what placement, asc, or aspect would make someone have a so called "poker face"for example someone that always keeps their cool on the outside even if on the inside they are about to explode. someone that has a complete poker face and you can never tell what they are really thinking or feeling, but inside they are thinking a lot and feeling a lot. I've noticed Cappy rising is good at hiding emotions too. Also, Saturn in the 1st house can do that, I think. IP: Logged |

i always thought aqua too.
interesting to see the cappie on there.
i never thought about that one.do any of you identify with this or have you just noticed it in people you know

moon hard aspect too saturnthis description sounds like me, i allways hide what im feeling, especially in the example you gave. i have leo rising, saturn square moon. im also wondering if pluto being in the 4th is part of it. IP: Logged |

letram, im glad you wrote about yourself.i think i have a leo asc. i dont know what it is for sure.
and im always being told that i have the best poker face and that nobody can figure out if there is anything wrong because i play it cool so well when i need to. and if i do have that asc, then my pluto would also be in the 4th. someone with insight on this, enlighten us. IP: Logged |

If you have Leo asc, then you have Aqua on the 7th house cusp, and that can come off as very cool or detached when it comes to showing feelings, especially intimate feelings. See, those with Aqua on the asc that I know of tend to show their hotheadedness of Leo dsc, I have noticed. My mother is proof of this (Aqua Sun/rising/Cappy Moon....you'd think she'd be all aloof, but she's quite the opposite), as well as a few others I know. I don't think it's fool-proof, but i do think the Dsc can also speak volumes about how we act when it comes to the realm of emotion. EDIT: I know someone with Pluto in the 4th and Moon sq Saturn but he had a *terrible* time trying to hide his feelings. He was transparent....Cancer rising. Taurus Sun/Moon. His Moon/Sun/Rising are all in feminine signs...so he sometimes came off even as a little more feminine and receptive than he really was within (in fact he wasn't feminine at all, it was just appearance) Also, the whole masculine/feminine sign stuff... most people are a mix of feminine/masculine with their rising, moon, sun... 2 masculine, one feminine, or vice- versa. Having all masculine in those 3 combos can make a person seem more poker-faced. IP: Logged |

I've been known to have one of those and I think it's due to my Moon (Cancer) both sextiling Saturn (Taurus) and Pluto (Virgo)IP: Logged |

I'm a Cap Ascendant/virgo moon and while I have great self control over my emotions....I don't think I have a poker face. Because In the end, my eyes end up revealing EVERYTHING.  IP: Logged |

I'm very much like that. I have the best poker face I know. I've been in serious pain and no-one can tell. Moon in Aquarius in 11th maybe. I think it comes from growing up in a very volatile household where any show of emotion could trigger a rage so it was safest not to show any kind of response/emotion. Moon square Mars & Saturn. Chiron (in 12th) conjunct AC (Aries). I don't know what else. Maybe Uranus on DC.IP: Logged |

Well pardon my over indulgence but I feel the combination of Libra ascendant, Scorpio sun and Capricorn moon is the essence of a "poker face".You will see the blank intense calculating non descript affront, with a slather of Venusian its all about you till I let you know its not!!

I get told about my expression-less face or cool appearance and i'm aware of it myself at times..only people who are in my close circle can really know whats going on under the surface just from my eyes. I have excellent self control in all areas. lol Sometimes I get people on the street going to me "oh smile" and i'm like.. er I am, you just can't tell. "Poker face" is one description that always comes up when describing Scorpio placements and the kool/aloof appearance normally for Capricorn/Aqaurius. Sun Aquarius 11H
