DD,Check out what contacts those asteriods make to your NN/SN- in your natal and synastry. I just checked some of my past relationships with these asteriods... the one that was the most ill-fated contained a DW of Isolda conjunct NN. We also had a Lancelot/Guinvere DW (trine/opposition). I've also noticed a pattern (for me at least)- all of the relationships I ended contained Lancelot/Guinevere contacts. IP: Logged |

"In Tristan and Isolda`s case they couldnīt live without the court even with all that love between them. They were once being together in the woods, on their own, but they were so dependent on society that they couldnīt deal with it. So they returned and split up (Isolda returned to her husband, King Mark(e)), but even despite all that they kept on longing for each other. And once when Tristan was deathly wounded, they sent for Isolda (she was a great healer); Of course Isolda immediately undertook that travel to cure her beloved. But Tristan`s second wife - in a fit of jealousy- told him that his Isolda didn`t want to have anything to do anymore with him and didn`t want to see him again. Upon hearing that Tristan died. When Isolda found him dead, she also died, of a broken heart probably. I donīt know why this myth feels so deeply personal to me, but everytime I`m talking or thinking about it, I cry. REally. Every time. I couldn`t even watch that film because it hit me too strongly. Strange. Even though I love Lancelot and Guinevere, too, it doesn`t have the same emotional impact."
Thats so touching to me and such a deep story i understand what you mean about it feeling personal.. i felt like that when we first looked at Persephone/Pluto aspects. The Tristan/Isolada conjunction we have does not surprise me at all very simular sittuation actually. What even more interesting is a couple days ago i was in a store and they had DVD's on offer and i was just staring at the movie Tristan & Isolda but i did not purchase it but i think i will when i go back. 2Sorry, I fear I got all emotional and boring here." Oh no, not at all DD! "Your VAlentine aspecting his Tristan probably really loves his Tristan(ian) attributes." hm yes i think so. "Maybe I experienced a similiar story in a past life, who knows?" You never kno

DD,Besides Isolda, are there any other asteriods (Lancelot, Tristan, Pyramus, etc) that touch the NN/SN in your synastry/natal, though? I'm trying to see if i've found a pattern... but maybe the pattern just fits for me, personally. IP: Logged |

"2Well, Pluto / Persephone touched me deeply, too, but it was different; that Tristan / Isolda carries so much sadness and a sense of tragedy with it, this whole "forbidden love"-vibe, at least for me."Yes this was tragic. haha yes i don't believe in coincidences anymore not at all! Especially this past few years. IP: Logged |

Hmm... i just re-read your post about the composite Isolda/SN... What did that feel like? I remember in my case it was like it was like a constant chase. Back and forth, back and forth. Always see-sawing between being together and not being together... but maybe that was the result of other placements.. What would Isolda/Node do to a chart, do you think? You know much more about the myth than i do... IP: Logged |

I found another case of Isolda/NN, but this synastry didn't involve me.I've also found 3 cases of Tristan opposing NN/conjunct SN. The first is between two people who are no longer together, the second is between two people who are together, but have many obstacles to overcome, and the third is between me and my imaginary lover, Ralph Fiennes. To be perfectly honest, i don't think that contact will ever allow the individuals involved to ever REALLY move on. Like you said, it gets easier with time, but it never disappears completely. And never will. But scars aren't always bad. They remind you of where you've been, and who you once were. You just have to make sure that the wound doesn't re-open, because then you'll need A LOT of antiseptic. IP: Logged |

Well, i don't want to get all excited over the Tristan/Isolda/Node connections just yet. I mean, i've only found them in a few synastries. But i noticed you mentioned having a Lancelot/Guinevere opposition with Jude- YIKES! In MY experience... that's a paiinnnnnnnful one. And never ends with riding white horses into the sunset, if you catch my drift. IP: Logged |

Understandable. But what can you do? You can't ignore your feelings. You can't just NOT be attracted to him. The best, and worst, part about attraction is that we cannot control it.I'm thinking that Lancelot/Guinevere aspects point to impossible, maybe even unrequited, love. Love that is not supposed to happen. I've found a Lancelot/NN opposition and a Guinevere/NN sextile in a friend's synastry with this boy she's NEVER gotten over. They hate each other now, but i think it's because they never dated. Underneath all her curses i think there's still a regret that she never caught him. And the "not meant to be" thing rings true in the synastries i've had involving L/G. It doesn't mean we didn't love each other, but we just weren't meant to be. IP: Logged |
