Sags. LOL

yellowmoon,

the article mentions the luminaries in the natal (moon for men and sun for women) and "progresses" the appropriate luminary to see what aspects the sun or moon will make to other planets before it leaves that sign. for example:

man's natal moon at 15 deg taurus,
-natal venus at 20 deg taurus,
-natal neptune at 26 degree scorpio.

well natally he has the conj to venus so the wife, in theory, could be described by venus and its aspects. natally, tho, he does not have the opposition to neptune, it's too wide. however, using this technique, progressing the moon through the sign it is in, it would eventually make an opposition to that neptune in scorpio. so that's another factor that would be added in to the mix.

just take the sun or moon and move it forward in the sign its in, look at the other planets natally, and see what aspects can be made

I did not read the whole thread but I will go with Glaucus, Moon and Venus for the man.
