No, you misunderstand me.. I mean that when you are in a soul mate relationship and you don't have some sun/moon emotional connection thats positive it can make it impossible to stay together through a lack of inherent understanding.

I absolutely don't think that no sun/moon on their own or just the opposition = no soul mate!

Yes, Lara, I understand what you mean, and it`s a logical thought, but it isn`t always backed up in reality.

Just think of:

Paul Newman-JOanne Woodward:
No Sun-Moon-aspect (even though they had the sign interchange)

Paul Mc Cartney - Linda Eastman:
no Sun-Moon-aspect

JOhnny Cash - June Carter:
no Sun-Moon-aspect

on the other hand:

Richard Burton - Liz taylor:
a DW of Sun-Moon, and even though it was intensely passionate it didnīt really work smoothly

Henry miller - Anais Nin:
had the conjunction, yet never married

Lara,

for me, yes. The patterns seem to be more obvious, at least for me, with angles and their rulers.

AS a matter of fact I checked some charts yesterday, and they all had a conjunciton / opposition between ASC / DSC and MC / IC or their rulers.

I can still remember how the first times I looked at the synastry between me and my bf, it only seemed so-so (but at that moment I also got his birth time wrong lol) - so lack of aspects between personal planets. But now that I look at it better, it does have some hidden goodies around lol. We have opposed ACs, but I just noticed that my 5th house ruler is conjunct his IC/DC ruler, that is also right on my IC.

This idea about house rulers is quite interesting, and definitely makes sense, since the planet that is a certain house's ruler is connected to that house's matter, and how it is aspected to the other chart in synastry is somehow relevant.

Lara

yes I can be a bit stubborn if I really believe in something. And it feels good to know that others can relate to the house ruler thingy, too.
I think Comica explained it perfectly.
