Powerful point Peri. We are programmed to think career though, amazing how well they corral our minds.
And I guess to be more successful I needed to stop sacrificing myself in relationships. And realize that life without them can be even more meaningful because you actually learn to love yourself and make yourself happy.

Insteresting though I just noticed that as that lesson was being learned, at the same time I found a job I totally love that, I was totally not interested in before, nor had the strength to be good in before.

Things that make your go hmmmmmm.

tigerlily, we share the rulers on this one
ASC in aqua, ASC ruler (uranus) in 9th house - i have been living, studying, working abroad for the last 10 years and i am not thinking of settling down! i am constantly on the move and cannot keep still in one place.
MC in scorpio, MC ruler (pluto) in 8th house - i can definitely relate to both peri and tigerlily - i both have problems of learning my life lessons and letting go....also very subjective, and extremely rebellious-not sure if this has to do with ASC or MC ruler?

Ginger Cancer --

I am a double Aries (sun/moon). I am also an Aqua rising with Asc ruler: Uranus(9th house)and MC: Pluto(8th house). We must be somewhat close in age?

I would say I feel very connected to the Uranus in the 9th. My Mercury is opposed with my Saturn in square to both. Sometimes I'm not the easiest person to argue with! Lol..BUT, I have been studying/learning Astro since I was thirteen and have always been interested "getting to the truth" of things. Although, I'd have to say I feel Pluto in the 8th much more...maybe because Venus is opposite it in Aries.

Anyhow, don't know that many other Aqua risings, just thought I'd say "hello" Cool thread!

Asc ruler Venus, in Libra H1 conjunct Pluto. Makes me not interested in superficial relationships, or the shallower sense of traditional beauty when it comes to the Arts.

MC ruler Moon, in Cappy H4. Issues with authority of all kinds, (especially from my parents). I dont feel particularly attached to family/origins/etc...

asc ruler sun h8 pisces, square uranus, trine jupiter - pisces h8 dynamic is deep personal relationships, bonding on a psychic level, not superficial relationships, i thrive on these for growth, and on the experiences i have had with finding out that there is more to life here than what we can experience with our 5 senses. learning that fact in my late teens/20s has opened me up to a more holistic/compassionate view of life, which im always trying to expand. i lean heavily on this in trying times, and i tend to be the go-to person for those in need, but i dont mind as i like the psychic bonding experience. the uranus square has brought on h8 issues of "loss" quite dramatically.

mc ruler mars h3 libra, conj saturn/pluto, square venus - i have to learn moderation in my actions and communications, and balance as well, going full force with something and then learning to rest, breathe and enjoy what my efforts have produced, it also speaks to the very hard work, mental efforts, ive done regarding my writing, and to my tendency to mental depression (saturn h3) and learning that the mind is a tool like any other that be can used for whatever purpose, reminding myself of that helps me stay on even ground.

DD,
venus pluto square is about the power of the feminine, and in your h1 its learning to access that power and put it across in a positive way, as a beacon to other women of postive feminine self transformation. if pluto is conj the mc this points even more so as pluto may be for the child "that untamable force" that was faced while young, that can be something that stifles and scares the young child. learning to stand in your own feminine power regarding that early dynamic points even more to the need to cultivate positive healthy venusian attributes. if its conj ic then family dynamics relating to emotional loss need to be confronted. a 3rd factor for this is that its in capricorn, so its taking some flavor of a venus saturn aspect, another point that urges you to be in control of your feminine image and in what you project. my 2.

my asc ruler, the moon, is in libra in the fourth;

my mc ruler, neptune, is in sagittarius in sixth

so that would mean that i've got chances to become a sweet husband sounds promising

my neptune in 6th would mean that i need to develop service of ethic/values/wisdom?

I just love learning new things on LindaLand. Honestly, I never thought of the AC and MC that way. Hmm:

Asc ruler is Uranus which is in the 10th house conjunct MC, but Uranus is widely squaring the Sun and Mercury and sextile Saturn and the MC is trine Venus and square Jupiter.

MC ruler is Pluto which is in the 9th house conjunct Moon, trine Mars, sextile Jupiter and Neptune.

See, when I get into it like this it is tangled up like Christmas lights to me, I don't know what to make of it.

quote:
...the position of ASC ruler shows where you have the most chances for personal growth

So, I have the most chances for growth in career matters. I haven't seen this play out yet.

quote:
...MC ruler shows lessons you have to learn in this life time

I have to learn how to transform and regenerate through 9th house things (education, religion, foreign things) I can see that actually.

It is the aspects to each that I have to work on interpreting for myself.

pire,

mc ruler neptune h6 seems like a healing placement, but one where youd need to keep an eye out for your interests as well so that you dont slip into neptunian paranoia disillusionment. in sagittarius prone to exaggeration so possibly a hypochondriac tendency or on the other hand for illnesses to be misdiagnosed and to be confounding your doctors. keep a check on your health at all times, and try to look into well researched alternative treatments/therapies whenever possible. you could be a good alternative healer yourself specializing in bringing treatments from foreign (sagittarius) countries and combining those treatments with a positive spiritual regimen, for example.

neptune h6 is tricky because youre dealing with opposing dynamics, pisces and virgo. but they are both about healing and service, and both related to chaos either controlled or run rampant. in sagittarius it brings in the dynamics you described. but neptune sagittarius is trying to reach beyond what neptune scorpio symbolized where that generation tried to find itself in the spirituality of sex and the trendy drugs, sagittarius wants to move beyond that into a philosophy culled from various disciplines. its the traveler and the wanderer, and looks at the big picture. mc ruler in h6 gives neptune a double dose of career/job potential. also look at your asc/mc mp and what that points to for you, as well as mc and neptune aspects.

thank you lonake

i will research it more, i didn't look into it too much yet but i see what you mean. i wanted to do some politics before until i relised this would never bring about the change we all hope. so i now decided to become a truck driver which earns good money so i can invest it one way or another in a social action. i would like to rebu ld old house and help homeless or members of my family. when my dad died 16 years ago, he lived in his car. i can't stand that some people live outside

the healing part could be something that i develop but laterwhen i'll have a handle on myself cause right now it would be more the cas of chaos runni rampant, at least psychologically

thanks again

Yes, true. Can't forget those traditional rulers!

I wonder what it means when the traditional ruler (Saturn) is square the modern ruler(Uranus? My Saturn is in H7 and Uranus in H9...maybe meaning challenges and conflicts in regards to relationships and personal growth/spiritually?
