wheels of cheese - great name for a cafe! but be warned that if you start your own business you may not have time for writing! shakespeare and the other greats all had at least part-time dayjobs that paid for the paper and ink...i for one agree with pa you are a great writer. didn't you say you were an archeologist? not interested in digs? or writing about archeology/history?

saturn in the 1st is a good observation..this is the perfect time for you to be thinking about PREPPING for your new career which would really take off around 7? years from now when the old goat crosses your ic and starts his journey up toward peak recognition in houses 7-10...

and don't forget that even with late leo on the horizon your first house has a lot of virgo in it which means you are always going to be having to pay attention to the details...but that 10th house moon is in gemini, and the 3rd house is loaded too, so you need to use that brain not just for sorting other people's information and details, but for learning and teaching, maybe through writing..

Going on the Virgo rising natal, you have options. The not so good option are Pluto and Neptune related. Undertaker, escort, accountant/Artist, cinema worker, drug dealer. All of these options will not be good in the long term.

Saturn makes a positive aspect to Moon, yet the aspect to Mars is where you need to look. Mars is in Taurus, which means opening your own food shop or even bank is a much better option. With that Virgo rising, service is fine for you. Maybe even selling plant online (I didnt say drug dealer)

Mars in Taurus is the best option, with Moon in Gemini a close second.
If you need more of an option, Sun/Uranus conjunction in Libra is also fine.
A combination out of those is best.

Even I did not win a writing competition in school even though I was always the undefeated wordsmith

Ebay is great but I would also suggest www.scribd.com which is only for American Citiziens as of now [Am feelin jealous of y'all Americans... ]

I'm feeling envious of all you ladies out there that actually plan stuff out.
When I don't like a job, I quit it, there and then.
There always seems to be another.
I had an office job ONE time, given to me by a temp service, and I left at lunch time never to return.
Wheels, if writing is your passion, but you still need to make money, perhaps you could start yourself a house cleaning side business?
I did this for years.
All you need are cleaning supplies.
I told all my clients that they had to supply their own vacuum, cuz I went thru two in the first year.
It's not hard, and word of mouth with get you more jobs than you'll probably want. Eventually, I had to get myself a helper.
The hours were great.
You can choose your days off.
And you said you like cleaning!
I did not like cleaning, but since I am a sag, change of scenery is a must, so I enjoyed going into peoples home, looking at the stuff on their walls and so forth.
If you think you'd be interested, let me know, I can give you more details.

Hi wheelsofcheese!

How funny - before I ever knew anything about your chart, I always assumed you were a Leo ASC just by the way you write! You sound a little like me sometimes (I'm a Leo ASC myself).....We tend to often write as we speak or think - with a hell of a lot of flair!!!

Strange turn of events.....

Whilst not technically the best writers, Leo can produce some great stories (J.K.Rowling anybody?) and that's really the only thing I'm looking for in a writer! You've probably been told a million and one times that you're one the most entertaining writers on these boards (your own thread has me captivated!) so I say go for it girl!!!

xxx

PS) The way I got into writing? I did an Open University course in Creative Writing and my God do I highly recommend them! I'm doing a degree with them now and my writing's gotten a lot better for it.

Wow Wheels, you've been given a lot of great ideas from everyone!

That NN really stands out for me! In the 5th house!!! Yippee! (With Jupiter for an extra boost). Being a 5th house gal myself, I can just say, any influence in the 5th house brings a lot of satisfaction. So, obviously you are not in your 'calling'. Also, transit Pluto is giving you that niggling feeling to start some serious tranformation started.

And yes, I agree with those here that say you're a fantastic writer - You're very quick and witty! A great laugh and fun to have around!!

When I first saw your comment about buying and selling I thought ebay. Keep it up as a sideline business. Ebaying seems to bring you some pleasure.

You have a lot supporting writing in your chart. Your Moon in Gemini, your Leo Asc (for the added drama), Sun/Uranus/Merc in 3rd house. You're a natural anyway!!

So, what's your plan now Wheels, after reading everyone's words of encouragement? First, up the ante on your eBay stock flow; start a writer's course; start writing out into the community, eg, letters to the editor, local magazine; open new networks with business people any way possible, even if it's over a pint; do 2-3 jobs to keep you busy and productive (your Gemini/3rd house influence will help you do this); look in the mirror each day and tell that woman she's awesome, talented and powerful...!!!

Gem Moon was what sprung out at me immediately from your chart (even though I'm tanked up on Baileys) and you mentioned writing so I'd say go for the writing. Children and drunks tell the truth. Remember that. And I have Gemini (Mars & Saturn in the 10th) and Virgo rising in my chart as well so I do know what I am talking about. I have had 3 books published and if I can do it so can you. Go for it girl! What's stopping you!!

Lots of love,

Lyra

Mme Zala’s words to Missy Wheels in another thread:

6/2/09:

quote:
Hi wheelsies ~
You are such a remarkable woman <3 <3 <3
Thanks for your Tale of The Letter! It's such a precious thing watching your growth in these pages ;-))
I (breathlessly) await the day when you take heed of my suggestion that you write professionally. That is, unless you have a better career in mind?? :-D
To reiterate, the world will be a poorer place if you do not find a way to write and publish…..
You said you had a novel idea – I have a novel idea too
Which is, write about your story with PWDM. Your adventures since 08/08/08 have kept us all riveted, thru the tears and laughter, for MONTHS!!
Do I remember correctly, that you’ve kept a journal??
I would pay money to read your journal

Another item on my list for WOC Career Camp is ~PHOTOGRAPHY~
You take fabulous pictures!! Your eye for composition is no less than amazing, and you make simple pictures of ordinary things seem extraordinary

Love,
K’Z

hey wheels of cheese,

i'm sort of like you in that i have a gemini moon and leo ascendant. i was a total writer when i was growing up and in school too. i so wanted to be a writer. was semi-serious about it in that i researched how one goes about pitching book ideas to publishing houses. bought that writer's bible where you send your submissions to in nyc and all that...etc...

the great thing about writing is that you can do it for free and whenever you want. in addition to what everyone else has said, i highly suggest starting your own blog. either it be a public diary or a specific subject that you have your own unique spin on that people would like to read about. try www.blogger.com. my only advice if you go the writing route is to just always write. every single day. no matter what it is. if your day at work is mind numbing, you can go home and be creative and write.

good luck wheels of cheese!

Thank you all for your lovely words of support. Having read and distilled all the comments I'm going to give writing a go and have looked at the Open University Creative Writing Course, starting in October (thank you Taumini, I didn't know anything about the OU other than I hear it's brilliant). Enough time to save, and I'm going to start writing NOW, as I had an epiphany on Friday and though "Huh, maybe you do have something to say".

I love you all for your kindness. I feel better and now I have a plan I don't feel so trapped.

Right now, transiting pluto is conjunct your north node. The north node being part of a kite formed by asc, saturn, mars and north node and transiting pluto. So may be this transit makes you want to intensify what the kite represents for you. Something to do with long term, personal action towards fulfilment...

Ok my comment doesn't give you a career though. Good luck with it.

Wheels, I'd shell out big bucks to read your thoughts. And I'm a cheap Venus-in-Cap b@stard, so that's a testament to your talent!

quote:
I don't feel at home in my work.

That jumped out to me because it's how I view the MC-IC axis: we want careers that filter our IC self in MC ways.

You have Mercury cnj your Scorpio IC. Mercury on your IC illustrates you're a writer at heart. Scorpio shows the type of issues/way you think, and Taurus shows the way you package that inner self for the public. I could also see this chart fitting a career in crafts, but Mercury there (along with your airy Sun/Moon) emphasizes that you're a natural for creating a product with words.
