What do you think about the asteroid Midas (1981)?Good for making money...? Good for turning things into gold, so to speak...? ;-) I never thought about it before I saw the title of Vertiver's thread. I have Midas at 10 deg Leo conjunct ASC (and sextile Venus). IP: Logged |

Would Midas mean having the riches at the expense of something else? Like with King Midas touching everything and turning it to gold, losing loved ones in the process.IP: Logged |

I don't know... but Midas is located at 29 degrees Gemini in my 7th house and opposite Saturn and Uranus, that doesn't seem like the greatest aspects for Midas. Probably some Jupiter action or it being in the 2nd house would be most beneficial or that is what I'm guessing?IP: Logged |

I value my closest relationships more than anything. But... if I set my mind on it, then I'm good at financial stuff. I would go with a combination of PeaceAngels view and the ability to turn useless things to gold.So Asteroid MIDAS governs the ability to turn that considered useless to that which is truly valuable. IP: Logged |

Mine is conjunct my IC in Virgo and trine my Cap Jupiter.The Sabian for it says (Virgo 3.55): PHASE 154 (VIRGO 4°): BLACK AND WHITE CHILDREN PLAY TOGETHER HAPPILY. KEYNOTE: The overcoming of socio-cultural prejudices. I have only a vague idea of what it means, but interesting nonetheless especially because my DC is in Sagittarius. ------------------

There was a thread about money asteroids (fortuna, banks, gold, midas) a while back. I tried them out on several celebrities and most of them had money asteroids on an angle.I think Midas specifically describes how and where and if what we touch turns to gold. I don`t like my Midas.It`s retograde on 3 Leo in my 8th house, conjunct Hypnos on 6 Leo, trine IC, Aura and Alma on 4 - 6 Aries, trine Amor and Mars on 2-5 Sagittarius and squaring Uranus on 1 Scorpio. Hmmm... Mine (money asteroids) don't say much either as they don't hit any angles. Bummer!  Hmmm... This thread is kinda depressing. I have Midas in Cancer in the 6th trine MC. Shocking considering my current (jobless and career-less) situation.Interestingly, I have Banks conjunct Jupiter in Leo in the 7th. Jupiter is trine POF in the 3rd. I’ve also wondered about a POF-Jupiter-Neptune fire grand trine. Hmm...a rich man, lol? Gold is in the 4th house but there’s nothing but squares to it.
