The symbol for Virgo is the Virgin, and it helps to keep in mind when dealing with this highly paradoxical sign. No matter how many times they’ve been around the block, Virgos always seem as fussy and particular as a first-timer. Don’t be fooled — this is only one half of this dual sign. Make no mistake: Virgo is dual, just like Gemini or Pisces, but Virgo often hides its duality, even from itself.

As an earth sign, they are less comfortable with the changeability of their mutable natures and often seek to suppress it. my Sun is in tropical Scorpio, but my Sun is is in the actual constellation of Virgo. It's not in Libra like it is in the Sidereal Zodiac. I can relate to a lot of Virgo stuff.

I have Ascendant in tropical Virgo, but that's like a mask and how people see me

but I am convinced that my constellation Virgo Sun is my cosmic self

I think the constellation placements are like the cosmic self
and the tropical placements are like the earth self

My Sun is also parallel Khambalia, a star in Virgo too.

Alpha Virgo, Spica, is my heliacal rising star...that's the star that rules the day that I was born.

mblover- I exhibit that dual nature, but I have learned to make it work so that I'm able to look myself in the mirror. This I've done by being very discriminating as far as partners are concerned, but when I'm with a partner finally, the freak comes out to play. So, although I haven't had many sexual partners, I've had a lot of sex.

Speaking of other things... They always say that Virgos hate a mess. No, I disagree. I don't mind a messy place, but I can't stand dirt. So, I'm always surrounded by some mess or another due to papers that missed the trash can, a wrapper from some energy bar, water, juice, my computer, my bag, my guitar, some clothes, pens, camera, a blanket, antihistamines, a remote or three, books... I am always surrounded by my nicknacks, but they are all sterilized and dust free. So, on first glance, It's dirty due to the mess, but on a micro level, It's clean.

the kitchen is always clean but when I'm in it, its a mess because I just work like that. I clean when I'm done working. So, while cooking they'll be dishes all over, flour spattered somewhere, therefore I'm messy. Then, when I clean it, I leave it spotless.

also, when I'm home, I'll just walk around in any item of clothing I can find, but publicly, I'm always dressed appropriately.

MyVirgoMask, Raymond, Agreed that all people/signs have dualistic and paradoxical sides. But, for the Virgo Sign, there is something hidden in that they don't have two visible faces in the symbols like other mutables have. Thus, I am curious as to whether people recognize this dual nature in Virgos that they come across.

A lot of answers such as 'Why is that Virgo so sexual and does not emit any quality of Virgin?', 'Why is that Virgo so messy?', 'How come that Virgo woman with 5 planet stellium in the 10th house has never mastered anything in life?' etc. could be understood by understanding the dual nature of Virgos rather than going with easy answers such as 'Ultimately its a free will of the Virgo '

of course, other planets in placements and aspects could factor into it too.

I knew a promiscuous gal who was born August 29th,and so she had Sun in Virgo...Sun in Leo constellation

she also had Moon in Taurus which indicate being sensual....don't know her time of birth

I first knew her when she and I were both special education students. She also told me that she was sexually abused by her stepfather too.

However, I am talking about e.g. A woman who chose prostitution for lets say 5 years of her life, but she exited prostitution and did not go back to it. It does not have to be a Virgo Sun Sign woman. It could be any woman. But, could an answer be found based on criteria such as some transit around the 6th house, may be around 12th house, may be something in her Virgo sign house.. or may be some transiting aspects that influenced this short term prostitution.

Again, I am curious whether an answer could be found in cases such as these because most of the time I only find 'ultimately its a free will' whereas I am wondering whether it may not have been a free will and it could be indeed something in her Virgo traits that triggered this side in her.

I notice an all-or-nothing pattern with them.
My mother for instance, can go for years without drinking, then drink everyday in the Legion with her husband. Literally, just switch up like that with her habits.
It baffles the heck out of me.

Starr, I agree.. embracing both helps tremendously..I know so many Virgos come across as wanting to be Good Old Virgin but always look for mental justification to go on the Other side.

I think Virgo and Scorpio were together once and splitted right..? Does that explain it..

I agree MVM, I have this thing for Lunar Scorpio people haha.
