Randall de-registered FistOfLegend for being rude and insulting to people, just as he did in his previous incarnations as HunkOfRope and Hey.

Good on Randall for being pro-active.

I thought calling a knowflake a bird brain was immature and alien to this website.

really? is all the negativity directed toward fist of legend actually more reasonable and even righteous as compared to allegedly calling someone a bird brain, in jest?

i dunno. he had a weird sense of humour, but for real, we're into cencorship now at LL?? he had mellowed considerably the last month or so that he posted and was very helpful and participatory.

man this kinda stuff irks me. pure hypocrosy. hate masquerading as righteousness. boo.

I read that post where fist called someone
a bridbrain and thought that it was rude.
Fist was always making nasty comments.
I can understand frustration but everyone is entitled to their opinion and should not be subject to nasty comments.

Good job Randall !

i guess the line is pretty thin.. i just want to remind everyone that at least half of it is perception.

there was so much negativity coming at him from so many posters here. i didn't see the bird brain post, and i don't claim to have all the answers, but he made me think about a lot of stuff and reevaluate my own reactions. and as i've said, i think he had a subtle humour most missed. anyhow, i'm just not a fan of whatever this is..

I agree that he had some subtle humor and thought provoking post but I disagree with the way he called someone a birdbrain, theres really no need to resort to name-calling..when you all you have to do is agree to disagree with a person.

Name calling is childish..period.

Wow, I'm the person he called a bird brain. I had no idea all of this was going on...must be my neptune, lol.

I do think it was undeserved. It was a bit of a negative reflection on this site, not that I would've left, because there are so many thoughful posters on here.

I cant speak for the others who posted here, but for me this was just a spontaneous thank you and not some kind of gathering to 'lynch' a former poster. I come to this site irregularly for the helpful astrological advice. So I'm not part of some kind of in-crowd group or whatever who has some alleged interest to control what is being said and how. On the contrary, I've always appreciated in particular that this site fosters open discussion of different opinions. So I guess I'm the average poster who comes here for astrology and who feels uncomfortable being barked at for no apparent reason. I've had just one or tow encounters with him but they were enough to make me stay clear of his postings. Just a general rudness obviously wouldnt be reason by itself to deregister someone. However, if there are instances as in the case of LadyNeptune where she is asking typcial questions for a typical poster and she is being ridiculed then I find this out of order. Especially as she remained cordial and respectful despite his insult, and he just continued ridiculing her. Sorry, but I strongly disagree to call it censorship when someone like he is removed from this site. It's however indirect censorship if someone like him is allowed to just strike out at anyone for asking normal questions, especially if many here are non-native speakers. Because the result is that I as a non-native speaker choose not to ask as many questions anymore on posts where he is participating because I feel uncomfortable as I may be made to look stupid. So sorry, but for the average poster here Randall did a good deed.

I'm curious why the concept of holding members at a forum to a standard of politeness, manners and basic human consideration gets called "censorship".....

Perhaps a review of the Rules everyone agreed to in order to become a member??

yeah. i would just like to see the bird brain thread, for context. and everyone keeps saying he was hunk and hey, who were pretty nasty, so that is why i wonder if it REALLY IS the same person. for context.

i am just surprised because i thought he was a really respectful guy who'd said some controversial things but who'd relaxed into very friendly and helpful tones the last while.

as for calling it cencorship.. there are rules, that is fine. i just think that ENERGETICALLY it's hypocritical to let onesself be swayed by negative feeling when one is assigning fault of such negative feelings to another, who, i believe, was only trying to prove that very point, in a very weird way.

it's just semanitcs, isn't it? there is, after all, an entire thread about "losers" right here on LL. isn't that abusive too, in a way? oh well. human behaviour is fascinating

Hey never participated in a meaningful way. I don't think FoL was Hey. Plus Hey seemed to be a girl, or at least someone pretending to be a girl.

FoL might've been a bit abrasive to a few of you. He probably wasn't used to the social structure of the board yet. It's hard for noobs to get a feel for an internet community at first. Most people in other communities are not as nice as LindaLanders are, and FoL's behavior would've been perfectly acceptable and even expected anywhere else.

A. koiflower you're a bird brain.

B. The World is full of Losers

1. Spot the offensive sentence.

2. Which sentence needs punctuated with a period/full stop?

3. Place a comma in the correct space.

He grew on me like fungus, and I had a soft spot for him, but I saw how he offended.
I've seen him do it numerous times on threads, and not only on the astrology board. Among other things.
I liked him, but I did think he needed to learn some etiquette, not just being online but in general. You don't call people names. You just don't. It's rude.
