for me my "past-life-research" started with dreams, Deja - vus and meditations, long before astrology even came into play.

But I think if you have sufficient clues, it definitely makes sense to look at the DRaco-chart and also at some asteroids like Karma or SN-conjunctions.

if you look at the heliocentric nodes of any object, you will be looking at pastlife karma of a collective nature

if you look at the geocentric nodes of Mercury,Venus,Mars, and the asteroids(that doesn't include centaurs and kuiper belt objects..those are generational), then you will be look at karma of a personal nature.

Jeffery Wolf Green uses south geocentric planetary nodes for pastlife karma indicators in his Evolutionary Astrology.

so you can examine the south node by the placement of its sign,house, and aspects as well as its dispositor and its sign,house,and aspects.

so the drowning thing certainly makes sense. of course we could all have been on the titanic! another person i have karmic ties with has chiron opp algol, and our combined-name asteroid hints that we may have been seafarers together!!

roundabout way of saying that i agree this may have more to do with past lives than the present, especially since i have not been involved in any major "catastrophes", at least by my definition, in this one.

edit: and after all that, did a little searching and can't find reference to death by water anywhere, but strangulation, hanging, beheading are all mentioned! am i dreaming about the water thing??

interestingly he makes the point that algol has been squared by something significant during all those nasty times and more - and that reminds me that it is currently squared by the NCJ conjunction as you mentioned earlier, quinnie....not that it may not have been in similar patterns at other times that aren't in the books as disasters!

I have clear recall of:
Crimean War
WW2/Indo-Pak Parition 1940s
Vietnam War

Have been a master swordsman who could take out dozens of enemies in Ancient Assyria/Babylon. This was the most bizarre recall as I was aware of my present day peaceful geeky life as well so to be able to yank a sword from the sharp end with perfect technique was just amazing.

And much before that I have lived through a very strange Sumerian Battle, with UFO type stuff and Hieroglyphics activating stargates
[much before seeing this stuff in movies/books]

The most irritating thing about my past life recalls is that every cell in my body knows I have lived in Atlantis BUT I am yet to recall anything from that lifeline. There is a possibility that Atlantis occured in Mars and we are Martian refugees but then again I dont recall that either.

I know what you mean. It actually felt like an almost electric shock when I noticed that film / TV-series for the first time, and realized that someone had just taken something out of my subconscious, out of my "day-dreams".

And now watching the series I have been very surprised at the parallels to what we have been discussing lately.

EDIT:
Actually watching that series makes me having strange thoughts.
For example one day when I was walking to school I was suddenly having that idea flash through my mind: What if the stonecircles really are stargates?
LOL
AS I said, sometimes I am fantasizing too much.

Anyway, I found it interesting, but my mum and me were talking about Babylon last weekend, or more exactly we were talking about the zikkurat, which we had seen as a model in a museum many years ago and she mentioned that it was the first time that she was feeling dizzy, cause there was no hold along the stairs.
And interestingly we both remembered how white and beautiful it was.
And it`s strange, we usually never remember the same things we have seen somewhere. And this was so many years ago, and yet she did remember it as well (my father didn`t have a clue what we were talking about I guess).

The interesting thing is that my Mum and me have an exact Sumeria-Sumeria-conjunction in Aquarius, which opposes her Pluto.

Her DNA opposes her Mesopotamia and trines her Chaldaea.
My DNA conjuncts my Babel and Babylon and trines my Sumeria.

Her Karma conjuncts her Babylon and opposes her Babel.
My Karma trines my Ur, and trines my DR Babylon.

iq knows some of the karmic debts i have paid, as he has helped me immensely to negate recognise and release. the more i forgive wrongs done to me in this life, the more i releive myself of karmic debt.

i believe i am moving into a blessing place now. but many tragedies, accidents, unexpected un-timely deaths, attacks - both physical and spiritual had plagued my life up until a certain point, until i accept them as part of my life and stand firmly in the face of much that happens and choose to look for and see good.
