As for the cutting of cords....the person does tend to re-appear after you cut the cords, but it's up to you whether or not you want them in your life. They can feel the cut, which is why they attempt to return. If the cut is final you won't be hung up on it. Maybe you're not ready 100% and there's still something to learn from each other.

I'd like to see your love and fate asteroids (Lust, Karma, etc)--but just taking a quick peek at this synastry, several things leap out that would make you feel a deep, mutual, connection with each other. That Vertex/Juno conjunction, and, especially, your Node right on his IC. In my experience, Nodes on the angles create an intensely sticky, "I will love you till after I die" sort of feeling.

My suggestion would be to look at what this relationship is trying to teach you. What do you adore and value about this person, and how can you a) create more of those things in yourself and your own life and b) put those things out into the world, bringing them into the lives of others you come into contact with.

Check which houses his Karma and Destinn fall into in your chart, and use the energy you're spending pining/obsessing to strengthen and develop the areas of your life governed by those houses.

Also--stop trying to forget him or stop loving him. Love (even painful) is one of the things that keeps our lives extraordinary. If I read the charts correctly (I gave a very quick glance), you two are a couple of Sadges! There's plenty of room in your hearts for the special, unshakable connection you have AND the life without him that you've created.

I think this Node/IC connection is asking you to open yourself up more to the world and stretch your edges in life.

Just the other day I had a conversation with someone (I'd never met before) it was in the context of visiting an elderly person who was struggling with loneliness, depression and bereavement. The other person there said: in our society we are expected to get over things quickly and it isn't always possible.

I agree with this, the expression "move on" is everywhere, I have heard it said of someone who lost her partner a few months ago, "shouldn't she be over it by know?" But the human heart does not work this way.

Whilst bereavement is a very different thing from what is being spoken of here, still, we are in the realm of emotions that don't flick on and off like a switch. So my answer is some things you have to learn to live with, rather than force yourself to try and get over.

3. His Uranus conjucnt your Pluto and north node: unpredictably, suprisingly and random fateful events between you and him. He might inspire in you individuality or a need for freedom. Your N. node and Pluto are in Libra and his Uranus there attracts you to be liberated from whatever relationship you are in. Pluto is a hard force to fight and Uranus-Pluto connection always create a strange, UNCANNY attraction. Like being struck by lightning: dangerous, unpredictable, rare and unexpected. Mysterious and fated.

4. His Neptune conjunct your Venus. Your love connection feels like it is like heaven on earth. You feel a spiritual, highly emotional, idealized bond, that you too share a mystical connection that may not be able to be put into words. This connection goes beyond mental, emotional or physical or sexual. More like something psychic. Personal planet-Neptunian type of bonds are ADDICTING.

I have quite a couple with my twin soul and I describe it like being on heroin. Not like I ever had but trying to step away from the bond is like going on withdrawal. And after that person-NOTHING compares. He is like a first sniff of Cocaine. I hear that you can never get back to the high of the first hit but cocaine addicts keep trying. What happens in the brain is that the PLEASURE/ECSTASY levels are blown out of proportion and nothing and no one can set them back again. What you thought was love, pleasure, pain, beauty, desire, ecstasy before the experience now pales in comparison because these feelings were felt 20 times more, on a much higher level with this person. Once the person/drug is gone nothing else in life but this person/drug can bring you back to that high. I don't know if its like this with your guy and I've kind of gone on and on but Neptune-personal planet connections can sometimes do this.

5. His Jupiter is conjunct your Neptune-either he inflates your dreams or illusions or both.

6. Sun square Mars-lots of tension can be sexual.

7. IC CONJUNCT N. NODE: You not only feel at home with him but that your destiny is linked to the emotional nurturing bond that could come out of a partnership with him (libra), esp. a home with him. AS WELL AS feeling that you KNOW him, that you always have. Pluto on IC enhances this 20 fold. Makes it seem fated.

8. You both have Chiron-Mercury connections which I think is important. Could be hard to get him out of your mind, which I think could be one of the hardest side effects of a chiron aspect ever.

9. Also something I think is important is that your AC is almost exactly conjunct his 8th house/DC his 2nd house cusp. Might be some ownership-possessive-obssesive issues going on there.

3. Is he happy in his new life and has he contacted you during the 8 years and recently?

4. Why is your life now not happy enough so that you feel this longing for him?
