This is my new discovery and just wonder how that could be found/indicated in a chart?

My daughter's father is one and he has one very strong Leo influence in his chart that would show that to me. It's just his Leo stuff in his chart and it doesn't apply to any other Leo's.

He has Sun, mercury and Mars all in Leo in his 12th house. I find the Mercury Mars conjunction really comes out in conversation as he MUST dominate all conversations. It is very hard to get a word in and he never listens to anybody. If a person ever suggested anything to him he gets extremely irate and red under the collar like he's been humiliated or greatly offended.

I'm not sure what other configurations or sign influences one would have.

My estranged step father, who is a pisces has something in his chart like Pluto and Jupiter conj in Leo square to Saturn in Sag. He is one highly emotionally abusive man - which I find odd as a Sun sign water person....

Any ideas or observations?

shrugs...I don't believe in psychiatric labels that much...especially personality disorders

I just don't trust psychiatry.

I've been labeled Borderline Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality Disorder,Schizotypal Personality Disorder and Avoidant Personality Disorder.

I think many neurodivergents can fit a variety of personality disorders

now that aside

I don't put much emphasis on signs

also just because a person has a significant water influence doesn't mean that they are nice, harmless, and considerate people.....many can actually be abusive, and he could be connected to mental health problems and abuse

my mother has Ascendant,Mercury,Venus,Jupiter,Uranus in Cancer along with Moon and Saturn in Scorpio....she was very abusive both mentally and physically.....she has history of mental health problems, as well been through traumatic experiences, and abusive fosterhomes, and been in bad relationships

she would get mad easily when people talk to her and criticize her...especially if they seem to talk down to her. It's connected to her own insecurity about her intelligence even though she's smart herself. She's a neurodivergent too.

She has Pluto in 3rd square Moon in Scorpio in 5th.

I think that psychiatric problem indicators are hard to distinguish from neurdovergent indicators, and so I don't even bother trying to find psychiatric problem indicators in people's charts.

some symptoms of avoidant personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder have overlap like if person criticizes them, they can get upset easily.

the avoidant personality disorder is a person that is very insecure, and so he overreacts because he's insecure

the narcissistic personality disorder person is a bit selfish, conceited, and so he overreacts because of inflated self importance

his Leo planets are in 12th house, and so it's tricky. phobias, insecurities, fears, anxieties are also things associated with the 12th house.

there could be some insecurity that he has inside himself that he covers up with masculine bravado.

many people that are insecure can actually put up a front of confidence and could even seem conceited when deep down they aren't

my stepfather has Sun and Mercury in Leo.
maybe he had a narcissistic personality disorder too. who knows...he often acted like he was king.....but it came down to it, he was a very bitter, insecure man who had problems trusting people. He had grown up in 1929 as a mixed black man, and was in the Air Force. As a man, he had to cover up his weaknesses...especially in those days. He grew up without knowing his father, and that could affect his masculinity. I know that not knowing my father affected mine.

He was born on August 4th like Barack Obama, and so he has Sun conjunct North Neptune Node in Leo, and so he's a very sensitive person. That fit the anima of my mother's Sun in 12th trine Neptune. Even though it's not obvious on the surface. He was a photographer in the Air Force, and it was hobby of his. He was Neptunian in that way. He didn't drink nor use drugs, and so that was good.

Did anything move over those close conjunctions in early childhood? I'm thinking transits, progressions.

Something that crushed the normal emotional flow and resulted in odd attitudes and behavourial patterns that life has only instilled.

Not a fan of labels too. They just take astrological placements, put a name to it, write a few books, and its in the system

quote:

The narcissist is described as turning inward for gratification rather than depending on others, and as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, and prestige.[2] Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to self-centeredness. It is also colloquially referred to as "the god complex".

Preoccupied with the self is the picture I got from the name. Seems like a negative Mars aspect to 1st ruler. God complex is more Jupiter.

Negative aspects from 1st ruler to Mars and Jupiter is my idea to put forward.

You got a full chart to look at?

Here is his chart.....
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2460/3638869526_bffc72e281.jpg?v=0

He believes that his way is the only right way and that everybody else is wrong. He shows a lack of empathy and is not connected to the feelings etc of others around him. Our daughter is special needs and he strongly refuses to see it that way. He will refuse to get my daughter any help and I get the blame because she is special needs.

NPD Like to blame others, have an overinflated sense of themselves and have very high self importance......

In his chart I think it's the Leo....it could be Sat in the 10 conj Venus....But I'd still put my money on the Leo part....

Cynn

I don't go for labels myself and may be contradicting myself here with this disorder but I wanted to take a look at it. (I'm a typical Gem riser)

Think of it as a description rather than a label. NPD describes his personality. Leo describes his personality. It does seem like you are trying to understand him for the sake of your child. It can't be easy.

I'm with you on the 12th house Leo ensemble if it helps.

That Pisces Moon square Saturn is something to consider. That's a very close orbed aspect. Only 14 minutes of arc. that's the closest aspect in the chart, and so it's his greatest challenge in his life.

I have Pisces Moon square Saturn within 2 degree myself.

it looks like he could have had problems in his upbringing connected to his mother with Moon as the mother. His Moon opposes Ceres 1'33 orb,and Saturn squares it. Therefore, a t-square,and the emphasis on restricted, limited nurturing that he had in the past that affect how he nurtures and cares about others. It affects relationships/others with the Moon being in the 7th as well as nurturing, women which would make it difficult to raise children. Saturn is his 5th house, and so it rules children. A Virgo Ascendant like me, it seems. Virgo Ascendant can come across very critical to others, but it can be very self critical too...can be a perfectionist, not wanting to make mistakes but not wanting others to make mistakes...want perfection in others....especially the Pisces descendant can idealize the others, can seek perfection in others in a big picture way but it can like an illusion.

He is a ultrasensitive, emotional, empathic person with the Moon in Pisces, but with square to Saturn, he keeps it in check too much, there is a blockage

that aspect also indicates the possibility of feelings of insecurity that can also lead to emotional coldness.

The man is very complexed....it seems have to more with the Leo

he was born on the 29th day like me too
that's a master number

people born on master number birthdays tend to have great potential but great challenges
there is a ultrasensitivity too
also there is the possibility of a tough upbringing.

what kind of special needs does your daughter have? I know that special education needs tend to run in families.

I couldn't help noticing that he has a retrograde Mercury in 12th house which can indicate possible problems with mental processing in one way or another. There could be secrets involved with that with the 12th house being secrets. Mercury is his chart ruler, and with it being retrograde in the 12th house, there is deeply hidden aspect about him that make him hard to pin down. The man is very complexed, and so I am just not sure about the narcisstic personality disorder. There is a lot going on beneath the surface.

the ruler of his 3rd house,Venus is in Gemini and squares Pluto which also indicates possibility of problems with mental processing in one way or another as well as early education. There could be power issues involved. 3rd house is early education. It's actually a t-square of Venus,Jupiter, and Pluto...obviously it's a sign of problems with love, relationships that involve judgment and power. Venus,Jupiter,Pluto t-square could indicate intensified grandiose way of relating that could cause problems.

his Ascendant in Virgo is square Neptune with only 56 minutes of arc,and that can indicate an ultrasensitive person that is confusing as well as confused in some ways and very hard to pin down. He's probably not that organized either. Neptune closely square his Virgo Ascendant will modify the organized, detailed traits of the Virgo Ascendant..so he could be the opposite. The man could also be spacy and can seem to disconnect from others. The problem is that he's absorbing too much in his environment, and he might have a tendency to be overloaded to the point of shutting down. this would seem the case with his Moon in Pisces square Saturn. The retrograde Neptune in 4th also indicates the possibility of a dysfunctional domestic environment/upbringing and hypersensitivity in connection to it. There is similar theme with the Moon in Pisces. Moon in Pisces and Neptune in 4th have affinity with each other. His Neptune parallels the IC too,and so adds to the Neptune in 4th/Moon in Pisces theme.

His Sun trine/contraparallel Neptune, and so he has a Sun-Neptune bilevel. That has affinity with Sun in Pisces, and so there is high sensitivity, imagination, and idealism in how he expresses himself and can be connected to the father. It could also indicate that he could be confusing, hard to pin down....especially with the Sun contraparallel Neptune which is like Sun oppose Neptune. The Sun contraparallel Neptune seems more like an enhancer of his Sun trine Neptune.

I am going to look more into his chart.
like kuiper belt objects. I looked at your chart, and you had strong kuiper belt energy yourself. It's possible that you attracted a man with strong kuiper belt energy too. I remember that you have Sun aspecting Kuiper belt objects. I believe it was Makemake.

Blue....I've never seen a Leo influence sooo strong as this.

Glaucus....as always you have amazing insights and look forward to reading what you have to say. I'm also think the Venus-Pluto-Jupiter connection there....the moon-saturn description makes sense.

Just Mia....YUCK is right.more like run to the hills and find a good spot so they can't find you.

Coffee - Possibly a grand cross....if the orbs for the moon were put at 10 off of each side....in some charts I've seen an orb given to the Sun and Moon at 15 degrees. I don't usually go with wide orbs....sometimes I don't go wit an orb at all....if it's exact than there is an aspect.

what kind of special needs does your daughter have? I know that special education needs tend to run in families.

My daughter has Global Developmental Delay. She is behind in fine and gross motor skills, speech and has a lot of behavioral/emotional problems. She is 7 and functioning at a 4 or 5 year old level.

This is a thread on her.....right now her transits are heavy and really coming out...

"My daughter has Global Developmental Delay. She is behind in fine and gross motor skills, speech and has a lot of behavioral/emotional problems. She is 7 and functioning at a 4 or 5 year old level."

What about on an intellectual level? what's her inteligence like?

I had all those problems that you listed as a child. My fine and gross motor skill problems were part of Dyspraxia. My speech problems were both language-related (Dyslexia) and coordination-related (Dyspraxia) as for behaviorial/emotional problems, it was from being ultrasensitive (neurodivergents tend to be ultrasensitive and get seen as having sensory integration issues. I overreacted too much to anything, crying, being angry,scared,etc..just too sensitive, emotional for my own good.
So altogether,I was very similar to somebody with autism, but I didn't have problems understanding emotional/social cues. I was misplaced with the mentally retarded in first grade. Therefore I know what it's like to known as "special", and so I have a special caring for special education need types.
I was held back in 2nd grade because my mom thought I was to immature to advance, and the special education teacher agreed that I was behind socially. I was above average intelligence, and I could have skipped a grade.

I don't think that they made the right decision. The thing is that neurodivergent children will tend to be viewed as being immature compared to neurotypical children because of their ultrasensitive natures. Just like neurodivergent adults will tend to viewed as immature comparede to neurotypical adults. the whole late bloomers. Neurodivergent children become neurodivergent adults, but many get problems corrected and they are able to compensate and can be seen as normal but a bit odd. Some might be viewed as immature and other labels ,having problems with making/keeping relationships, friendships. Of course, many also have psychological problems including depression, anxiety. They could be viewed as having personality disorders. I am an excellent example of all that.

I would not be functioning if it wasn't for auditory therapy, speech therapy, phonics, motor skills therapy, 3 years of special education, and great special education teachers.

I can't stress enough the importance of early intervention.

my t-square seems to reflect all that
Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd as well as Saturn contraparallel Mercury-Venus-Neptune parallel in declinations. There is also Mercury conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint and Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint.

btw...the things that I have run in families. My mother told me that my father was just like me, and my mom has similar issues but milder. She's always been an ultrasensitive person, and tends to overreact very easily.

I also take cod liver oil or fish oil to tone down my hypersensitive nature with its Omega 3's,EPA and DHA.

I read that they have good results for Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,ADHD,Autistic Spectrum which are all known as neurodevelopmental disorders that have symptoms that overlap and significant comorbidity.

A week ago, I talked to a couple that has autistic child, and the mother said that her father has problems with fine motor skills that fits with some things with Dyspraxia. He's a mute. He can't talk. His speech regressed in early childhood.

any ways...I am wondering about the Global Developmental Delay. If she's at least average intelligence, then I don't think that she's necessarily global developmental delayed. She might fit under the neurodivergence stuff.

IQ tests don't work for neurodivergents either. they tend to be language based tests, and many neurodivergents are visual, picture thinkers. Children with auditory processing problems could have problems misunderstanding what the tester says. Children with motor skill problems will definitely have problems with parts of an IQ test that requires the use of motor skills. Therefore if a child at least average intelligence has significant problems with both language and coordination, then they will will have significant problems on that test and be mistakened for having mental retardation.
It happens a lot to neurodivergents.

also many people that test for these things don't even seem to know what they are doing.
Even as an adult, I had learning disability assessment test. It cost me 1,000 dollars. I wasn't satisfied with it except for the diagnosis of inattentive type ADHD. I ended up going to Dr. Harold N. Levinson, and I turned to be abnormal on almost all tests, and I was diagnosed as having a cerebellar vestibular dysfunction which. I took the test results to the Veteran Affairs neurologists, and they did testing and had me do neuropsychological testing. They found significant neurological problems. The neuropsychologist knew what to test for,and my immediate memory problems were noticed. They ended up confirming my Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.

I had to be my own advocate and do things for myself after my psychiatric misdiagnoses of schizoaffective bipolar disorder in 1999,2002. I didn't realize that I was misdiagnosed until 2003. That's when I learned about neurodivergent conditions, and I owe a lot from reading Dr. Levinson's books.

if your daughter is a person of at least average intelligence, it's likely that she could have inherited her problems from somebody in the family. It could even be her father. I just can't help noticing his Mercury not only in the 12th house but retrograde too, and even his 3rd house ruler,Venus is in Gemini and in a t-square. Even his Ascendant is in the Mercury-ruled sign,Virgo in close square to Neptune. There are some strong themes there in regards to possible mental processing issues.
Mercury/Gemini/3rd relate to both communications and dexterity.

I wonder how much he told you about his life including especially his childhood.

any ways here this site, DANDA

it talks about neurodivergence http://www.danda.org.uk/pages/about-danda.php

here is a site on Dyspraxia which aka Developmental Coordination Disorder...Global Dyspraxia effects all areas except for intelligence. I definitely fit the criteria of Global Dyspraxia in childhood, but much milder now.
Dyspraxia USA was founded by Warren Fried who has Dyspraxia himself.
http://www.dyspraxiausa.org/index.php/Early-Symptoms.html

here is also Dr. Levinson's site
in his book, he talked about how neurodivergents in cases of being pseudo-retarded. that is a neurodivergence that is so severe that it gets mistaken for mental retardation. That was definitely my case.
He calls neurodivergence "The Dyslexic Syndrome" because he recognized that Dyslexia had significant comorbidity with other neurodivergent conditions and that their symptoms overlapped. He also made a point that their problems were mistakened for psychological problems. He even made points that neurodivergent speech needs to be carefully examined so it doesn't get mistakened for psychotic speech. That's the mistake that psychiatrists did with me in 1999,2002.
http://www.dyslexiaonline.com/information/syndrome.html

here is Ronald D. Davis' site. http://www.dyslexia.com/library/symptoms.htm

if you want, I could check out your daughter's chart

That is quite informative to read. I read the first link and saw that my daughter fit with most of what it said.

Sure, look at her chart.

Hmmmmmmm thinking back to myself I was a late talker but then I had a father who was quite abusive. With educational and learning stuff I can't remember though I find now that I'm an excellent self learner and find a conventional style setting of learning to be too theory based and not so practical or realistic.

The Doc has said he strongly suspects ADHD and I still don't agree.....my daughter is a typical Gemini child, interested in everything and can multitask.

I believe that ADHD is just a label for somebody that is novelty-seeking.

The DRD4 7R gene is a novelty seeking gene is connected to half of ADHD cases. It has connections with migration.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2002/01/020109074512.htm http://www.futurepundit.com/archives/005263.html http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/06/080609195604.htm

Thom Hartmann believes that ADHD well suits a person to live in a hunting-gathering world, but that it puts them at a disadvantage in a farming or industrial world. He believes that ADHDers and Hunters are one and the same. He believes that ADHD traits are hunter-gatherer traits. He believe that the "normal" people who are good with routine, order, obedience, conventional are the farmer types.

He calls DRD4 7R the "Edison-gene" because Thomas Edison had these traits, and he is thought to have ADHD. He's also thought to have had Dyslexia too. He wrote a book called "The Edison Gene: The ADHD Hunter Child"

The comorbidity with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia is high with ADHD too. People with Dyslexia and/or Dyspraxia will more likely be diagnosed as having ADHD than a person without those neurodivergent conditions. The symptoms tend of overlap in problems with short term memory, organization, rote memorization, time, sequences, and linear concepts. They will have strengths in nonlinear, rightbrained, outside the box thinking. Auditory processing problems are often mistaken for attention deficits. Many children (especially boys) with learning problems will act out,and so they will get labeled ADHD.

Omega 3 fatty acid deficiencies are found to be connected to all 3 neurodivergent conditions.

The author of DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION (A book on ADHD), psychiatrist Dr. Ned Hallowell (who has both Dyslexia and ADHD) acknowledges that ADHD has its gifts too. He even mentioned in the book that ADHDers could have something like a 6th sense. they are intuitive.

he seems to view it as a disorder with the need for medications like Ritalin, but he acknowledges its gifts...so contradicting views about ADHD
http://www.drhallowell.com/resources/articles/positive_aspects.html

as you know, mainstream schools suck any way. They are only made for the leftbrained, linear thinker types with so much focus on grades and lecture auditory sequential teaching.
so the rightbrained, nonlinear thinker types are S.O.L. and get labeled as have some type of disorder or their intelligence is underestimated. It's especially complexed with the twice exceptional.

Blame William Farrish for that. He invented the grading system for schools with the lecture auditory sequential teaching methods as the main way of teaching go with. Therefore no more teachers adapting to the children's learning style, and so leading to the children needing to adapt to the teacher's style of teaching.

This was back in 1790's, and so Thomas Edison was definitely affected by Farrish's contributions to education.

Montessori,Waldorf Schools ,especially with their focus on multisensory teaching methods would be better schools for the rightbrained, nonlinear thinkers.

one of the problems with ADHD label is that there are so many causes for ADHD symptoms including especially medical problems like hypoglycemia and fetal alcohol syndrome. Therefore, the DRD4 7R gene ADHD types are unfairly grouped with all the others that have ADHD symptoms.

Funny I put my daughter into the Montessori class and it doesn't seem to be working for her any more....She is half a year behind in her studies and 40% of her school work is done...

We live in a diverse world where kids are supposed to behave properly in a cookie cutter society and if they don't fit then they judge and label them then dope them up till they are more acceptable and functioning.....gee brainwashing at such a young age..my thoughts any how

We share the same thoughts.

I understand.

I am looking at your daughter's chart.

I wonder how the teachers are at the Montessori School. I guess some might not understand special education needs children. They could be more for people that are lower on the neurodivergence scale like somebody with ADHD. I think that ADHD is at the low end of the neurodivergent spectrum and Autism is at the highest end. I believe that global dyspraxia is near the highest end of the spectrum.

what about special education especially a special individualized education plan? They don't have those in Montessori School?

Special education classes tend to have negative stigma attached to them. I know how regular school children can be very cruel to special education children. I know from firsthand experience. I would never put my kids in special education. I'd teach them myself through things like the Davis methods. I will look for the early warning signs, and then take action. The younger they are and the earlier the intervention, the easier it can be corrected.

also has she benefited from things like fish oil/cod liver oil....or flaxseed oil in regards to Omega 3s?

neurodivergents tend to have problems converting ALA into DHA,and so they are better off taking fish/cod liver oil.
Flaxseed oil didn't have any effect on me,and so I know that I cannot convert ALA into DHA.

Here is stuff that I saw in your daughter's chart:

Mars, the planet that rules the muscular system is quincunx (the health aspect) Neptune, the planet associated with weakness, confusion in the 6th house (health, daily routine) that could indicate problems with motor coordination.

Neptune in 6th can be a placement for somebody that finds organization, routine, linear things to be a problem. It can also indicate hard to pin down health problems that get misdiagnosed. Hypersensitivity to medications is possible

Mercury in Gemini square Uranus with 3'10 orb indicates being very high strung, high degree of nervous energy. It indicates an innovative mind that learns through unconventional methods ....the rebellious communicator

Mercury contraparallel Chiron with 10 minutes of arc indicates the maverick mind that could have problems with mental processing in some form or another...especially in communications

Chiron contraparallel Midheaven with 11 minutes of arc indicates the maverick individual as well as the wounded healer soul.

Mars oppose Chiron can indicate maverick way of acting. needing to heal wounds connected to anger, aggression.

Uranus oppose/contraparallel Ascendant indicates unconventional relating with others....and this can definitely make it hard to get along with others in school.....potential to be rebellious

Venus quincunx Uranus also indicates unconventional relating, especially love,relationships...unconventional value system....potential to be rebellious when it comes to social norms

Moon sesquiquadrate Uranus with 1'09 orb indicates unpredictable emotional nature, emotional need for independence, the capability to have intuitive insights but may seem to be crazy to conventional types.

Neptune square Midheaven with 3'28 orb is the highly sensitive individual that can experience confusion in life. confusing, hard to pin down. There can be the possibility of confusion in what to do for a career, and there can be confusion in the domestic environment. Can be considered strange,nonconformist...with the hard aspect involving Neptune.

Moon conjunct/parallel Mars indicates a being emotionally charged, passionate emotions, and the tendency to overreact emotionally, impulsive

Sun-Saturn-North Lunar Node conjunctions indicates that the ego, self expression, associations, connections could have restrictions,limitations....discipline,structure can be essential in her life.......the late bloomer is possible as in delays

Pluto contraparallel Ascendant with 13 minutes of arc indicates intensity, transformation involving relating with others,environment.......nonconformist too

Sun sextile Eris with 1'14 orb indicates the divergent self expression involved in diversity, equality matters

she is extremely sensitive, emotional with her Moon,Mars,Venus, and Jupiter in Cancer.

my mother was born on June 13th,and she has Sun in Gemini with a strong Cancer emphasis like your daughter.

They set up an IPP - they call it - for my daughter. They have a set of goals they want my daughter to accomplish and go from there. They have specialists that come in and work with her - like an occupational therapist and a speech therapist. they are thinking that my daughter needs something more structured for her and with Montessori they don't find there is much. The school was trying to put her in a program where there are less students and more structure. It looks like she'll be put into a regular class before they find her a spot where she needs to be.

I have bought many kinds of cod liver oil and she has refused to take it. Once it goes in her mouth she spits it out. I have tried to camouflage the pill/oil and she still can taste it. I bought some fruit flavored cod liver oil and she would have no part of it. I tried cooking more fish to put in her diet and she is not a fish fan. I bought some soy milk with Omega 3 in it and that sort of worked but she wasn't crazy about it.

I have flax seed here but not sure what to make with it that she will eat. She is an extremely fussy eater and it baffles me cause I have a whole whack of knowledge having a cooking diploma.

She is highly sensitive and have bought a book on the highly sensitive child to used some of their idea's for a guide line - however she is extremely friendly and highly outgoing but with no boundaries as she wants to hug every single person she sees.

Cynn, that list read like a personalized discription of my sister! She has never been diagnosed with any disorder but has leo sun 29 deg conjunct saturn and a leo ascendant. Her moon is also in scorpio square saturn 0 deg. I've always pinned these NPD traits on leo prominent people and suspected it was worse when there was a saturn affliction, but now I'm convinced. Remember saturn afflictins for some reason can make a person tyranical. Combine this with the arraogant, selfish, Dictator Leo and see what you get.

Alpha Leo, the Royal Star Regulus is located between 29 degrees Leo and 0 Virgo

So Sun in 29 degrees Leo is conjunct Regulus

so Sun conjunct Regulus could have a potential for a huge ego, thinking that they are like royalty
