Narcissism = Planets in Leo, Sagittarius (think Jupiter = bighead), also Taurus (think Venusian influence, high emphasis on outward appearances inc. beauty, material things, low emphasis on intellect/ thinking/ feeling), + Scorpio ('cos Scorpios have ego + they are also into appearances). Planets in Pisces can also be a clue (Jupiter again?) - although Pisces is much more subtle and neurotic and less showy than the abovementioned signs, there can be an inversion of the "me-no-good" qualities of the sign where the native Piscean thinks they're far above everything really - they can be incredible snobs. I say this because I have a lot of Pisces and don't tend to think of myself as narcissistic - however, I score very highly in the Narcissistic category (can't you hear me talking about myself?) as well as (just out of interest here) the Paranoid category. Yes! Me and my mother have always said to her "S** you must have been filthy rich and royalty in a past life." I have never seen another person who thinks everyone else should "cater" to her every whim. She doesn't ask for anything she Demands it. It's so bad she actually treats other people like they're servants! Even our parents who are in their 60s. It's sickening to watch. She is also mean and hateful. She makes fun of poor people who are less fortunate than her! Not a very nice person. I've always attributed this mostly to that really stronge leo abundance so I'm interested in hearing about regulas, all I know is it's a fixed star.IP: Logged |

I also wonder if people with significant alignments to first magnitude stars are also in synchronicity narcissistic traitspeople focus on Leo because its the zodiac sign ruled by the Sun The Sun is actually the star that our planet, our fellow solar planets, and all other solar objects evolve around it is one of many stars so maybe an alignment with a bright fixed star could indicate possibility of narcissism because of the "look at me..look how bright I shine...I am really special"
I would look at the 4 Royal Stars of Persia
Aldebaran, Alpha Taurus Regulus, Alpha Leo Antares, Alpha Scorpius Fomalhaut, Alpha Pisces Australis I have Moon in alignment with Fomalhaut, and well...I am not Narcissistic...completely the opposite....Avoidant Personality disorder traits. Special education is a very humbling experience.
I think that Saturn-Neptune opposition squaring my Moon is the big modifier my Saturn/Neptune midpoint in 3'28 Virgo is exactly opposite the longitude placement of Fomalhaut in 3'28 Pisces too. My Moon is in 3'11 Pisces. so Moon is in alignment with Fomalhaut and oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint. but yeah...look at alignments to the bright stars especially involving the Sun,Moon,Ascendant,Midheaven...especially the Royal Stars as well as the brightest Stars of the Sky. Sirius is the brightest.

The astrological influences of the star Regulus Notes: A triple star, flushed white and ultramarine, situated on the body of the Lion. From Regulus, a Little King, and often called Cor Leonis, the Lion's Heart, and symbolically the Crushing Foot. It was one of the four Royal Stars of the Persians in 3,000 B.C., when, as Watcher of the North, it marked the summer solstice. [Robson*, p.194-195.] According to Ptolemy it is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter, but most later authors liken it to Mars only, while Alvidas states that it is similar to the Sun in good aspect to Uranus. It gives violence, destructiveness, military honor of short duration, with ultimate failure, imprisonment, violent death, success, high and lofty ideals and strength of spirit, and makes its natives magnanimous, grandly liberal, generous, ambitious, fond of power, desirous of command, high-spirited and independent. [Robson*, p.195.] It may convey royal properties, noble mind, frankness, courage. The importance of this star is accentuated by its nearness to the ecliptic. Its effect is in the best sense that of Jupiter and Mars. On the Ascendant, it will give a courageous and frank character, especially if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter or Mercury. Positioned on the MC, Regulus will raise the native to high positions in life, positions far exceeding the environment the native was born into. On the MC it is not only a good omen for a military career, but also for careers connected with the public, such as lawyers, civil servants, bankers and the clergy, especially if Regulus is also in conjunction with the Sun or Moon or with a benefic stellar body. According to tradition, Regulus conjunct MC will bring with it connections with rulers, honorable people or famous people. If the cosmogram as a whole points to this possibility, Jupiter conjunct Regulus is one of the best configurations for success. People like this can reach high positions, positions of trust, preferment and favors; fortunes. Riches and power could fall to these natives easily. Elsbeth Ebertin had this star near the MC (the author of this book, 'Fixed Stars and Their Interpretations' and mother of Reinhold Ebertin author of 'C.O.S.I.'). An old saying goes that Regulus in the 10th house 'makes astrologers to kings. people in high positions and noble men'. Naturally not everyone who has this configuration will make a 'Royal Astrologer' even if he has the necessary knowledge and capabilities. But with Frau Ebertin, this rule was borne out. During the first world war, her book 'Royal Nativities' was published. There followed commissions from royal houses and ruling industrialists (listed in the book Fixed Stars and their Interpretations by Ebertin-Hoffman). Elsbeth Ebertin studied historical events with the planetary configurations in each case and came to the following conclusion; "when Mars or Saturn are in conjunction with Regulus, especially exciting events are always recorded e.g. assassinations, coup d'états, revolutions, revolts, demonstrations, overthrow of heads of state and similar events". [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p51-52.] http://www.constellationsofwords.com/stars/Regulus.html Regulus * Lion's Heart † Behenian Star The most Royal Star. Maybe you're on to something, Glaucus, with the 4 Royal Stars of Persia ('course, it could just be coincidence). What do you think? Mind ya, my rising star is Menkalinan - varying degrees of luck there...not that I care LOL... IP: Logged |

Scrappy....when a person does read the description is really does ring a lot of bells.I've been perusing many sites on that. Now with the stars, I never looked into that and I think I'd be a greenhorn with use of the stars in Astrology.

I was reading through my Astrological Insights into Personality book and was reading on the natal Jupiter/Pluto aspects and I really think it would be a contributing influence into NPD especially the hard aspects of conj, square and opposition. The 2 difficult people in my life that have been quite hellish is a Jupiter conj Pluto square Saturn and another with Jupiter square Pluto...... Jupiter has to do with relating to others....square to pluto...it seems to really put the control aspect with others....where the owner of this configuration demands information...shared stuff instead of being voluntary.... Square to Saturn....inhibiting. IP: Logged |

Cyn, hmm, are you a Taurus, Cancer or Pisces influenced person?I have Mars Conj Mer in Scorp and a loaded 5th house.. I fit quite well into NPD based on your definitions.. but, my observation is NPD could be relative based on the person who interacts with me.. For an Aries or Leo, I won't be an NPD by any means.. whereas for water, 4th or 12th house influenced people I would come across as an NPD. IP: Logged |

it's a dissection of the charts of the 2 that I know of that might suggest it.....somebody else may have it in their chart and think that it really doesn't fit them - maybe something else in their chart has a stronger influence that counteract these aspects. Hard to say....but in these 2 charts this is what I can gather.I'm a Heinz 57 of Astrological signs in my chart. I have planets scattered all over the place. I have planets in all 3 signs that you have asked about but the strong influence is my Mars in Capricorn in the 8th - I am an Aries. Now for myself - I am a highly sensitive person who worries a lot about others. I have a job taking care of people with developmental disabilities and am a listener.....I'm so far from NPD. (Though I think being sensitive is highly overrated and possibly brought on by childhood dysfunction.) IP: Logged |

I'm just coming across individuals now that seem to be Narcissistic and seeing what it is in their chart that could show it for them because I think the above mentioned placement fit for that one person only and I think it would be greatly unfair to say that it would also fit another person's chart when it CLEARLY CAN"T! With such a little exercise I have started looking at folks I know very well in my life.....So the next person on my list has Sun, Mercury, Venus all in Mercury square to Neptune, Jupiter and Mars in Virgo. The Virgo in the is person's chart really wins out cause the Gemini stuff seems invisible. The most cagiest person I have known a d would ginzu your soul if you did 1 wrong thing that was small.
