Me...classic poker face. Scorpio sun with Aqua rising. The only time it fails is if I am about to break down in tears *** darn Cancer moon*** but it takes extreme circumstances for that to happen. In fact... bc of the Aqua rising I usually smile at everyone despite not feeling particularly happy. It's like a compulsion...it's not a phony thing...hard to explain.IP: Logged |

UGH TELL ME ABOUT IT. It's just sexism. If you were a guy I sincerely doubt they'd tell you to smile. haha, amowls*! i know what you mean about "b!tch faces", i have one too! lol, i think it's my impatience with things/people (Aries rising), so i'm always rolling my eyes or just looking peeved.another good example is Kristen Stewart (Bella, from Twilight). she once said she has the biggest b!tch face of them all, and it's so true! lol, but she seems like a nice girl though. as for poker faces, i think strong Pluto aspects may make one seems tough and intense, yet hard to figure out and mysterious. i know for a fact that when i'm mad in my relationships, i don't let my emotions show at all. maybe my eyes glare at them, but i can quickly hide it away with a smile. I have a major case of b!tch face. I get annoyed when people ask "What's wrong?" or tell me "Smile, you're pretty". I guess females who are not smiley-pies 24/7 must be angry or upset and not being repulsive to look at must be something to have a 24-hour smile for... I guess the look of a female thinking resonates the feeling of aggression/anger from others. I wonder if there are astrological aspects that correlate to having a b!tch face...? Pluto in First?

LOL @ major b!tch face I'm almost always smiling, like a dork, always have (Taurus rising...Mars in the first, and not frowning). I used to get made fun of by boys too when I was younger because I was too smile-y. I guess I have a very different face when I don't smile, because right away I get people asking me what's wrong... OMG WHAT IS WRONG, WHAT HAPPENED? ARE YOU UPSET? WOW, WHAT'S WRONG.
wtf, man, I'm just in my head for a minute and suddenly it's like people thinking my puppy died or something I've also got Mars conjunct the Asc, but also Venus oppose Asc too (and Mars-Venus opposition), so I can go from sweet and smiling to complete b!tch in about half a second IP: Logged |

I'm a Pisces with Scorpio Ascendant.
I also have Mars in the 8th house, so maybe that gives me more control over my aggression too. Then I ALSO have Pluto in the first house, so maybe that makes me aggressive about control? Formally the Ascendant is about other's perception about you, and I've got that in Scorpio, and indeed I think I make it apparent I'm controlling someone if I am, which is totally self defeating lol------------------

I can put a poker face when the situation requires it and/or I just want to for some reason. (I love people thinking I can control my emotions, and I do up to a point.)

DEAr Izoyou are a sweet soul - never would i say sth like that of you. dont feel irritated,i bet amowls was thinking of a specific someone when said that - and not you surely hihihi  Btw i think im a poker face too - that isnt necessarily bad or puts someone to be a B*tchface .... you know that...when people hide their feelings,can be because we want to protect ourselves,and dont want others to know we´re suffering for example....hidding our emotions can be also our way to think about things,sort out ourselves before showing sth to others...etc can be inumerous things - not surely sth for which to be judged about... One of my ex's had the most expressionless face I've ever seen. Before we even spoke to each other, we had a class together in college -- we sat on opposite sides of the room and he'd spend the whole time looking at me with a completely blank stare. Impossible to read him. It was amazingly creepy. I had no idea he liked me until he kissed me.He had sun/Venus conjunct in Virgo in the 12th house, and VIrgo rising. Also Neptune at the apex of a T-square with (Pisces) moon and Mercury... very good at concealing his thoughts and feelings!

Lol. You're sweet. I didn't think she meant me at all, but I do mind judgemental people and I tend to take that personally. Of course poker faces hide their emotions as a method of protection. It is a behaviour you learn from your environment, which usually is threatening and manipulative. So instead of turning the other cheek like a more sensitive person, you fight back in your own way. It's no surprise that people find it disturbing. To feel comfortable around somebody you need a certain amount of predictability so you can feel in control or safe and poker faces you cannot predict. I find it hard to think of you as a poker face, Diandra. Mostly because you're so warm and honest all the time. But I do know you have Saturn and Pluto in your 1st, I guess you have some of that too. One good use of my poker face or ***** face is that people think twice or thrice before they ask me for help or favors, which is a good thing because I find it hard to say NO. Izowell yes...but dont forget i have also moon in 8H and libra asc hihihih so..although i am warm and affecionate(taurus moon)i have that tendency to be in my own world,and so,uncounscioulsy i also hide myself a lot of times,when i feel that something is threatening my peace of Mind. it is just like you say  rotection and self-preservation.but of course when i feel secure,i am very open and i tend to go to the other extreme too:by saying all that comes to my mind,with sincere honesty. i tend to confuse people then hihih IP: Logged |

Haven't read the whole thread yet, but I want to emphatically agree with MVM regarding the desc in Aquarius. I also have cap moon and man, if people only knew the sap that hides behind all of that. Having known many other cap moons, I think I can safely say, a lot is hiding under that coldness. In my case, I really feel the aqua desc the most. My moon is very well aspected and I know the aquarian detachmnet is the first thing others see in me.IP: Logged |
