My father was a Zulu chief. His family is in the public eye. He died when I was young and my mom separated herself from his family.

edit: My Moon is in Cancer and it's conjunct my MC in Placidus.

...similar in equal but it is in the 9th House with the 10th house being in Leo (sun as ruler).

My Moon sits in the center of my tenth house yet my family isn't famous. I have Capricorn tenth house.

Dad was a great at his job and a very appreciated colleague but I wouldn't say famous.

maybe I'm just an exception to prove the rule

I kind of noticed that too. My friend has his moon conjuct MC, and half his family is in showbiz in LA.

I've also met an internationally famous producer....he has Cancer moon.

Well my Dad had both Cancer 10th house and cancer moon yet no fame his way. Shady background as well...

I don't know. I think Moon in 10th makes you strive for fame. Weather you get there is a question for many other aspects

hate to be a ballon burster, but the only people i know with moon in 10th would NOT bear this out...one of them is also a cancer moon. all she wants is marriage and a quiet life, and no standout reps in her family either...

Marrying someone famous might be Jupiter in the 7th with ruler in the 10th...
or just ruler of 7th in 10th is good connection to other planets. 5th house might show "dating" partners, but 7th house for marriage to one. A strong 7th house is usually there.

- I have 7H in Aries, and Mars in my 10H/Leo...does that count?

Moon has to do with popularity, so in the 10th house I think it could mean someone famous or a famous family. I don't really know people with these placements (maybe because I don't know famous people, ha ha), but it seems logical.

i have mars (7hr) sun(12hr) and mercury (1st/10hr) all in cancer in 10th with my gem moon cnj MC. Moon is my 11hr.
I have a very big family and we own hotels and turkeys largest cake shop.
I can say i know thousands of people and i have friends everywhere. Moon is the ruler of my 11th but no famous relos.

My daughter has Moon conjunct the MC. I have been told by numerous psychics that she will become famous, or achieve some sort of fame or public notoriety through her work. She's currently a graduate student going for her Ph.D., with a focus in history, foreign policy and the middle east. So it could be that she would either stay in the academic field and write a book, or go to work for the State Department. I guess anything is possible....

I have a Capricorn Moon in the 10th. My sister doesn't. Our parents aren't famous. However, Mom descends from royalty and Dad has a high professional status by being a portuguese embassador.

What I think this placemente means in my chart is that my job (what i give to society) involves caring about people or nurturing them in some way. I'm both a psychotherapist and a child caretaker in a house for kids that have to be removed from their families by social assistants.

Hi! My Saturn is in Libra 6th house. It makes an exact conjunction with Jupiter and the Vertex. Those closely square the midheaven/IC axis.

As for my Moon, it makes a T-Square to my ASC/DSC and Pluto (which conjuncts the DSC). Then there's a little sextile to Mars.

to me venus in 10th is more likely to indicate fame and/or fortune. the moon would imply a DESIRE for wealth or fame or both as a security issue and to provide the wherewithal for nurturing/being nurtured...

Cancer sits on the cusp of my 11th house...but less than a degree of it is in the 11th (like 18 minutes). I've got Jupiter (in Cancer) conjunct my MC (Gemini).

I do have two family members who have been very influential in American politics within the last century. However, one of them is still living, and may or may not become involved in politics again (I'm not sure whether he or she has made up his or her mind yet), so I feel that it would be best for me to not name him or her directly.

katatonic - I don't desire wealth. Wealth is sort of easy to attain if that's all a person wants. I desire to make a difference in the world through contributing my talents by giving of self to the world/community, i.e. to be of service.

edit: with that said, wealth or fame = power, which can be used as a tool to serve the world, so yeah...

I don't know how the other Moon in 10th feel though, so you could be right.

unmoved, good distinction! i probably should have said the 10th house moon desires influence in the world, at least their own world! and cancer, of course, wants to make a difference, offer nurturing or emotional fulfillment in some way...but also to be protected and secure in that position! which is not to say they won't take risks, most cancers i know are quite the go-getters in their own way..

You're right about the transference issue But i've managed it well so far and feel it can be used as an advantage in terms of generating more emotional investment of the patient.

Not only our moons are one degree apart, our ascendants are 3-4º apart and naturally, our vertex conjunct as well. I saw what i expected in your chart. Your Mars in your 12th house like mine, your mercury is strongly aspected and your moon is given a lot of empathy by neptune. The Mars house shows the areas of life where our yang energies are better channeled and psychology is usually a 12th house affair (depends how you live it). I think you're on the right track and can become a very succesful psychologist if you so wish
