This won't be the easiest month, so you will have to find ways to give yourself regular time for rest and relaxation. A number of dramatic planetary aspects will come up in a very small period at mid-month, so you would be wise to have absolutely nothing of importance on your calendar - that way you will be free to attend to anything, should something come up.

Throughout this month, you need to remind yourself that you are holding a few very powerful cards because this is your birthday month. When the Sun comes back to the place where it was when you were born, that's fortunate because the Sun will be standing at your side to help you. September is your personal "summer" - the time of the year when the Sun is as close as it can be to you, so you can feel its glowing warmth from September 1 to 22.

Let's get into the month and let's see where the most challenging aspects lie. They won't be too apparent at the beginning of the month. In fact, as you begin September, things will look fairly normal and talks or developments will be easy to navigate.

You start the month with a full moon in your relationship sector, September 4. That full moon will fall in your opposite sign of Pisces and will bring a relationship to fullness. How things go will depend on how things have been going all along. This full moon will simply be bent on making the state of your relationship more obvious, but also allow you to progress in a more productive way.

If things have been really strong and positive between you, you may now crystallize this relationship in an official way. In your personal life, you may get engaged or hear some big, exciting news from your significant other or spouse. In a business sense, you may be ready to send papers to formalize a relationship. In regard to business, you can talk things over and negotiate but not actually sign papers just yet. Here's why.

Mercury, your ruler, will be retrograde from September 7 to 29, and that's going to make September an adverse time to sign a contract or any other important document. September's first week is too close to the retrograde to move ahead. If you do, problems are likely to come up later and will need to be renegotiated - or you may simply want out. You can talk to your intended partner about the contract and discuss the details, but put off the actual signing to early October. October 6 might be a good day for you to plan to sign.

This full moon may be troublesome if you have not been happy for some time, or if your partner has withheld information from you. This full moon has a friendly side to it, however, as Mars will be quite supportive. You may be relieved to address the problem and move closer to your partner, or you may be relieved to finally break up and move on. Watch what happens from September 1 to 8, but especially from September 4 to 7.

Because Mars is in compatible Cancer, touring your friendship sector, you will be able to rely on your friends for support and guidance. One friend in particular will be at your side, either very happy for you if you have good news to report, such as an engagement, or to help give you advice if this full moon proves to be more emotionally draining. I do think things will work in your favor, so let's think good thoughts.

If you were born September 7 plus or minus four days, you will feel the effects of this full moon the most.

The month's problems will begin to arise by time you get to September 14, and the turbulent times will extend as far as September 23. What is due is a wave of tough aspects and everyone, of every sign, will feel them. I will admit that Virgo and Pisces will feel them more than most simply because the planets will be in Virgo and Pisces. Let me show you what I see.

First, on Tuesday, September 15, Saturn will oppose Uranus. Saturn, now in Virgo, rules responsibilities, respect for tradition, and upholding the tried and true. Uranus is now in Pisces and rules creativity, chaos, rebellion, and all events that are unanticipated. Uranus is the slower moving planet, so Uranus will dominate this confrontation with Saturn. Innovation will be necessary from everyone.

This aspect comes by approximately every 40 years and the last time was 1965-1968.

These two planets will schedule several confrontations before going their separate ways. Saturn and Uranus first opposed one another on November 4, 2008, then this year on February 5, and will now on September 15. Next year they will meet again on April 26 and on July 26, 2010. After that, Saturn and Uranus will not oppose one another again until 2056.

In April and July 2010, the Sun will not be in Virgo or Pisces, nor will any of the other planets be in those signs, so don't concern yourself over the opposition in 2010. September is your month to conquer.

Because Saturn will be in your house of self and identity, and Uranus will oppose Saturn, you may be in the process of updating your self-image by feedback you get from others.

Just two days later, on September 17 - the day that gets my vote for hardest day of the year - Saturn will conjoin the Sun, and Uranus will oppose the Sun in Virgo. A partner, collaborator, or even a competitor or detractor will continue to have your attention through shock, surprise, or confrontation.

Saturn is cold, icy, and steady - not a good pairing with the fiery Sun. Uranus is electrical and has an unpredictable flow - on and off, like alternating current, so it's completely unpredictable. On this day - September 17 - keep an open schedule and don't be overbooked with events. Events will be both depressing and jarring, and you will have to stay on your toes to deal with what comes up.

The Sun rules your 12th house of places of confinement, such as hospitals or nursing homes. (Prisons are also included in this house too, but would probably have less application to you!) On September 17, you may know someone who suddenly needs to visit the hospital, for example, or who has been confined but who will now need your sudden assistance nevertheless. It appears the person is male, for the Sun is involved, and the Sun points to a man.

This would be hard enough, but the very next day, September 18, the new moon will appear in Virgo. Saturn and Uranus will confront that moon, too. If your birthday falls on or within five days of September 18, you will feel the effects of this new moon now and in the future, up to six months from now. It looks like you will need to analyze a situation or deal with some sort of unexpected circumstances. It will be obvious that fixing things will take time. That's OK, for you have patience to see things through.

The moon also has sway over your domestic condition, so you will need to keep an eye on your family and perhaps keep the family together or help an immediate family member. Or, your physical home may be affected and you may have to make a sudden decision about where to live, or need to fix your house or apartment in some way. Property that you also own, or that is given to you, may alternatively be the focus.

Pluto will be in very hard angle to Mercury at the time of the new moon, adding stress. Pluto's involvement suggests someone may try to paint you into a corner to make you agree to a course of action you don't like.

On top of all this, Mars will reach 15 degrees Cancer on September 18 and oppose the very degree of the July 7 eclipse. This in turn will activate your most personal love relationship if dating, bring up the topic of pregnancy, or focus your attention on a child you have now. If none of these come up, one friend may need your help. Think back to July 7 - what came up then? News will be related to anything you heard then, or bring up something completely new in your personal life.

Just a few days later, September 23, Mercury, the planet that rules your sign, will oppose Uranus, and again, your nerves will be on edge. Again, a love relationship will be the center of your attention, or a child, pregnancy, or creative project will need attention. On a financial front, do no speculation whatsoever - this is not a time to take chances with money.

Also, remember, don't sign any contracts, and don't state any plans yet. There is too much dust in the air to see clearly - you need to wait until things settle down in October. Remember, your ruler - the planet meant to take good care of you, Mercury - will be sleeping and not be much help until October.

This is lot to handle in a little over a week's time and this is why I want you to schedule rest periods. If you can afford a massage or other pampering treatment, it may be worth scheduling for mid-September. It'll be hard to think straight with so much going on, and you will need quiet time alone to do so. If you were born in August or early September, you won't feel the challenging aspects of September 15 to 23 too directly. It is those born later in the month, from September 14 to 22, who will notice more.

The sensational news is that Saturn will leave Virgo on October 20, bringing you instant relief. Saturn will be back for a brief 14-week stay from April 7 to July 21, 2010, but after that, you'll done with him, and he has been a big source of your tensions.

After Saturn leaves in July 2010, Saturn won't be back to Virgo until 2036. If you were born September 14 to 22, you are feeling the direct rays of Saturn now, and chances are, you are nodding and thinking, "You can say that again!" It is unlikely that things would get any tougher. You are in the thick of things now.

Saturn tends to give a feeling of isolation, so if you feel others around you don't have a clue about how hard it's been for you - if they dismiss your suffering or fail to even see it - I sympathize, dear Virgo.

This is how Saturn works, but there is method in his madness.

By temporarily taking away your usual sources of support you will learn new ways to develop and grow independently. Although Saturn's methods are extreme, he does get the results he is after - to make you stronger and more resourceful than you ever were before. Afterward you will feel as though you've become much more mature and seasoned. This is a month to drop any fantasies you have harbored and to see thing as they really are.

You are fortunate in that Saturn is leaving at the end of October. While it is true that late-born Virgos (September 18 to 22) will feel Saturn's direct rays for a few more weeks in 2010, if that is your birthday, you will have had five month's rest, and that will make a difference. That period won't feel as tough.

Actually, I feel strongly that you are doing the bulk of Saturn's work now, and that you will find the April through July months to be easier. Everyone gets nine months of Saturn's direct rays, so the earlier-born Virgos (those born in August and from September 1 to 17) have already put in their full nine months in Saturn's boot camp. We all get the same amount of time with Saturn. In that respect, he is fair.

Romantically, this month is anyone's guess. If your relationship is strong, you'll know it, but if it is not, with planetary pressure this strong, you will find all the weak links. Whether those weak links cause things to break down, or give you a chance to bond stronger together after getting everything out on the table, depends on your relationship. Clearly, you need support, and if your partner is more part of the problem than the solution, you will know that and probably realize it and leave.

Everyone always has something good going on in a chart, indicated by the position of Jupiter, the planet of gifts and luck. Jupiter is protecting your ability to find work if necessary (say, if you have been unemployed, or if you own your own business and want new clients). You seem to really enjoy what you do, so if the drama in your life gets to be too much to bear this month, throw yourself into your work for a little quiet relief. It's clear that at the office, others will appreciate your efforts.

All month, give yourself enough rest and nutrition. These are hard aspects, and a lot will be demanded of you. You won't want to lower your resistance to colds and flu. Get more rest too, dear Virgo. You are about to see a much more improved picture in months ahead, for truly, September appears to be a turning point.

Summary

Birthday month has arrived, but you may be feeling a bit anxious. All year, Saturn has challenged you to accept responsibilities and to work hard, for Saturn teaches us that nothing of value comes without hard work and through overcoming challenges. You've learned a great deal since Saturn first entered Virgo in September 2007, and now, as Saturn prepares to move into Libra on October 29, Saturn will conduct a review of all you've learned so far while it has toured Virgo.

If your birthday falls at the end of August, then last year - 2008 - was your hard year. If you were born in September, then 2009 was tougher. Those with birthdays that fall on or near September 15 to 21 are still in Saturn boot camp, but this will dwindle down after October is done. While Saturn will be back to Virgo from April 7 to July 21, 2010, to finish up its training of Virgos born September 18 to 22, that period will be relatively short (14 weeks), and once done, Virgo will be free of Saturn until 2036.

Partnerships of all kinds, romantic and professional, will test your patience, strength, and fortitude this month. Your first moment to decide what to do about a close tie will come at the full moon in Pisces, September 4.

The situation you will face will be easier and far less difficult than what was presented to you last year. (Remember how stressful life was near September 15, 2008? If you were born in mid-September, you really felt that tough full moon.) You are tougher now, and less likely to let others take advantage of you - be glad for that! Mars in Cancer this month shows that your friends will be very supportive of you - turn to them if you need them.

The questions that are presented to you first on September 15 and then again on September 17, 18, and 23 will reveal once and for all that you that you really can't continue on the same path as you have so far. You may be hit by a personal crisis at this time, so if you've been hoping something would change by itself, without your intervention, you will finally see the truth that it won't. The decisions you make at mid-month may be painful, but even so, you will benefit from what you decide, for from then on, you will be on a much better road.

You may feel that no one is on your side, or that few understand you. That's Saturn speaking, but it is temporary. Saturn is trying to help you become stronger, and Uranus is showing information that will help you to protect yourself. This month will demand that you see things very clearly and unemotionally. If this month were to have a slogan, it would be "Reality bites."

No matter what comes up near September 15 to 23, take a courageous stand. With the moon, Sun, Venus, and Mercury in Virgo, you are holding the winning cards.

If things have been good all along between you and a partner, this moment may bring an opportunity to come together in a new way.

By September 18, the new moon in Virgo, you will be asked to announce the plans you've mulled over and analyzed for some time. Yet the situation will be confusing, so you need to take your time. With Mercury retrograde, you will not be able to make any plans stick, so don't even try - announce plans in October.

Soon, others will be surprised at your new "take charge" attitude. Let the chips fall where they may - you no longer are beholden to anyone. You will be in quite a serious mood near this new moon September 18, as Saturn will be conjunct the Sun and moon at the time. You mean business and will be determined to succeed.

With Uranus opposed to this same new moon of September 18, you may tear away from a romantic relationship, or you may decide (or be forced) to make a change your career, or to move across country or make any other dramatic changes in the light of what you learn this month. This is the month you will need to stop keeping up appearances and simply let go of things that are not working anymore.

You may do this because you feel upset, hurt, or angered by what was done to you. Or, it may be that you have held on, hoping against hope that things would change. You seem to know it will soon be time to make a complete change. If so, peace exists on the other side of the bridge you will walk over, dear Virgo. You will make it safely to the other side.

You may see changes to your domestic condition this month, too. You may hear things about a family member, a housing situation, or a roommate. Change is in the air.

I promise - October will be a big improvement.

Dates to note:

A serious partnership opportunity or issue must be decided at the full moon September 4, plus or minus four days.

In business, you might make plans for a contractual agreement at the full moon September 4, but don't plan to sign until October. You can talk and negotiate, but sign next month.

Your roughest day may be September 17. Make no plans for that day. Sit back and see what happens so that you can respond. A certain partner, competitor, or detractor is due to be unpredictable and challenging.

The whole period from September 15 to 23 will be draining and difficult. I am so sorry to report this!

The new moon in Virgo, September 18, will be your chance to finally speak your mind. You will be getting ready to make changes and course corrections that are massive and sweeping in scope. Implement those in October. You may soon leave one debilitating condition or relationship forever. View this period as the start of a whole new chapter that you'll begin to write now.

Take care of your health this month, as much will be demanded of you and you may become quite drained.

Friends will be wonderfully supportive all month. Go to them for support.

Mercury, your ruler, will retrograde from September 7 to 30. At some point Mercury will back into Virgo, so view this month as one that will require you go back to a past event to settle things that have not been resolved for a long time. Clear the decks.

Checks that you expect may be delayed, especially in the first three weeks, so stay on top of all accounts receivable by sending follow-up invoices and making reminder calls. This is due partly to Mercury retrograde.

Romance? This will be a wild card month for love. Some may be engaged at the full moon September 4. If you are attached, this month your alliance will be tested, especially if your birthday falls between September 15 and 21. If single, don't make any impulsive moves.

Ugh, I've yet to have a good birthday.
The past 5 years have been complete hell or at the very least generally unpleasant.

Well, I have a date on Friday the 4th with the new guy I've been seeing for over a month, who I really, really like and have been getting more serious with.
Sooo, this isn't exactly a confidence boost of an article.

hey gals,

don't worry

remember that the whole natal chart has to be taken into account and not just the Sun

also there are two big transneptunians in Virgo right now

dwarf planet,Makemake is currently in 24'54 Virgo

dwarf planet candidate plutino,Orcus is currently in 0'44 Virgo

so people with personal planets, angles in Virgo around those degrees can be going through an intensified evolutionary time.

one lady in this forum has her Solar Return on September 17th, and she is going to have Sun conjunct Makemake in her next Solar Return. She had it last year year too. She has transiting Makemake conjunct her Sun exact right now.

MVM, Unmoved, late born Virgo people, I just wondered if you would be so kind to share the kind of themes that have manifested in your lives since Saturn started edging closer to your Sun. Susan Miller mentions isolation. Someone I miss and care about deeply is going through this transit very shortly as a late born Virgo. I'm a Capricorn.

Hi all,

Susan Miller is a bit doom and gloom for September isn't she?! The Saggie one isn't too postive either...

Thanks, Raymond

Neptuneinfirst, to be perfectly honest, I only have my sun in Virgo and nothing else in Virgo...so, I sometimes don't feel connected to the monthly scopes (esp Susan Miller's since they tend to be kinda...inaccurate for me.) for my sun sign, and often just read for my rising sign since the house activity is more accurate.

I think the transiting Uranus opposition and Saturn conjunct to the Sun are the main themes though...and so it's the push/pull effect between those two (as they oppose EACH OTHER... oh JOY LOL) which makes the energies difficult.
For me it's been LOTS of stuff...divorce, beginning my own business, travel, relocation, redefining creativity, love, and....well, everything, really.
All this in two years, but I'd been gearing up for it.
Right now I am aware that I am on the tail end of it... and I've made weird peace with Saturn for the most part. It's not let me get away with fooling myself, and Uranus has also been sure to keep me out of situations which can cause potential ruts. To not have fear. To take chances on things I usually would not take chances on.
Basically, these two planets have helped me redefine my life on my own terms, and to be able to sleep better at night with a clearer conscience. I no longer worry excessively before I sleep...I mean, I do worry, but it seems like the worry doesn't stick or something. It seems like there's always a way out of whatever I am worrying about, and a solution, a long-term one, to give me peace.

But it's also been hard to sit still and get things done with this Uranus/Saturn thing. The two energies are so different obviously. One wants you to sit down and work. The other wants you to go run around naked or something .... so, what to do?
Run around naked until you're exhausted, and then after you've taken your breath you sit down to work.

As for the isolation... yeah, I went through that like a year ago.... but it wasn't isolation per se, it was more like self-reflection. Isolation is being cut off from the world against your choice and being lonely, and I do not feel this is what happened at all. Rather, I just took time, a lot of time, to recharge my batteries. That was Saturn forcing me to relax in a way.

So I think the bottom line here with the Uranus and Saturn stuff on my Virgo sun has been to regain control of my life (Saturn) by not trying to *control* anything (Uranus). It's been a process of regaining faith and rebuilding self-esteem from the ground-up, no faking confidence, just the real nitty gritty of how to think better of oneself as a human being and actually like oneself.

neptuneinfirst~

I got sick. The first time Saturn hit my Sun, I got sudden pneumonia. My anemia was so bad that my blood was HB was 4. The my skin started having troubles with acne due to PCOS. This meant fertility problems. Then I slept less because I was stressed. Then... I had a few vital organs enlarged/inflamed including my pancreas.

I went to hospital so much in the last few months, since Aug 2008, I'm no longer afraid of needles.

Funnily, career was looking very good during these times, but I was just stuck in the hospital bed to do anything about it, so I lost a lot of opportunities.

So, as Saturn leaves my Sun for good, I have quit smoking (gained weight), quit drinking (lost weight), and quit socializing much because I am recovering from illnesses and also because I can't really take part in social gatherings much, unless it's a small do I host, since generally people are of a lifestyle I don't subscribe to anymore. Saturn has left me healthier but with lots of work to do now.

Mentally, I am also just more introspective that I find people generally tiresome. I also have many things to take care of as far as work is concerned, so time alone to work is something I have needed, to catch up with all the distractions.

Thank you for taking time to explain ladies.

MVM, wow, it sounds like change has manifested itself in all areas of your life. If it’s not too personal to ask, I seem to recall in another thread that your ex husband was a Capricorn, do you mind me asking if you still care for him? I only ask this as Linda Goodman mentioned in her Love Signs book that the 5-9 Sun sign combo is a very deep one. I have Pluto on my Cappy Venus right now and I have a sense that I will never feel the depth of love and share the closeness of the Virgo / Capricorn relationship with another. I know a lot of Capricorn / Virgo couples. Virgo rules my eighth house and I also have a Taurus Moon which means that any planet in the late degrees of Virgo (from around 17 degrees onwards) makes a grand trine in my chart. Which house is your Sun natally placed? I can see why the energies have been so conflicting, Saturn so different to Uranus and not harmonious in any way at all :-(

Unmoved, your Saturn transit sounds like a nasty experience, perhaps Saturn's way of letting you know as a Virgo (The Virgin, purity) that you’d been neglecting yourself a little? I am really glad things are improving for you now and that you are healing. Earthies have a lot more patience for these things and I am sure you are now a much stronger person for that introspection. As Virgo is the sign of purity, perhaps the cleansing out, so to speak, is necessary for the next step in your life. Though the lesson has been most unpleasant it prepares you in a positive way for the future. Is your Sun natally in the 4th or 6th house?

It is interesting that you both mention self relfection / introspection with the Saturn conjunction of the Sun. In my experience I have found that Virgos’ can be incredibly deep people who feel things very acutely (even though they wouldn’t always show it). They are the sign that has rocked my world and I feel I have a lot to learn from them still. Earth and Earth can be a beautiful combination :-)

Yes, next is Saturn conjunct Mercury, then Saturn Return, then he conjuncts Pluto before leaving my 12th to hit my Pluto/Mars ruled AC. I think I would have died during my Saturn Return had I not changed my ways.

My Sun is in the 11th House.
My AC is Scorpio.
My Venus is also in Virgo.

My 4th house ruler is Saturn and is in 12th.
My 6th House ruler is Neptune and is in 2nd.
My 11th House ruler is the Sun and is in 11th.

when saturn started passing my 12th,after letf my sun on 11th...i lost a lot of friends really.

i isolated myself too,i started reading a lot,and i felt that i was not really identified myself so much with those friends...they were finding their own Paths and i was finding mine.

saturn is now on my 12h AND it is tought really.i have my Merc there and it has making me really step out of my own fears,my traumas...i am starting to feel more strong.

but hey...saturn will then cj my asc next year!:P

Unmoved, I am a Capricorn Sun with a Taurus Moon, hence late Virgo planets make a grand trine in my chart, or as one site says 'You complete me'!

So you have Mercury in Libra too? I noticed a pattern in my life of those with significant impact on me, Sun and Venus in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Mars and Pluto in Libra. Mercury in Libra, the diplomats of the Zodiac :-) My Mecury is also in an air sign too, so that's harmonic.

Thank you Dee.

So far I have been surviving the Saturn on my Sun and Uranus opposition stuff like a good little soldier, with a lot of grace, and have been dealing with the energies a lot like MVM. I have chosen to use them as a powerful tool for change, creativity, reevaluation, etc. BUT...

The September 17 stuff really depressed me. That's my birthday. I was hoping for a good birthday. My birthdays always suck. Apparently this one is going to be the birthday from hell. Again.

I was planning to go out. Apparently I'm not supposed to make concrete plans because they will come to ruination. Soooooo...fun times.

Can't wait till this crap is over.

This is why I don't bother reading Sunsign horoscopes. they are too general ......
I always consider the rest of the natal chart. I don't bother looking at my sunsign horoscope stuff...not even for my birthday

StarrofVenusgirl,

don't let this horoscope thing ruin your birthday. You go out and have fun and live it up!

same to everybody else

I am looking forward to transiting Sun conjunct my Ascendant in 13'26 Virgo and it going into my 1st house.

The New Moon conjunct Saturn in Virgo will be conjuncting my Juno in 26'26 Virgo in 1st, but I don't know what that's going to do. I am not in a relationship right now, and I doubt that I will be in one during that time.

I am curious what's going to happen when transiting Makemake conjuncts my Juno within 1 degree again.

Raymond

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

Yikes,
I read Susan Miller's horoscopes. she says that Pisces will have a difficult month. I have Asc in Pisces( 24 deg 35) and Dsc in Virgo( 24 deg 25). Will have Uranus bang on my Asc and Saturn on Dsc on the 17th in their now famous opposition mode. Am wondering what sort of terrible day it may be?

Virgo Rising here. haven't read the article yet, but I things haven't been easy for me and I know what Susan is going to say.

The first time I read AstroZone, was after the event and Susan was spot on. This was four years ago, and I haven't missed her monthly since.

Life is a rollercoaster, and just cause I'm in a down cycle doesn't mean I should stop reading her now.
