I personally love her style. I think it is very Aquarian/Uranus influenced. It's not what stars have been wearing and I hope that the futuristic look as well as fashion from other cultures will infiltrate fashion trends of people all over the world.

Given her biography it is clear she is gifted but obviously she wanted to make money instead of joining what everyone considers to be the dying trade of classical music. And, well, if one is going to get into the conventional music world, one is literally branding a barcode onto their forehead. She's only for profit and the corporations make sure that her look and songs follow a certain criteria to maximize that profit.

As for her songs, I've only heard one (Poker Face). It is catchy but yeah that's about it. Songs these days are just meant to catch people's attention and provide frivolous entertainment to go along with the detached frivolous activities the masses tend to engage in (though I probably shouldn't use the word engage-that might imply that these activities actually require some type of deep emotion or thought).

Keep it light, ring in the profit-not only from the records but the booze, clothes, make-up, cars, and other aspects of the high consumer/materialistic lifestlye these songs urge their listeners to live (sometimes in not so subtle ways). Most corporations/owners have their hands in many different pies either by owning different types of companies or a large amount of their stock, or being on the board, or indirectly being able to profit from these companies (coco cola from captain morgans rum for example).

But what would I know. I only listen to internet radio and I don't own a TV ;-)

I wouldn't quite put Amy Winehouse in the same category as GaGa [gaga means "retarded" in Greek lol].
At least Wino can write her own songs and lyrics and she has a unique voice, despite her crappy friends, bipolar disorder and various addictions.

it seems to me that i m the only one who appreciates Lady Gaga.

I do!

she is much more trendy, has style and voice, and has huge personality.more than those britneys amys or other´s like that...

i dont know why but i like her. she seems to be very open minded, not judgmental and yup...she shows herself like she is:she doesnt pretend to fit in society or do or sing whatever others want - she shows herself with freedom.

that is what i like in her.

and no tabus on sexuality - great!

Well I think she is on better than the average bimbo female singer. Her sex acts are a bit tired, too Madonna and she does borrow a lot of stuff, think of the bold across her face ala David Bowie in Aladdin Sane. However, she tries and does have presence despite not being a classic beauty. I suspect this might be her utter belief in herself. I have to watch all her videos again but I was impressed with her attempts on Poker Face. For some reason, I remember her licking money in one of her video clips???

As for why people might find her creepy, maybe it's the Sco Moon possibly conj with Pluto. I know someone with this combination in reality and he really makes you feel you are on the edge of your seat around him.

quote:
he Katie Perry song about kissing a girl, horrible catchy tune. Listen to that and it stays in my head for hours. Which is unpleasant.

LOL always makes me laugh how people thinks this song is so radical, little did they know that kissing girls was already sang about by Jill Sobule in the 90s sometime in "I Kissed A Girl".

D, you just contradicted yourself.

If the opposite of attachment is detachment, and love and hate are forms of attachment, and indifference is detachment, then indifference would definitely be the opposite of both love AND hate.

I knew she was a Scorpio Moon from just looking at her but when i looked at her chart on astro theme i was stuned that she was suppose to be Pisces Sun with a Cancer Moon but obviously the birth data over there is incorrect. But a far as her music goes its catchy and she does seem to really try.

That inconjunct from her Aries Sun to her Scorpio Pluto draws my attention here.. Aries tends to be very direct, open and with Sun there (ego, expresion) making a hard aspect to Pluto/Scorpio which is normally associated with sex, transformation, deep hidden things.. the sorts of things many of us don't like to face or deal with or just can't deal with.

Just a thought. Moon in Scorpio is a tricky one you're either on one side or the other, light or dark. I have noticed this with others with this placement and myself.

Lady GaGa seems very fake, putting on a act for her career, and not staying true to herself. it's funny how her music is more mainstream than anything, yet her whole appearance suggests she's the next Bjork. and guess what, even Bjork isn't as frivolous and showoff-y as her. i don't think this charade will last long, and people who are comparing her to be the next MADONNA have another thing coming.

this is why i appreciate Britney Spears. she doesn't try to be or do anything, she remains down to earth and real, yet being creative and artistic. she may not have the greatest voice, but she's surely had the greatest impact on pop culture. maybe this is my Libra sun really caring for her Libra rising and Aqua moon, but she's very inspirational in my book.

"This is interesting, can you please expand by what you mean by this please?"

Hi 23 yes i try and explain in words what i mean as much a possible. Scorpio/Pluto folk i find are very much about extremes. I have read alot of peoples experience who have a Scorpio Moon or a hard aspect involving Mooo/Pluto. I have noticed the majority do seem to start of in a dark place or a dark place deep within themselves.

Myself for example, from a very young age i have always bin self aware, aware of life, death, higer power ect.. I can say i have bin in the dark deep within myself especially when i compare to now and then. I believe everyone touches the dark at first in some way of another some realise and come out of it some don't realise or prefer to dwell in it, just depends on how evolved the person spirit, will is. But its all good, because you have to be in a tunnel to reconise the light at the end of it. I know within myself that i could of bin very dark person with my attributes but i choose not to follow that path and i don't look back.

I hope this helps as i'm not so great at putting this feeling into words.

Hi D you are very much welcome. You might interested to know me and Lady GaGa do share simular hard aspects for example i have the sqaure from my Aqua Sun to Moon/Pluto in Scorpio, Mars in Aries inconjunct Moon/Pluto.
lol but I can assure you are styles are VERY different.

Interesting thread. I generally feel guilty if I have to criticize a musician because, who am I to criticize? Lady Gaga happened not to make an impression on me, as in, I just learned her name recently. I knew that there were these songs but I didn't know who they belonged to. It's as if I couldn't see her, as if something in me is blind to her.

I noticed her when my cousin commented that for a bimbo, Lady Gaga had a good voice. Surprised that there was a new bimbo in the music scene, I tried to pay more attention so that I could hear what my cousin was talking about. And, yes, she has a good voice, save for the fact that she doesn't use it much.

As for the vibe she gives me, it feels as though she is hiding. Does that make sense? I can't see her. What I mean is that she leaves no impression at all, no distinct trail of her essence. She's hiding and I'm not sure whether it is conscious or not. She leaves no personal signature. I'm not making sense, but that's what I get from the lady. This is odd seeing as she's so apparently bold.

She's just not there.

I think we're making a lot of judgments about a woman we know NOTHING about. All we have is her public persona.

She means nothing to me, yet I don't know why I feel the need to defend her (Mars in Sag? Venus in Pisces? Moon in Libra?). This whole post kind of grinds my gears, tbh. It's actually making me want to like her lol. I guess I don't spend time thinking about celebrities I dislike.

As for Emma Watson, she's okay I guess. Her acting is awful (especially in HP4... I felt like her eyebrows were going to fly off her face) but she dresses nicely for events and stuff. I've never really taken an interest in her.

Blue moon - I ADORE POLLY JEAN HARVEY.
I saw her at shepherd's bush empire not long ago.

She is much more important than proclaimed pop artist who thrives on provocation.

Polly Jean Harvey is also from a very well known art school (saint martin's school of art).

I find her much more new and intriguing than lady gaga.

Though compared to all the other starlets I have to gaga is not so bad.
Just not my boat.

Or maybe it's that moon in scorpio and sun in aries (i have venus in aries but i am not drawn to other venus or sun in aries).

I also as an uranian kind of like her clothes too though some **** is just not good looking (venus trine uranus it has to be weird and pretty).

Bjork is a nice woman just living on another planet the type you can dance with when you're in iceland and she's drunk on vodka just cos she's REALLY down to earth.

It's like striking a conversation with PJ harvey on art and getting a thorough well thought and interesting conversation.

These have nothing to do with katy perry, madonna (who's also a big pj harvey fan but never got round to get anything from her the witch can't always win), britney and other clueless talentless so called 'artists' these days.

And I have worked in music so believe me I know what i'm talking about (astrology aside).

My only problem with gaga is that it seems so marketable and well though nothing seems real and genuine.

Bjork seems much more genuine (but bjork is a real plutonian woman her chart is so strong on who she is).

Once i was talking to some crazy artists people who said to me that to be real to yourself you have to be extreme.

I've noticed it's especially true from fixed signs.

I wonder if Lady Gaga has made it onto Kidz Bopz now. All those little kids singing to that chorus...

"Poke-Her-Face..." haha XD

Though my little 7 year old Cancer cousin absolutely loves Lady Gaga, he was dancing to her songs on Memorial's day.

I also want to add, after actually sitting down and watching her videos..she's not that bad and she's kinda adorable..oh those Aries women.

Also she claims she was not (popular) in highschool, so maybe she's just having a bat crap crazy time and sticking it to old hurtful childhood memories.
