I've been meaning to ask about this for awhile but I keep forgetting to.

I sometimes 'hear' things (voices, etc, but mostly before I fall asleep), but mainly it's music that I hear randomly for no reason (and there's no music being played), and I am interested in knowing about.

I can almost count on it happening at certain times:

- If I'm having a bath and put my head underwater.
- For some reason, when I'm staying at my parents', and I turn on the wall unit A/C, I hear music like there's a concert playing in the next room (wtf, the haunted A/C? )
- Out of nowhere, if I am working on making jewelry, I will look up and realize there's music on somewhere, even if there's not. Sometimes it freaks me out, so I play [real] music instead lol

I do 'hear stuff' on occasion, but it's music that's interesting because
A) I don't play music (or really desire to)
B) It's very distinct when I hear it, like, with someone singing as well

I'm wondering if it's a Moon thing? The whole 12th house moon, maybe, with the Pisces cusp? Or my 3rd house? I have Cancer on the 3th house cusp.

Has anyone 'heard music' before?
Could this be revealed astrologically?

Wow, I thought there was something wrong with me because I've been hearing music and voices before I go to sleep ever since I was a child. They don't talk to me it's like if I was hearing conversations between outsiders. It doesn't happen always (actually it hasn't happened for a few weeks I think) but it DOES happen and I know what you mean. Sorry I don't have an aswer, just wanted to share.
If it helps, my 12th house is empty, although I have Neptune in mey 8th house (is that even meaningful?)

this happens to me a lot! and my pisces moon correlates with your 12th houser...but a question further; do you also have ringing in your ears at all? mine doesn't interfere with my hearing even a little, but it is always there if i "tune in", or when i do something like meditate...

but i know exactly what you mean about being underwater, or ac or heaters going. it's very distinct but also distinctly belonging to another "dimension' for lack of a better concept...

and mozart claimed that music "came" to him in entire pieces, out of the air; as does keith richards and many other "composers". maybe my idea about you singing was not as far off base as you thought!

but the pisces moon definitely makes sense to me, or in your case the 12th connection. mozart had moon/pluto conj in the 4th, pisces SN and mars in cancer...so the water connection holds up there.

Katatonic, YES, I hear the ringing in my ears too on occasion! Nothing wrong with my ears either... weird. It'll happen at odd times, not necessarily during meditation, but it's almost like an alarm to listen or something, because I'll start to feel myself paying attention all of a sudden, like setting my ears.

Lehia2... Wow, I also hear the conversations between others sometimes.
I have the Neptune 12th house cusp, and Neptune at the end of my 7th but it conjuncts my 8th house. So I do feel it might have something to do with that too, and yes, I think it would be meaningful probably.

Good topic, I don’t randomly hear music but I almost always wake up with a song playing in my head, sometimes its a song I am familiar with or its a rhythm out of no where sometimes with a lyric sometimes without.

I keep a pad and tape recorder by my bed so I can write down what I remember. I love music and am musically inclined; I've played music since I was in elementary school.

I think it could be a 3rd house thing or perhaps aspects to Venus/Neptune in the chart?

You should learn to play music. That way, you could get inspired by that other dimension you're tapping in to, and recreated that music.

Scorp, I think if Venus is involved then you would be more musically inclined too. I don't see Venus figuring into this for me, since Cancer (the Moon) is on my 3rd cusp, and my moon is in the 12th. So it feels like a 3rd, 12th, and maybe 8th house thing maybe. My Venus makes no aspects to Neptune (I wish it did lol), but Neptune does trine/sextile my Mercury and Jupiter, and my Mercury/Jupiter are trine.

How wonderful, to wake up with a song in your head like that!
I do write poetry and rhythm is VERY important to me with that. So I don't know.

AG - I wish
It runs in the family to play, but I never got around to it (shall I mark this as yet another project? lol)

Wow! That's so fascinating. I'm a musician and it doesn't happen to me, or is hasn't happened all my life. But last summer I had an experience that seems to have carried over slightly.

My bedroom is attached to the kitchen and in the summer I run the airconditioner in the kitchen while leaving my bedroom door open. I noticed that when my head is in certain positions or partially covered, I hear many voices that seem to be whispering in my ears. It freaked me out really bad the first time I noticed it because I have a big fear of ghosts and hearing voices. BIG FEAR! Especially because I know that my roommates father died in the kitchen in 1992 and also because his mother lived here when she died young back in 1970. My roommate still lives here in his childhood home. So I thought I was hearing ghosts, but I figured out that it was just the white noise filtering in my ears a certain way.

But I won't dis-count the reality of what it could be. I believe the voices and sounds are always there, but the white noise might be helping my ears to interpret messages coming through or music or whatever. But I completely believe it's possible that constant music and messages are traveling on frequencies we that we normally block out everyday.

I think it's even more possible now that we speak on cell phones more and we can download music right out of the sky and things like that. I remember Lionel Ritchie saying that he always had music playing in his head 24 hours a day. It's not a shock to me.

I think a lot of in music actually. my primary thinking is pictures and then feelings

I wrote a lot of poetry as teenager, was good with lyrical type stuff.

I have Moon in Pisces square Neptune in 3rd

I also think that my Mercury-Venus-Neptune parallel is the main one though.

I also wonder about my Moon in alignment with Fomalhaut. Ebertin said that it has Mercury-Venus-Neptune influence.

I have Mercury conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint too

Me too. I play music, and I've always got a song in my head. It's incorporated with my Gemini Rising into an almost nervous habit of always having a rhythm going within myself. (My Sagittarian friend recently commented that my cajon was a perfect instrument for me and my infamous tapping) And the more I stay away from listening to music, the more often original music shows up. If I'm at home I'll go to the guitar, and figure it out.

My Mercury, Venus, and Neptune make up my Sagittarian stellium in the 7th, and Venus/Neptune sextiles to my Moon conjunct Pluto in the 5th.

My grandma was hearing music when she was in the hospital, but there was no music. She had high blood pressure and was really hard of hearing. I doubt you're hard of hearing, but do you maybe have tinnitus or high blood pressure?

AG

Venus is my chart ruler and I have Venus Mars in Sagittarius and Mars sextile Neptune.

I also find that other than the AM when I wake up, I am also much more mentally open to music in the very early morning hours (2-4 AM) if I’m awake it’s weird…

there are some who believe that tinnitus is your body's way of telling you to listen to your inner voice...which i don't rule out. but often it sounds like OTHER PEOPLE's conversations, sometimes too muffled to make out but definitely there, and then some words will stand out from the general mush. but for me it's usually musical phrases and rhythms, which could well be used in poetry OR music.

I hear music and conversations as well. Mostly music now, though. As a kid it was more conversations.

it sounds like it is coming from far off and in the distantance. I have not noticed if there tends to be a time that has a highre frequency than others. I will pay attention to it now.

I love music. It is so much a part of meand my life but I am not a musician and I am somewhat tone deaf.

Lonake, that's so interesting!
Yes, before I go to sleep I have the same raid succession you're talking about. Scenes and dialogue and almost like POV stuff.
My Saturn isn't in Pisces though...
I wonder what it is, but I don't worry about it too much either.

As for the noise stuff... it's never really been a sinister thing for me. Sometimes it does feel like an unconscious thing (coming from my own unconscious), but other times I wonder if I'm 'feeling' automatically into my environment.

I remember once about 2 years ago in a meditation circle the woman guiding it was putting everyone in a relaxed state. Then I started to hear all these sounds, like someone had the TV on in another room, and it sounded like a program with a man on horseback, talking to his horse. I interrupted the meditation because I really thought a TV was on somewhere, and described the noise I heard.
Odd thing - the woman told me that I'd 'heard' her spirit guide, that he usually made himself known to her by being on horseback, a man on a horse, talking to it. She had had someone in the room months before with special sound equipment trying to capture it, and apparently they had, and it was subtle and faraway-sounding.

So I have no idea what this stuff is. Like static from others or something, or just occasional insane sensitivity.
Sometimes I wonder if it's imprints we pick up on, and attribute it to ghosts or spirits or guides. Otherworldly stuff.
I'm filing it under the WTF category lol

Yeah this happens to me.
I posted about this once (maybe Ishould look for the thread)and it seemed to be either an air thing (i'm libra, aquarius, libra, sn,mn,asc) whilst the other person who said she had experienced this was a double Gemini.

But it could be a Neptune thing too. I have Neptune in the 3rd house sqaure Venus.

Oh, it was a Battlestar Galactica reference.

I would look at how your Neptune is aspected, as well as the ruler of the 12th AND what house Pisces rules in your chart (or any planets in Pisces).

I keep hearing windchimes and there are no windchimes close to my house, though when I move to AZ I plan to buy some and hang them in my dorm window, also with a dream catcher..

I like that kind of stuff (> w > )<3
