Have you heard anything about this transit? I assume it happens a lot since the nodes move with the moon and the moon moves through each sign every couple days. Do events happen to each person each time the node moves over their true node that moves them toward their destiny or do destined events happen? And since the nodes are part of the moon are they mostly about our emotions or do they apply to everything?

My NN is Aqua and SN Leo so I thought I was meant/destined to go toward all things Aqua but does that mean more emotionally than mentally/physcially/spiritually? I always thought of it as more of spiritually since I read the Jan Spiller interp that Zala posted for me many years ago. I haven't read that in a while though I saved it somewhere but I see transitting NN is about to conjunct my natal so I'm thinking of it today.

i think what you're asking about is the nodal return,i'm pretty sure it happens every 18 and a half years,it's not destiny as such but more a soul purpose for being here... something you should work towards in this lifetime...your south node shows what you have already been learning before.
it normally marks a significant time where you decide on a particular direction

Oh, the nodal return is every 18 1/2 years? I guess I don't understand the nodes at all! So, this is a turning point? Or a time that will mark when I starting "coming into my own" so to speak? If it is only every 18 or so years then it must be a very important time. I am interested in exploring this further.

Mystic, I'm pretty sure Nodes are where we're going in life in some way - meaning, how we integrate lessons from the South Node into our life, to propel us forward.

Here's what I found on allexperts about the transit, hope it helps:

"The nodal-return happens to everyone about every 18.6 years, so around age 19, age 38, age 57, age 76. Noted astrologer Dane Rudhyar wrote that these "years bring to many individuals challenges of reorientation of their outlook on life and of their responses to basic factors in their personality." Significant moments of destiny are marked by these returns, and when a person looks back at their lives they can almost always see that they reached turning points at the time of the nodes' return.

Sometimes the return's influence is subtle, especially the first one in late teens. At the first one, you may only notice a stirring of what you want to do or be. Then, you forget it and go back to normal life.
But the nodes are trying to push you to grow, so they don't stay silent. Around the second return, this stirring happens again, only stronger. Sometimes, this nodal return is so much stronger that it brings us a strong conviction of what we’re here for. And, if a person still has not followed the path they should be on, the urge can be even stronger when the return comes in their fifties.

And, almost invariably, new relationships are formed near the return which have significant impact on someone's life.

I hope that helps some.

Best wishes,
Zane"

It sounds substantial to me

This is from astrologycom.com :

"The Moon's nodes move back by transit to their birth position once every 18.6 years or so, when the transiting nodes form a conjunction with the natal nodes. This means that in our 19th year, we have what astrologers call a Nodal Return. In our 38th year we have another one; in our 56th, another and so on. Significant moments of destiny are marked by these returns, which if we look at these years of our lives, we can clearly see.

It is also notable that, because the nodes are an axis, halving this period gives the Nodal Opposition, the Counter-Nodal Return, when the transiting North Node is in conjunction with the natal South Node and vice versa. So in our 10th year, 28th year, 47th year, 66th year and so on a collison occurs in which the growth patterns indicated by the North Node clash with the established regimes of the South Node, often generating intense insecurities that lead to major transformations of the life-path. This is particularly so in the 28th year, during which the powerful energies of the progressed Lunar Return and the first Saturn Return mark the stressful transition from the Phase of Youth to the Phase of Maturity.

The best way to understand the astrological nature of the Nodes might be to envisage them as bubbling pools of karmic energy. These have a massive potency, which is associated with powerful events and feelings whenever they are activated by progressions or transits. Because the nodes are pools of karma associated primarily with the house in which they are located, the related effects are deep and often seem almost inevitable. It is not for nothing that they are called the Dragon's Head and Tail..."

WOW

MyVirgoMask, thank you very much! I missed this thread earlier today, it was so far down I thought it hadn't been replied to because it wasn't bumped up to the top. Then I remembered there weren't that many posts to it. I'm so glad I checked!!! This is great. How interesting! I am so glad I noticed the NN about to conjunct my NN and mentioned it. I thought that since the nodes were points that had to do with the moon they must pass by every month or so just like the moon and I hadn't noticed that the NN point was in the same sign every time I looked at it. :/ Lots of things to observe when looking at charts I suppose. Missed one. hehe

It is pretty exciting to be learning about this. I remember a person I met when I was 19 and experiences I had that did pivot me into a certain direction and I can feel that advancing at this time. This man also was the catalyst to the situation I am in at this time.

I have to think about this more before commenting further. Thank you so much for the information.

This was the featured article in my horoscope of the day newsletter today! Synchronicity
http://www.californiapsychics.com/articles/Newsletter/3211/Your%20Karma%20Revealed.aspx

I liked that it mentioned the energies that apply to the houses as well. Then you can look at your NN and the energy of the house to get a fuller understanding.

hey i just wanted to share my experience.

last time i was truly truly happy with my life was when this transit occurred. It seemed to me like I could really fix everything that I considered wrong with my life. I met this great guy. (which I later destroyed). But such a great person, also great looking. Finally someone I considered very worth getting life complicated over. Some other opportunities have risen. I really felt like I have a sense of purpose, direction. Quite extraordinary.

All I want to say, is I really hope you benefit from some lovely circumstances that this transit can bring.

cheers

My North Lunar Node is in 10'29 Aquarius in 5th house, and so I've been having my lunar nodal return.

I met a woman on Second Life (online virtual world) that teaches a class based on Eckhart Tolle's NEW EARTH. I watched Eckhart Tolle videos, and I was hooked on them. I bought some videos, and I watch them regularly. I found a spiritual teacher that I really like. I started getting into THE SECRET,and bought the DVD and watched. I have the book now. I started going to LIVING THE SECRET Meetups in my area. I decided that I want to form a nonprofit organization for neurodivergents. I also decided to form Astrology of Neurodivergence tribe on tribenet to help my fellow neurodivergents through Astrology, and I already have the that tribe up and running.
I got into it with some astrologers because of my discussions about neurodivergence and even got discriminated against to the point that I don't want to be part of the astrological community. I'd rather consider myself Holistic Celestial Practitioner.
I had a soul reading with an intuitive reader named Anne Angelheart, and she told me that I was meant to work with the Indigo,Crystal Children. She told me that I could do astrology readings for them too. She pretty much confirmed that I was meant to help my fellow neurodivergents. She also referred me to a shaman named Steve Flores for healing work on me and to help prepare me for my path. I listened to her, and now I see Steve on regular basis. It turns out that he's neurodivergent and was in special education classes like me, but he ended up becoming secure in himself even though he never got help for his neurodivergent issues. It's like I met a kindred spirit or even a soulmate of a friendship kind. He and I are becoming friends that he and I are making going out to dinner after our healing session on Wednesday a regular thing. I started going to an interfaith unity church. I decided that I wanted to make some spiritually oriented friends and to use the church as stepping stone. I started going the day after Valentines Day. I ended up very attracted to a newcomer there, but I haven't seen her again. I have been to the church for 4 Sundays. I even talked to the pastor about how I want to get involved and my plans on forming a neurodiversity organization. I have already been to workshop to see Lee Carroll, the author of the Indigo series. He did a lecture/channeling here in Sacramento,California. I also went to 2 workshops by Jon Mundy on mysticism and dealing with ego last Friday and Saturday. The workshops really got me thinking about stuff. Natally,I have Munday conjunct the North Lunar Node in Aquarius in 5th with 10 minutes of arc!

all those things occurred during transiting North Node conjunct my North Node in Aquarius in 5th.

My North Lunar Node is in Aquarius in 5th trines my Midheaven in Gemini with 45 minutes of arc. So my soul purpose of being here is connected to career, aim of life, reputation. That is to help my fellow neurodivergents as an advocate, humanitarian, and astrologer. With retrograde Chiron in Aries in 8th 2 minutes sextile it and sextile my Midheaven with 45 minutes, I am also meant to be a healer.

In my experience, both.

I had my nodal return a little over a year ago. On the day when transit Node was exactly conjunct my True Node (exact to the degree and minute) I had a very intense experience. On that day I had a past lives/between lives regression with Dr. Linda Bachman (author of the just-released book, "Bringing Your Soul to Light: Healing Through Past Lives and the Time Between"), who studied and co-taught with Dr. Michael Newton (the groundbreaking author of "Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives", "Destiny of Souls: New Case Studies of Life Between Lives" and "Life Between Lives: Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression") and who also co-created and served on the Founding Board of the Society for Spiritual Regression (now The Newton Institute) as Membership Chair and President. I won't go into detail about my session (it's too sacred and thus the energy needs to be kept sacred and protected) but I will say, I experienced an INCREDIBLE Quantum Leap and a Divine life-altering energy healing/regeneration.

In my experience, the Nodal Return is an amazing opportunity to align with your dharma.

evander, thank you so much how kind. I wrote a post a while back about how I could "feel something coming" and this all fits.

Glaucus, I'm really glad you found what you are meant to do and the right ears to listen. I feel I have been working toward something similar (the right ears) and it is very gratifying to hear that your nodal return brought that for you. Thank you.

Tigerlily, what you said is great. It is good to be reminded about protecting the sacred energy. Thank you and thank you for telling me you had this powerful experience and at the exact time too. Wonderful.

I had one also, sometimes last year. I would say that it being in Sagg, my philosophical outlook has changed dramatically for the better.
