What sign ISN'T obsessive about love

Let's debunk it right now from what I've seen..signs which are supposedly 'not' obsessive in love:
Gemini=obsessive
Aqua=obsessive
Cappy=obsessive

And more.
I think actually that the more a sign is not typically viewed as obsessive, the more obsessive they will come off and completely shock everyone.
Among a few: Aquas, Aries, Gemini. And yeah, Taurus (but that one doesn't surprise me, considering how possessive Taurus anything can be lol)

Enchantress is right too - the fixed signs are jealous and obsessive (or, can be)... Scorpio and Taurus for sure. Leo and Aqua also. They just get all sucky about it. But believe you me, I have seen the latter two signs in obsessive mode... and it's bordering stalkerish. They go beyond obsess and will go after what they want, because they believe it is theirs. It's a fixed sign thing imo.

And yeah, I agree that the obsession of a fixed sign is not the same as that of a mutable one. We mutables obsess out of silent insecurity that we try to hide, while the fixed ones just own their obsessions (and for this, I admire it ... my own fixed Venus and Mars concur lol)

Aries sun/venus/mercury with Taurus rising here... Oh man oh man I can get soooo obsessive when I've got a great chase on my hands... Insanely obsessive, no thoughts about anything else! But as soon as they give in, no more heartstrings being pulled, I just hear crickets. I get obsessed with the IDEA that I'm chasing the perfect person... My Taurus rising gives me staying power, the poor conquest always gives in...

I love this post though, I'm head over heels for a Scorpio right now. And the awesome thing is, he loves my chasing, he's not freaked out, he's playing the game, for almost a year now, most fun I've had in ages!!

Yes, I agree, the Scorps I know are highly amused when they GET stalked, it is like a vacation for them.

But really, it does all depend on the person.
I know a Virgo girl that stalks a Scorp guy, for like 10 years now. Every time he starts something new with someone, she stalks the GIRL and harasses her until she goes away.
She can't stalk him anymore because he's pressed charges on her, so she goes after the women.
Now my Virgo mom would NEVER do that, she would think that is totally undignified and shows a lack of class. She would say that if you need to stalk someone, they are not worth it.
Mom doesn't carry a torch either, when its over, its over! Man she cuts them off without a backward glance. I've always admired her for that. She's Leo rising/Scorp Moon.

lol, you guessed right, CPN.

Ugg, I don't even go there in discussions about Aries men. That was my first husband, The Insane Person.
All I can say about him is that his 4th wife just divorced him, and he is trolling myspace looking for another one.
On the other hand, my brother-in-law is an Aries (he has Cap rising) and he has never been married and hardly ever dates. He's only had 2 relationships in his life, he's 37. He's a great guy, but he's just not really interested.

It's not necessarily a sign thing per se
but more like an aspect.
What big planets are obsessive?
Pluto for one, is Venus in aspect?

I see students with perfectly good questions looking for the answers in the wrong place. Just because you have Venus/Scorpio does not mean you are jealous, possessive, or obsessive. This sign has more potential to be that way then say a Venus/Gemini but if there are no supporting aspects chances are you will take from the house position and aspects Venus is receiving.

Can anyone see Venus/Moon/Scorpio with those traits?
No because charm and helpfulness is what you get with the Moon and Venus.

haha, Cpn; you never told me that about Bob.

Now see, I would have thought that would put you off fire, it sure did me!

Give me some nice solid earth to lean on or some watery water to search the depths of anyday.

huh? How do you get intimacy from the house of
Sex,(as in procreation) Death and Regeneration? The 8th house covers "shared resources" but that is not intimacy.

For intimacy look to the Venus houses(2&7)

I'm so glad you're ok Valus
(and I like the haircut)

Glad you cleared that up Lala.
I have nothing in the 2nd house but

in the 7th, I have nept in sco
and
merc in sco

I'm convinced this is the root of my attraction to Scorpios. Even though they say a womans Mars is who she is attracted to.
Yeah so that Neptune has made me romanticize one too many relationship. It really gives me some grief, I literally cannot see what is right in front of my face. I put my loves on a pedastal where they can do no wrong.
And I seem to have an endless well of forgiveness, which of course, attracts people who are constanting doing things that need forgiving.

I also think of the 8th house as the house of intimacy. It's the house of "we." It's where you merge with your partner.

The 7th I see as the house of "you and me." It's an airy house with a clear division between individuals. In the best scenario, it brings your perfect complement. (In the worst, an enemy.) The thrill of the 7th house is the magnetic attraction to "the other". It's a chase, a balancing act between two people. The thrill of the watery 8th is interpenetration to the point of merged identities.

Even inheritances and taxes make sense for that - the material (money) still exists, but the owner can't keep it to himself. The barrier between what's mine and yours is shattered. Same with death; it shatters the barrier between the individual self and the source. And with procreation, there's the mingling of our material bodies.

That sense of oneness with a partner is why I think someone with a strong 8th house influence (or Sco, Pluto) runs the risk of ignoring the other's rights as an individual. Rights like to privacy and an independent, separate life.

It probably goes without saying, but many Scorpio influenced people can balance that feeling of merging along with respect for their love interest's privacy and freedom. I certainly don't think a Scorp influence means someone must obsess by stalking.

I agree that Venus is important. It plays a huge role in how we behave with others, so its sign and aspects will be revealing.

I've had 4 bad experiences with stalkerish Libras. (Talk about karma. I have Libra on the 12th and the Karma asteroid at 0 Libra.) I know that 2 of them had Venus in Sco, and there's a good chance the others did too but I'm not certain of their birth years. All had their Sun near Pluto also.

I do get a bit compulsive in love, but I have a gemini venus. Maybe the 8th house moon to blame?

enchantress what's funny is the guy u know is an Aqua Sun/Gem moon.. the guy I know is Gem Sun/Aqua moon ..

I'd say a fixed sign influence would have to be considered...
Once they make up their mind about something/someone .. it's hard to get them to let go !

I've been stalked a few times, but the best was a guy, during my high-school days, who used to follow me to and fro school. There came a point where we just never spoke. When I got home, he'd park himself outside my house near the gate and sit there for hours.

I could have laid charges, but I admired him, so I didn't. The tenacity from that guy!! Yikes.

He's dead now.

I have Merc con. Pluto in my 8th (scorp) and even when I'm just interested in someone its all I can think about and I have to figure out everything about that person. I'm like that with a lot of 8th house matters but intimate issues seem to be the most pressing

I see the 8th house as the house of intimacy, too. Intimacy is very transformational, all about connecting with someone at (or even beyond) the deepest core of your being. The kind of sex we 8th house people like is intimate.

There are other kinds of intimacy ruled by lots of the other houses (although I don't see the 2nd as one of them...I see it as the very Taurean side of Venus, all about making a pretty hearth), but the 8th is the house of sexual intimacy. I know there are lots of (ironically and paradoxically) non-intimate kinds of sex, but 8th housers are about intimate sexuality. The 7th house is about partnership--ideally, in a Libran way, the balanced coming-together of equals. 8th house is about people tearing apart each other's barriers and penetrating each other at the most intense, exquisite, terrible, life-changing level.

Some of us who are very 8th house-y are even uncomfortable with Venus energy, because we are so drawn to the darker, deeper, more Plutonic, underworld, death-like edge (because the deepest kind of personal transformation is a metaphorical death) of things.

I've been obsessive lately because of Pluto squaring my natal Venus and transiting my 7th. Before that, not really. I'm an Aquarius.

Look at transits, progressions and aspects, don't focus so much on Sun signs.
