I have Mars on the Midheaven, an aspect that is said to indicate athletic ability, or at least a highly competitive sort of person. And trine Pluto to boot, which should add intensity. Not true in my case though. My Mars/Midheaven is also conjunct Mercury, and I am quick and graceful, with good eye-hand coordination. I have good muscle memory too and can certainly catch a ball. I'm not at all competitive though, at least not physically. I'm extremely lazy and not at all inclined towards sports or any sort of physically demanding activity really. I just don't have the stamina or the will. Mars is in Cancer, so in its fall, which might explain my general lack of vitality and drive...

^Quite of few athletes have Mars in Cancer oddly enough though. If you ever choose to do your damndest you would have great potential. I'm wondering if the North and South nodes have a hand in inclinations. I for one am not too competitive despite also having a exact Sun parallel Mars. Especially in sports I'm not fond of playing like basketball. IP: Logged |

I was not physically active enough in high school and gave up too early on Tennis and Gymnastics.Otherwise I think I would have been a formidable athlete. As I wanted to "win" and would put a lot of work in that before I began high school. After the car accident happened however and on the cusp of entering High school, life suddenly became confusing and my "priorities" shifted. I gave my attention to creativity i.e Drama,Writing etc. Come to think of it, this "change" actually coincided with Neptune crossing my 10th house(Mc). And I focused all my energies there(even thought I would pursue Theatre as a career). I think what I lacked was support from parents. I gave up too easily and too soon when I entered High School. I didn't care anymore for that more "physical" stuff. To develop endurance towards any goal in life or at-least to have the drive to succeed or overcome, you have to have an active Saturn and Mars . Sometimes people are pushed by circumstance/a parent etc. But eventually one either learns to become their own motivator or surround themselves with people who are competitive. You cant be the type to rest on your laurels and be "comfortable" etc. It matters little if you are aiming to build a fashion empire or a sport legacy. You need a "fire under your butt" sort of grit. With that being said I think Aries/Scorpio/Cap strong presence in chart is needed. Either through their respective rulers Mars/Pluto/Saturn or house 1,8 or 10th etc.Perhaps two of the mentioned planets or even all of them interacting with Sun/Moon? I haven't checked the charts of Athletes to give tangible examples of what I mean yet. But will come back. All in all however I see the same determination present in a star rugby player as I would see in a media powerhouse mogul i.e inner drive and wanting to succeed. Sure Mars is "energy", Saturn is "staying power" whilst Pluto is "obsession". And perhaps Mars is more for athletes(since their careers are more age sensitive). But Pluto/Saturn is definitely for tycoons and Empire builders.

In my case I can say my aspect might be perfect , had I not been set up with the Mars opposition Uranus. As a teen I took up track and had a mess when my leg dragged over the hurdle. I have a huge dent in my left shin still. But otherwise Aries is home to my Mars, in the 5th house. (When using tropical full house), I was good in dance and even in swimming. A Libra MC might have benefited that. My guess is an Aries or Sag Mars in the 5th or 11th house (grp sports, leagues and such) might be a good setup for someone with athletic abilities. I think a Pluto energy positively touching the Mars might make someone very powerful at their sport. IP: Logged |

Do you have any 6th House planets? What’s going on with the ruler of your 6th House?

I have always been good at every sports I've played, partially coz I tend to learn at a very high speed. I usually play against the toughest players around becoz they are the ones who will improve me the most, after dueling/going one-on-one with them for a while, I can beat the rest rather easily. Perhaps the desire to conquer them also motivates me, coz I have usually gotten belittled by them in the early days of playing sports, and I'm like "Yaa ***** laugh now!! I'll beat ur azz in a month anyway" and beat them I have bwahaha!!!!!hahah . I also have high stamina, and I play at a very high intensity, the benefit of playing with high intensity is that even if your opponents are good, if they aren't used to playing at that intensity, you can simply steamroll their ***** coz they simply get overwhelmed by it. I don't mind using dirty tactics to win, neither do I mind exploiting that one weakness in their locker constantly until it makes their confidence crumble and they are down on their knees, after that beating them is an easy job. Another thing I believe which is extremely imp. in Sports is handling the pressure to get urself over the line, in my experience there is this huge pressure build-up right when you are near a win, even some extremely good athletes suck at their respective sports totally and play like noobs(been playing too much MMORPG in the last few days) coz they can't handle this feeling of being near the achievement of something they have strived for, you've done it all, its right there what you want, but then you crumble, coz you can't handle this overwhelming feeling of being so near to getting that which you have always dreamt of.Mars in Aqua in 4H Square Jupiter and Pluto in Scorpio in 1H Trine Moon in Gemini in 8H IP: Logged |

I have Mars in Cancer in the 1st House and I LOVE physical activity! The gym might as well be my second home. Can’t wait to join my uni’s basketball and track team next year!IP: Logged |
