I was thinking about what tv shows my kids like and how does that reflect their signs.

Tv is weird these days, so I haven't come up with anything concrete yet. HOWEVER

back in the day, when things were different, you could easily see where your preference would lie.

EX. When I was really, really, little, my favorite show was black and white reruns of Mr. Ed. I mean, c'mon, a talking HORSE, whats not to love for a SAG?

I think my Libra Moon kicked in when I loved 'I Dream of Jeanie.' She had a kickin bottle, it was soooo pretty in there.
And she got to wear the best outfit ever!

A little bit older, I was transfixed by 'Laverne & Shirley.' Totally a Sag show, two girls livin alone, working in a brewery, with crazy Lenny and Squiggy popping in unannounced.... "Hello.."
In fact, I don't think I ever grew out of that one, my life is still kinda like that!

How bout YOU?

My favorite show was Kids Incorporated, a show where kids sang and performed musical numbers. It also had lessons/morals etc.

Libra Sun and Cap Moon and AC here with Virgo Merc and Aqua Mars/ Libra Venus.

My other favorite show was a cartoon called Dungeons and Dragons. Magic and fantasy and general weirdness. I was in love with the Virgo like young magician. Cartoon character, remember I said.

I have Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Sag which probably accounts for a lot of people's love of all things magical and fantasy.

So, I think that "incorporates" the beauty/art/music of Libra and the responsibility/morals of Cap/Virgo with some unusual choices... as a Mars in Aqua with Venus conjunct Uranus would choose.
Neither of those shows lasted very long. I loved them.

I also dug after school specials and didn't understand why people made fun of them. Little Virgo-minded and Cappy-hearted me thought they were thumbs up!

Also...
I just remembered I was in love with the main boy character on Kids Incorporated too.
Being a Libra is tough.

My little baby 11th Aries Sun/8th Cap Moon self was OBSESSED With Pee Wee's Playhouse. I thought Pee Wee was the most "fun" person I'd ever "met," and so, so badly wanted to be his friend. I even wrote him letters, although I still can't (at 27) be sure my mother ever actually mailed them, haha. My affinity for Mr. Ruebens and his comedy has lasted, too, even through scandal. Pee Wee's Big Adventure is still my favorite movie. Did I grow up to be the non-fictional manifestation of Dottie *because* I loved this movie, or was that WHY I loved the movie in the first place? The world may never know.

Another big favorite of mine was Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Fred Rogers was a super Pisces, and I've noticed as I'm getting older that anytime my poor, isolated, egg-shell delicate Venus in Pisces in directly stimulated it pretty much produces immediately affection. I also wrote him letters, only Mr. Roger's actually wrote me back once! I still have the letter in a scrapbook back in my childhood home, he told me to never stop using my imagination. Thanks, Fred!

Also on the VIP tip- for my birthday a few years ago, my mother bought me a "The World According to Fred Rogers" book that was full of quotes. Every time I read it, I get teared up! EVERY TIME.

Others:
Punky Brewster
Small Wonder
Underdog
Rainbow Brite
and JEM ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMKT0gGEBJQ ), of course, although I really, really liked the Misfits. I had all the Misfits dolls and none of actual Jem or her friends. Hello, nutshell.

Although I restrict his tv watching a bit (I stay home with him, so there really isn't any reason he should be watching tv instead of playing with Mommy), Moonie (Sun conjunct Venus in 1st Cancer, Libra Moon in the 4th) already has some favorite tv shows. His most favorite is on PBS- it's called Big, Big World. It mostly deals with environmental issues and teaches about animals, and the main character is a hippie sloth named Snook. I wonder sometimes if he doesn't remind Moonie of his father (who is also a hippie sloth), because he definitely reminds ME of him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7c4XIsJd2A

His other favorite is on Noggin-- Ni Hao Kai Lan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKiR4tuodG8

The entire basis of the show is learning to read and appropriately respond to your friends' emotions so that everyone will be happy-- pretty precious. Everytime Moonie sees Kai Lan he giggles and puts his flirty eyes on. First crush, mayhaps?

I'm still trying to figure out where these shows fit in - sign wise. It's always been the "different" shows for me like

Hilarious House Of Frightenstein
(I thought Billy Van was cool and he got me hooked on astrology or was one of my earliest astrological influences)

Bump In The Night

Count Duckula - The Vegetarian Vampire duck

Kids in the Hall

Reboot
- For some reason I enjoyed the character of Hexadecimal. She would go from one feeling to another in a blink of an eye...

Two and a Half Men
- Even though he is a Hollywood bad boy I don't know why I find Charlie Sheen alluring..

I quite enjoy cooking shows so My Cancer moon would factor into that.

I enjoy watching music shows - so would that be my Venus in Pisces? Or my mercury in taurus?

Sometimes I like watching comedy shows....and I'm trained to perform stand up (Where that is in my chart, I don't know)

I looooove Big Big World and pushed that one big time for my little one. She loved it too, but I think I (Libra with lots of 9th house/Sag-ish placements) loved it more. She is Cap with Aries moon and enjoys a little action/adventure and prefers that to the more mellow Big Big World. Big Big World is enjoyable to her due to her deep love of animals and all things science but her Aries moon prefers more exciting things. She really enjoys Animal Rescue, for example.

My Pisces daughter (cancerAsc) loved Pee Wee too.

And Barney, ugg.

But her all time favorite movie was E.T.

She would cry so hard every time she watched it, I finally told her that I was gonna throw the tape out.
I said, "You know E.T. comes back to life, why are you crying?"

Her: "Because it is sad while he's dead, and I LIKE crying!!!" OMG!

I didn't get much access to the TV in early childhood and was pretty hyper anyway, so I didn't watch much TV. But I recall really being into Jem back then to the point that as an adult on YT, one of the things I did was find out how the series ended. I think the intro here is enough to show why a Libran sun & Venus/Sag moon & Mars (and Leo ascendant) would be into this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20BZID081Vk

At 11 I started watching toons with a friend of mine, and one I really liked was Tiny Toons Adventures. I have a video of the Summer Vacation around here somewhere. And just watching the intro on YT, I was able to recall all the words to it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-uad6zBG1o

Similarly, but didn't remain a show I liked into adulthood, was Eek! The Cat. I recall we especially found his never ending optimism no matter how much bad stuff kept happening to him funny.

We also got into The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and The Critic, too (which weren't actually aimed at kids). The Simpsons remain a fave of mine.

Also, for Saturday morning, we liked live action (as opposed to cartoon) Eerie, Indiana (sorta an X-Files for kids). We didn't care for Goosebumps, though.

I remember we both wouldn't watch The Tick because we thought ticks were totally gross.

Awww I use to love to watch Punky Brewster, it would come on every Sunday night when I was a kid. I will admit now I even had Punky Brewster underwear And also the show Silverspoons with Rick Schroder...I think my Cancer Moon/Jupiter was really taken with the idea of being loved and wanted, and finding people that accepted you for what you are(finding a home and family), I guess thats why I liked watching them so much

i was all about 'The Jetsons' and 'Small Wonder' (the little girl who played a robot) - seems to be all about Aquarius!

later on I watched 'Quantum Leap' religiously - seems Aquarius/Pisces mix with the time travel plus becoming a new character for every episode, ack, I even had a crush on his sidekick, Al!

Yep, I kinda figured The Aquas would like the space shows, and time travel shows.

I figured it would be the Cancer influenced people who liked the Leave it to Beaver type shows.

My bestie girl is an Aries, and she has all the seasons of 'Little House on The Prairie' uggg. I couldn't figure it out, then it hit me, Aries=pioneers!! Duh!

Oh man Aerial - I loved me some Pee-Wee! I actually have Danny Elfman's Pee-Wee's Big Adventure score on my iPod! Yeah, I'm that crazy person on the train, smiling to myself!

I was a couch potato, so not much has changed. Aqua rising, Uranus influence, has to do with this, maybe? Anyway, here is a list of favorites:

21 Jump Street
227
A Different World (post-Denise)
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
Arsenio Hall Show
Bustin' Loose
California Dreams
Cosby Show (pre-Olivia)
Dance Party U.S.A.
Designing Women
Diff'rent Strokes
Eight is Enough
Empty Nest
The Facts of Life
Falcon Crest
Family Ties
Fifteen
Gimme a Break
Golden Girls
Growing Pains
The Guys Next Door
Hang Time
Head of the Class
The Hogan Family
Hunter
In Living Color
Just the Ten of Us
Kids in the Hall
Mr. Belvedere
The Muppet Show
My Two Dads
Night Court
Nurses
Out of Control
Out of This World
Parker Lewis Can't Lose
Patty Duke Show
Pee Wee's Playhouse
Pinwheel
Puttin' on the Hits
Rags to Riches
Remote Control
SNL
Showtime at the Apollo (the Sinbad years)
Small Wonder
Solid Gold
Tales from the Crypt
Turkey TV (does anyone remember that?)
Twin Peaks
Welcome Freshmen
Wise Guy
You Can't Do That On Television

ETA: I was always a strange kid - I remember I got in so much trouble when I got caught watching an Andrew Dice Clay comedy special (I was laughing too loud in the middle of the night), I think I was 9 or 10. I used to watch "USA Up All Night" movies which was just a bunch of teen "grindhouse"-style sex comedies. Explains a lot I think.

LOL, I didn't have cable either growing up, it wasn't invented yet!

Did anyone ever hear of a show called "Zoom?" I'm not sure if it was everywhere or not, because I grew up in N.J. and when I moved here nobody had ever heard of it.
It was an ensamble type show where they did skits and science experiments and just silly stuff. I loved that show.
I would literally run home from school to watch it.
One day I came home, and turned it on, only the whole cast had changed!
At the end someone had explained that the cast would be changing every so often.
That was it for me!!
I was so mad I cried the rest of the day and refused to eat my dinner. I never watched Zoom again.

Umm, I don't know what in astro would make me act that way, guess I'm just a weirdo.
Is there a weirdo asteroid?

Seriously, to this day I hate when they have a cast change and your supposed to pretend that it is the same person.
"A seamless transition of Darren's" on Bewitched, my butt. I knew that wasn't Darren!

My sons favorite show a few years ago was Magnum P.I. (I might have influenced that a wee bit) anyway, it fits him perfect.

My son is a double scorp. Magnum was a chick magnet. My son has a Cap Moon, he likes nice things. Magnum was basically broke, but he got to live in a nice house and drive a Ferrari, even though it wasn't his, it appeared to others that it was.
I think that totally fits.
My sons favorite movie is 'The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly' I'll have to think about that one. That is a justice movie.

Yes, Magnum was very Sag-ish, but I think (notice, think) that Tom Selleck is a Capricorn.

I'm so happy people remember Zoom. I was starting to wonder if I imagined it!

I was crazy in love with "Scooby Doo." He was on my birthday cakes, from 2 years to 5 years old. (I know this because my mom always photographed our cakes. Two or three pictures of the family, just as many of the cake.) I remember getting up every morning and plopping myself in front of the tv to watch it, first thing. I still love the theme song, but I don't get stoned nearly often enough to appreciate the show.

I'm a Sag Sun. I can see how the show would appeal to that sign, but I think my first house Sco Mercury was attracted to it too. I like riddles. Right as my "Scooby Doo" obsession was dying down, I got into the "Encyclopedia Brown" books.

"Mr. Rogers" and Sesame Street were also part of the daily routine, but I wasn't as into them.

When very young I also watched He-Man, She-Ra, Ru-Paul , GI Joe, Jem, Inspector Gadget, Little House on the Prairie, Reading Rainbow.

By around 9, I had switched over to "Married With Children", "In Living Color", later "The Simpsons"...shows that felt more like home.
