Critical degrees this month, and 2 Eclipses. To my mind this one is somewhat wistful ( a fav word of late) 29 Cancer as Cardinal and Critical is proactive and a new Moon wistfully looking over the shoulder... at what was. The SN NN critical in self / others. The third eclipse early next month might be the most 'take stock' moment to those open to a ever changing dynamic. I feel this one- at least for my chart- with an EDT ASC in the same degree as my moon, Saturn is in tidy opposition. So, nurturing, and a grindstone focus on direction. Emotions are controlled by good boy Saturn. He will not fetch or play Frisbee right now. The third volume in a close series (Aug lunar eclipse) will help me make better choices.
    I like this one.
Very dynamic.

So Sorry Dolphin

The last time an eclipse conjunct one of my natal planets 3 years ago (my sun in the 9th), I ended up leaving my job and the city I lived in to move back to my home town. It was weird, no event set it in motion but my own gut feeling. The feeling wouldn't leave me any comfort till I gave in to it. It was a major change. I gave up a lot but I now know it was my path. Career wise it has felt restricting, but everything else just seemed to fall into place like it was destined.

This one is exactly conjuncting my chart ruler but I don't feel like anything major is around the corner. Maybe it needs to conjunct sun or ascendant to make a really big impact. Or, maybe there isn't anything significant that I am supposed to let go of or move toward at the moment?

Well... 'makes sense... My Sun is at 20deg Virgo. Joy! I've already got man problems.

quote:
Because of the trines, anyone with planets in the later degrees of any sign should do fairly well, though people with planets or sensitive points around 17-21 of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces may experience disruptions in their relationships, values, or possessions.

Unmoved, I'm right at 21degrees Virgo. Oh joy.
And I'm going to be on a date tomorrow night during the eclipse. So... I just hope it doesn't really suck.

MVM! Can you reschedule?

Don't tell him why lest he thinks you're strange, or tell him.

"Hi, I'm sorry but we have to postpone our date. With the Solar Eclipse affecting my Sun at 21 degrees, I'd rather meditate than endure having to criticize you as this eclipse should make me quite sensitive and less tolerant. So, how's next week? Hmmm...?"

And the guy responds, "huh? What? Eclipse?"

But it should be at least potent, for better or for worse.

I really don't have anything going on in regards to eclipse
it will be in my 11th house, trining my 7th house ruler Neptune in 1'48 Sagittarius in 3rd.

Transiting retro Pluto in Capricorn is in my 4th house squaring my Pluto in Libra in 1st under half a degree orb now, and so I am already going through intense stuff that seems similar to the eclipse in Cancer.

I have other intense transneptunian transits

Transiting retro Ixion in 13'59 Sagittarius in my 4th square my Ascendant/Descendant axis in 13'27 Ascendant/Pisces

Transiting Sedna in 21'51 in my 9th opposing my Venus in 21'47 Scorpio

Transiting retro Eris in 22'01 Aries quincunx my Venus
triggering a solar arc picture
opposing Solar Arc Ascendant in 21'28 Libra, conjunct Moon/Midheaven midpoint in 22'12 Aries and Eris/Sedna midpoint in 22'10 Aries

Transiting Huya in 9'30 Scorpio in my 3rd squaring my Lunar Nodes in 10'30 Aquarius/Leo in 5th and 11th houses

Transiting Haumea in 14'32 Libra conjunct my unaspected Uranus in 15'17 Libra in 2nd

Transiting Varuna in 20'29 Cancer in my 11th
trining my Venus in 3rd

I've been going through changes during this time too.

I am just finding too much intensity going on putting me in dark place psychologically. It has forced me to seek out old friends and relatives and re-connect with them, revealing who/what I am.

I also want to point out that transiting Orcus is in 29'45 Leo right now

so if any of you have personal planets, angles in last degree of fixed signs, and you're feeling a bunch of intensity.....well..you're feeling the energy of Orcus which is a plutino named after the God of death, and so it also has to do with transformation as well as dealing with keeping/breaking oaths, promises.

Raymond

------------------
“It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

The eclipse is PERFECT for a first date. You'll either come together, thrillingly, for the next 7 years, or eclipse him out of your life. Yay eclipse energy--this way nothing mediocre will drag out.

Actually it's a 2nd date... he's made it that far, which is impressive
...and he now seems to be feeling quite... ambitious

No way can I reschedule! There are jazz tickets involved which I didn't purchase, plus I really want to hear some good music and get wined and dined, dammit! I demand courtship and yummy food and really good wine... it's been too long for me

Though I must say, I'm still a bit nervous in general. This should (at the very least) be an interesting night.
The eclipse is widely conjunct my IC at 5 or 6 degrees. I hope tomorrow night's not too chaotic and weird... fingers crossed

EDIT: Yeah, Lucia.... it feels like it might end up being a make it or break it kind of night. For some reason, the stakes have felt kind of high with this guy for some reason. And I have no idea why - I'm not even sure if I like him enough.

All of this eclipse talk -

I feel like I am in a "Very Special" episode of a TV sitcom! A two parter...

Part one starts with one character bringing up the eclipse and another skeptical character saying that it is all "hogwash"...then all of these weird things start to happen...

...one character gets married on the second date (wink, wink MVM)...(She is planning on leaving the series anyway so this is the perfect out)

...another character finds the dream job that she is not entirely qualified for...(perfect for adding a wacky co-worker replacement character next season)

...another buys a scratch off lottery ticket and wins a cruise for two but has no one to go with (until part 2!)...(funny guy, possibly a single dad - another potential replacement character, adds a new couple/child dimension to the show)

...the skeptic sees all the crazy around her but no difference in herself until the last few minutes of part two when she realizes that she went the whole day without saying anything negative…hmm, does she believe?

Sorry people, like I said, I have way too much time on my hands and I watch too much TV!

ETA: I think I ripped off a "Golden Girls" plot...

Very dynamic.

I'm feeling stronger, with this eclipse. It squares my Uranus/ascendant, and possibly my Ceres/Chiron/Sun mixture (within 4/5 degrees). So, we'll see... maybe I'm feeling too optimistic. I just woke up yesterday morning, feeling better. (I also want to respond to koiflower, in another eclipse thread.)

*edit: The thumbs-up was for Node's "I like this one," and the fact that my optimism has returned... that's all.

excuse me if i missed something. but the connection to those degrees of virgo = because that is where saturn is at the time of the eclipse? even though the eclipse is not directly aspecting it? or is it?

Just a reminder to everyone about the eclipse energy. Even though you might not have seen evidence of it yet...IT'S COMING.....

"we can assume we will see developments related to this Eclipse on August 25-26 when Venus transits 30 Cancer, and certainly major developments will be set into motion in mid-October, when Mars crosses 30 Cancer."

Thanks Diana. I have had a lot of drama with the eclipses this time. My cousin getting killed and today I had to take my dog to the Vet. He is now on anti-biotics for an infection.

I remember the post about your dog. I'm glad you took him to the vet and that he will be ok.

Which house did the eclipse hit for you? It sounds almost as bad as my experience. Mine was on the IC and two of my relatives are really sick.

Thank you for your prayers. I will pray you have the peace in your hard time.

((((Hugs)))

The angles being hit are really potent in eclipses. My DC was hit before and that was also bad, just not right away. I knew this would be bad, but that doesn't make it any easier.
