Are your best relationships in life with your siblings? If you have no siblings, do you relate best to people in a philadelphia-like manner? (not the city)

I wouldn't say my relationship with my siblings is something I cherish. I have Venus conjunct Mercury in Gemini in the ninth house. Generally I admire smart people with goals and ambition. Cultured people turn me on. I relate to people who can carry a conversation and actually know what they are talking about. I don't do well with small talk.

My "best" relationship isn't so much my brother, but we do have a great relationship compared to others. He's a Sag Venus, Gemini Mars conj my Venus. He can be a complete JERK but I still love him

My relationship with my siblings and cousins are ridiculously close ones, but not in a creepy way, which some books have suggested. I think Gemini Venus also tends to make us prone to either be attracted to friends or met someone either through family or friends, or at least this has been my case.

Ah yes... attraction to friends... definitely guilty of that one... I've never just randomly met the guys I've dated. I've always known them as a friend of a friend.

Yeah I can definitely vouch for that; almost everyone's I've fallen for has either been a friend, someone I've gotten to know in daily life, or someone I've met through my friends. LOL And even in the relationship, most times I'm not relating to the person like an actual partner in the Libran sense but more like a comrade....who I happen to be VERY attracted to. ROFL

So one of of you isn't close to your siblings and has it in the 9th. I guess maybe house placement matters too. Mine is in the 5th of children and fun so perhaps that makes a difference. I ask because I've just noticed this, and alot of people I know find it either cute or strange. LAWLS My sister and bro and alot of my cousins have gemini influence of some kind too.

Well, I have Merc conjunct Venus in Gemini in the 9th house as well... I do think house overlays are important though. My brother and I have really good synastry actually. I feel as if we've known each other for several lifetimes, and I do think I've more than likely have been his mom.

Oh, and I was wrong. We don't have a conj. between my venus and his mars. Meh.

Interesting fact: my brother was born just before the Sun went into Sag (so he's Scorpio Sun 29*) while I was born 3 minutes after the moon went into Scorpio (so I'm Scorpio Moon 0*)

Ah yes, 3rd house also rules siblings as well. Thanks!

And MoonPixie, the 0 degree scorp moon and the 29th degree Scorp sun sounds pretty karmic. Perhaps his sun has useful lessons to teach your moon. And opposing mercuries in sag and gemini are comically interesting. I bet he's always trying to get you to see the bigger picture, why you're better with details. ^__^

Our last "catching up" phone call:

Me: How's school?
Him: Oh, good.
Me: Getting ready for college?
Him: Yeah. Did I tell you that I'm only going to stay at (redacted) University for two years?
Me: Why?
Him: I'll go and once I decide between becoming a doctor or going into physical therapy then I'll transfer to the better school for that in Chicago. I'm only going to (redacted) because it's cheaper.
Me: Oh... do you know which subject you like more?
Him: No idea. What are you going to do for college when you come back home, again?
Me: Comparative Literature, get my degree & teach, maybe take up that grant to study Arabic in Palestine, and then live happily ever after.
Him: Can you pay the phone bill in the meantime?
Me: I thought Dad was paying for that? Shouldn't YOU be paying for YOUR phone bill?
Him: Oh, well... I just know SOMEONE is paying for the phone bill... and it ain't me.

Me: What do you want to do when I get back?
Him: Eat. And not just at Denny's or something. I mean - somewhere nice. Maybe Italian. I really want Mexican food.
Me: Anywhere specific?
Him: No. I just want to eat.
Me: Okay... well, you choose the food and I'll find the place, ok?

Me: I want to get a new kitten.
Him: Can I name him Homer?
Me: After the philosopher?
Him: No, after the cartoon character, but we can pretend it's really the Greek. Oh! We're reading the Odyssey in class. I want to stab my c**k it's so boring...
Me: That's a classic piece of literature... Far superior to any of your 2 page essays.
Andy: Whatever. I get my point across.

& etc

LOLOLOL, the mid convo particularly struck me as typical of gem and sag. You ask them for specifics, but they still answer in an annoyingly broad manner.

LOL, that last convo was sarcasm: he really did mean Homer the Greek. But he really loves The Simpsons. Anything sarcastic and satirical makes my brother laugh like crazzzzy.

Another old convo before he got a job in the Fast Food industry to support himself like every other 18-year-old in our town :

Me: What are you going to do with your life?
Him: Get rich.
Me: And how are you going to do that?
Him: Oh I dunno. Get famous.
Me: And how are you going to do that?
Him: Oh I dunno. One of us has to... I am the breadwinner between the two of us. HAHAHAHHAHA.
Me: Who paid for the phone bill?
Him: YOU! OH WAIT. YOU DIDN'T.
Me: Dad did. God, the point is that YOU didn't.
Him: Whine, whine, whine. Blah, blah, blah. The REAL point is that you should know that I will never pay for the phone bill and that I also need to borrow $15.
Me: FOR WHAT?
Him: I'm taking a vacation.
Me: To where?!
Him: The beach. And I'm taking the car, too.
Me: First of all, you can't just take the car. Two: I just refilled the tank!
Him: Exactly... that's why I only need $15.
Me: I hate you.
Him: You love me.

Typical Scorpio Sun & Sag Merc/Venus & Gemini Mars. So full of himself.

I found out that he's going to Costa Rica this summer! WTF. When I was his age, I couldn't even USE THE CAR without permission. BOO.

HAHAHA, that is so typically scorpion-sag. I know that because I attract an exponential number of that kind due to my 11th house. ^__^

And Oh MAN.....do not get me started with gemini mars men. Everytime I think of an argument I've had with one, my blood starts to boil.

I'm into pretty sarcastic/satirical humor too...as long as it doesn't cross the line. I always thought that was the mercury and Cap Asc. in my chart.

I definitely relate to this topic. I have moon conj venus in Gemini, and am an only child, but my closest, most cherished friends are *absolutely* brothers and sisters to me and I couldn't imagine life without them

how should i counter act these Gemini mars people? screw my Libra mars for being too nice!

i dont think having venus in gemini will make you get along with your siblings. i think the third house will shed light on that. for example if you have Mars in the third, chances are you fight a lot with you siblings. and so on.

Moon conjunct Venus in Gemini, here, and I get along well with my sister. She doesn't often get on my nerves, but I get on hers, usually without meaning to.

Me, too.

A good way to irritate a Gemini Mars back is to ignore them. Drives them insannnneee.

Oh wow.. we do have a lot of common placements. what's his mercury?

i have several annoyances, but mostly BIG annoyances that i rarely come across. the small things i let pass. life's too short to bother, you know? however, the more frequent of them all is being remembered as part of an entity rather than just myself. a good example is when friends assume that i'll hear about news from a common friend because the common friend and i are together a lot... as if we're one being and are ALWAYS TOGETHER. that irritates me as well as people who overreact. nothing gets me to ignore a person faster than overreacting. my ex-bff was an aries who always overreacted to everything and eventually after 15 years of friendship, i decided to never speak to her again when she yelled at me in her car for moving away from our hometown. it's been about a year.

oh damn... i'm sorry with cancer sun, scorpio moon, pisces rising... that's bound to bring all sorts of fun evasiveness... as a scorpio moon, i will admit that i prefer to keep people from discovering who i really am as a person. :/
