I apologize about my rambling posts lately. Seriously. (I know I say that every time lol) I appreciate all of you who take the time to listen (and even reply!) I just have so many questions and so few answers... mostly about myself.

Why do I care SO MUCH about everything?? About little things. It's one thing to be compassionate and sensitive, a good person, etc. but sometimes my own sensitivity is a burden in-an-of itself. Sometimes I don't know if there's something wrong with the people surrounding me, or if there's something wrong with ME!

For instance, the other day I was walking along the road to Food Lion, and I see this dark, lovely butterfly crawling across the gravel. Upon careful examination, I could tell that one of the wings was slightly battered up and it was unable to fly, so I picked it up and took it with me to the store. Even though it's such a minuscule creature, I just had this burning desire to help it, and to somehow maybe repair it's wing- (btw, it's actually possible!!) I got home and to my astonishment and amazement, you actually CAN repair a butterfly wing!!

There's a whole foundation putting an effort into helping butterflies!! Apparently, due to the gradual loss of habitat, butterflies are slowly but surely becoming endangered and then possibly extinct! It's called the Live Monarch Foundation and there's a whole step-by-step instructional video on how to repair a wing: http://www.livemonarch.com/hospital.htm!

So anyway, I really put a lot of effort into trying to help this butterfly fly again, but to no avail. He was a male Mourning Cloak, which are supposed to live up to 10 months (one of the longest living types.) So I was really sad and surprised when he only lasted a day!! I mean I fed him, patched up one of his wings, tried to take care of him the best I can, and was going to try to fix his other wing this morning before work, but he didn't make it Now, I somehow feel responsible. As if I killed him! And this whole day I've just been so down and deppressed and all because of Charlie (that's what I named him)... A dead butterfly!! I hear the snickering coming from my bf's brother, and a lot of other people just don't get it... I feel like a lunatic!! Even now, his lifeless body is still laying on the counter and I just don't have the heart to get rid of him!

Is it my Pisces Moon again??? Or what other aspects in my chart could account as well?

I don't know how to read charts, but i had to answer this post. Just know that the butterfly was kept comfortable by you and taken care of. Knowing you didn't leave him alone..He knows he had Love and compassion. You should feel good about what you did.

He's in spirit now ask for a sign maby he can come to you in a dream.

When I read your post the first thing I was thinking before I saw your chart was she must be a venus neptune, you sounded like me and yep you've got the square just like me too. Also with that kind of empathy there is probably chironic energy going on also. Your venus square neptune is actually a t square with chiron and jupiter is involved too so it's blowing(expanding) everything up even more. You sound like a beautiful person and there's not enough on this planet like you. Are you a very giving person and do you ever find yourself used or unappreciated by those around you??

Dee, thank you so much for responding!! I'm glad that you don't think I'm crazy! lol Interesting thing is, it came to me in a dream just last night... when it died... So could that be it coming to me in spirit? I never thought of that before... very interesting!

Scrappydog, yes I feel unappreciated all the time!! It's like I expect the same from other people as I expect of myself (which is a LOT!) I try to help anyone, anything, no matter how big or small if they cross my path... It seems to be my detriment sometimes. Other people just don't see things the way I do... and I'm usually left disappointed...

Now I'm not sure what to do with the little guy... I kind of want to save his good wing so that if I find another badly wounded butterfly I can just replace it... but my bf (Cancer Stellium), who is also quite sympathetic, told me that it might be a little bit disrespectful to the butterfly to take off the wing...

What do you guys think?

just being highly Neptunian

I am too with Moon in Pisces square Neptune and numerous Neptune aspects overall
I have overall strong water

just have to learn how to control your boundaries and not let things get to you.

I see that you have Moon in Pisces sextile Neptune which also trines your Ascendant and square your Venus.

Your Moon also trines dwarf planet,Ceres in Cancer, and that seems to indicate potential for being very nurturing and caring.

I honestly think that most people in this forum are highly Neptunian types.

how they choose to use their sensitivity varies

as for me, it comes mainly with wanting to help people with neurological/learning differences and special education needs as well as psychiatric misdiagnosed, and that's mainly from my own history of those things.

I agree, Glaucus... most people on the forum are highly Neptunian... that would explain the interest in astrology... a very intangible pseudo-science...

Well I'm glad that I'm not the only one. Most people I run into are just so cold and apathetic, it makes me feel like a freak.

I hope you continue in your pursuit to help those who are neuro-divergent... I'm sure those that it applies to are very grateful!

Here are a few pics of Charlie on his final day: He was a good looking butterfly

This is me trying to feed him. He was so weak I had to uncurl his proboscis for him myself.

You can really see where his wing was damaged here. The cardboard is where I patched up his wing (like the site showed me)

I think you have a beautiful heart. There's nothing wrong with you. And I wish to god that there're more people out there like you! I also liked the way your boyfriend approached to your worry.

I'm highly Neptunian too. I have Venus in Pisces sq Neptune. My Moon and Mercury trine Neptune also. In Sideral, my Sun and Venus is in Pisces and my ascendant is Cancer.

Aww, he was beautiful, EE.

You were there when he needed you. It's no news flash when I say that life can be viscous and tormenting. Some of that we're responsible for, so can help stop. Some of it is out of our hands. Don't feel guilt for what you have no control over. The important thing is giving love when you have the chance. That's huge.

Thank you songwriter and jane!!

Songwriter, so then are you the same way? It's just so hard to feel normal sometimes because it seems that majority of the people around you are the opposite! When you're a minority in any situation, there is a tendency to feel out of place and strange. I often feel very naive and childish.

Yes, my bf is a sweet, caring person. Gotta love that Cancer stellium! It's in the 12th house though so that emotional side seems hidden. Although I don't think he understands me and my open displays of emotion sometimes, he says that he loves that I care.

Jane! Thank you!! Yes, he was a beautiful creature... I just don't know what to do with him now that he's dead! Like I said earlier, I don't know if I should keep the wing or not for future butterflies in need?... lol or should I bury him or something?

I don't know if butterflies can actually "feel" or have emotions, but I hope that he knew that he was cared for. <3

Why do you care SO much?

Your Pisces moon is already naturally caring, but to add to it, you have it trined by Pluto and by Chiron, giving intensity of feeling and desire to heal and be healed, and sextiled by Neptune, giving a highly loving and idealistic nature.

I am sure Charlie sensed your caring and your love for him, and that his last day was sweet because of that.

Bury him with love and reverence, just as you cared for him when he was alive.

Or you may lovingly put him out in nature somewhere, and let his body feed nature. There are creature that live on decaying matter.

That's beautiful that you tried to help a butterfly heal, EE
Perhaps you might consider burying him, and let the earth take back this creature of the sky.....

I think I may try burying him tomorrow morning...

i am the same way. i think it might be my pisces SN and my AC being the midpoint of my neptune and venus (neptune and venus conj at 10 deg). my neptune's also in the 12th.

yeah i feel like freak most of the time and sometimes it can be debilitating because i care so much that i worry my actions may cause pain, even in the most abstract, theoretcial way, i can't go ahead with what i want to do. also, i can't kill bugs and i used to try to rescue them too.

Your Moon in Pisces is actually in a grand water trine with the dwarf planets, Ceres in Cancer and Pluto in Scorpio. Add Neptune in Capricorn, you have a kite.

Ceres, the dwarf planet of nurturing and mother love in the sign of nurturing is a strong nurturing placement, and you got the planet of nurturing, emotions, mother in trine to that.

Therefore, you have Ceres in Cancer trine its dispositor. Moon-Ceres double whammy.

Your Ceres is also in 11th house which is associated with humanitarianism. Your Venus is also square Ceres too, and so loving nurturer, nurturing love.

I find Ceres way too underrated in Astrology, but I feel that it's just as significant as Pluto. They are equals as dwarf planets in Astronomy.

also your Ceres in trine to your Pluto can indicate the theme of "the empty nest", letting go and sharing like when Ceres/Demeter and Pluto/Hades had to split time with Proserpina/Persephone. Your Venus is closely conjunct Eris too. Eris has a Proserpina/Persephone-like orbit, and so it does have Proserpina/Persephone qualities.

I feel that Ceres has to do with caring in general. The fundamental type of caring that's more earthy like, and in the sign of the nurturing sign,Cancer....a strong capacity for caring, and Moon trine that reinforces it.

Your Neptune is in close opposition to Ceres, and that can be indiscriminate, mystical, compassionate type of nurturing, caring. Your Neptune sextiles Moon too.

Your Ceres is conjunct Chiron in Cancer too, and so it's hard to really isolate the effects of Ceres and Chiron, but Ceres outweighs Chiron imho because Ceres is much larger than Chiron. Ceres is a dwarf planet, but Chiron isn't. Chiron in aspect to Ceres makes the Ceres more outerplanet-like but in a Chirotic way. This aspect would indicate the nurturing, motherly type of healer, teacher.

the symbolism of caring, mothering fits more with Ceres than Chiron. Chiron can be other things too ....not just healing, but also teaching as well as being maverick because it has a highly eccentric orbit.

but yeah, I would never underestimate the influence of Ceres. There is a good reason why Ceres was promoted as dwarf planet and made equals with Pluto,Eris,Makemake, and Haumea.
Ceres is unique too. It's the only asteroid that's a dwarf planet. All the other dwarf planets are transneptunians and classed as Plutoids.

Ceres also has significant amounts of water ice. Without water, there is no possibility of life.

Ceres is prominent in your chart, and so I am giving you interpretations for your Ceres aspects.

The interpretation for Ceres in Cancer from Solar Fire:
You ability to nurture others is closely linked with your own relationship with your mother. If you had a close and loving relationship with your mother then you will enjoy the same with others in your adult life. If not, you may form dependent relationships.

The intepretation for Ceres in 11th from Solar Fire:
You care for your friends and are a warm nurturer within groups. You also like to be loved and protected by your friends, and feel safe when in groups of people.

Moon trine or sextile Ceres
Nourishing and nurturing those around you is a natural response for you, and a role which you enjoy. You would be an excellent parent, very understanding and supportive. You are deeply caring and will go to great lengths to provide for the needs of your children or those dependent on you. http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Moon_Aspects.html

Venus square Ceres
You are a social person, but do not enjoy taking care of others, and resist falling into the role of care giver. You may have a smother mother, and find it difficult to break away. Or you may be separated by circumstance from a nurturing parent, and find it hard to be on your own and take care of yourself. You might seek nurturing relationships, but feel a dilemma over how much to accept and/or give. You dont place much value on the natural world. http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Venus_Aspects.html

Neptune opposed Ceres
You have a polarity in your life having to do with nurturance and closeness versus spiritual/psychic sensitivity and the urge for expanded awareness and transcendence. It may be that those who support and nourish you (in a mothering-type role) feel threatened by your sensitivity and desire for spiritual experience, or perhaps dont give validity to your subtle perceptions or the artistic and spiritual expressions engendered by them. Or maybe your spiritual path seems to require you to forego your most supportive and nurturing relationships. You may feel very torn between the need for close, nurturing bonds and the deep desire for expansion of spiritual experience and expressions. It is important to find a compromise so that both needs are met in your life, or you will be inclined to act out the dichotomy within the context of an oppositional relationship. http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Neptune_Aspects.html

Pluto trine or sextile Ceres
You know instinctively how to nurture and encourage self-empowerment and the ownership of deep transformative urges. You understand the cycles of loss and return, and you know that the soul transcends these experiences and that love survives all rites of passage; transformation, separation, loss and initiation. Your acceptance of these powerful experiences enables you to guide others to face transformation and loss without fear. http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Pluto_Aspects.html

Chiron conjunct Ceres
Your healing and path of initiation are based on a deep, mystical connection with the Earth and nature. Nurturing and nourishing are the major issues of your self-healing; your sense of wounding may revolve around separation from your mother or some equivalent. You must learn to give yourself the nurturing that you lacked in your childhood. By so doing, you can be an example for others. You can find keys, methods and insights that will shed light not only on your own experience but on many who experience a similar wounding. http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Chiron_Aspects.html

Here is a good link about Ceres: http://goddess.astrology.com/ceres/index.html

I also want to point out that Moon in Pisces doesn't really equate to being very caring, compassionate.

John Wayne Gacy and Richard Ramirez both had Sun and Moon in Pisces, and those were serial killers.

OJ Simpson has Moon in Pisces. He also has Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Cancer.

Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma Bomber, had Moon in Pisces too.

also...I half jokingly said a few times
"It's not the insensitive people to watch out for. It's the oversensitive people to watch out for".

there are other factors. You have that kite of Moon,Neptune,Pluto,Ceres-Chiron that aspects the Ascendant/Descendant axis

also free will is the ultimate factor too.

You choose to be a very caring, compassionate person unlike the other Pisces Moons that decided to be the opposite.

thank you for your insight everyone!!

Glaucus, thank you for your in depth analysis of my chart. That explains quite a lot... I had no idea that Ceres has that much impact and influence. It's really incredible.

I think I probably would be very comfortable in the role of the care-taker. Parenting would come very natural to me. That's definitely a journey I plan to embark on one day, and hopefully will get the chance to.

Well I understand now WHY it is that I'm that way but at the same time, it doesn't change how much it hurts me! It's like things affect me on a more personal level than most people... especially films... gosh I just watched the saddest movie the other night and I still can't get over it... The Boy in The Striped Pajamas... amazing, dark, moving... but oh so sad and cruel... anyone seen it? Still can't get it out of my head... still really bothers me...

You always have to look at the whole chart and see if an aspect has the potential to manifest or to be denied. I could go over each person that you mentioned here to somewhat disprove that moon in Pisces is loving, but I don't have the time. So, I'll just stick to OJ Simpson.

Simpson had moon in Pisces yes, but the moon was placed in the 8th house, the house of sex and DEATH, and it was squared Uranus on one side and Juno on the other side, creating a very karmic T square. He also has Pluto in the 12th house of the unconscious and to a lesser extent also called the house of death. He had mercury also in the 12th house, indicating that his thought process tended to be hidden from what he portrayed to the general public.

I could go into the analysis of the eclipses that preceeded the double murder, but I also don't have enough time for this.

In general, moon in Pisces is loving, though it is not a guarantee that the person will be loving, you have to look at the whole chart, what aspects there are to the moon and how the person is using the energies, that goes for every aspect, including Ceres aspects.

We had someone starting a thread about this guy with moon in Pisces who is embroiled in a very abusive relationship with a physically abusive girlfriend. (A thread about luck, I think). Guess what, moon in Pisces loves martyr situations, and sometimes, the roles are reversed. Instead of playing the martyr, it gets in situation where it plays the abuser or executioner. Different sides of the same coin, and that's a factor in many of the serial killers mentioned in that quote. The energy of the moon in Pisces is manifesting itself in twisted ways.

Yes...I am well aware of the aspects that those other Moon in Pisces people had. I looked at their charts before. That's why I mentioned those people because I knew they had Moon in Pisces.

My point is that Moon in Pisces isn't necessarily loving and compassionate. I don't like to read cookbook interpretations in books and reports that interpet Moon in Pisces in that way like it's something given. I think that being caring, loving, compassionate are traits that a person chooses to be from his/her own free will. Definitely a Moon in Pisces alone won't indicate a person is loving. also hard aspects to the Moon doesn't necessarily mean that the Moon isn't a loving, compassionate type of person. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a t-square of Moon in Pisces in 12th square the opposition of Mars in Gemini and Saturn in Sagittarius. He was a man of nonviolence, but his life ended by violence. My Moon in Pisces is conjunct Mars and square Saturn-Neptune opposition.

but any ways, I don't think any aspect or placement shows that anybody is caring or not. Also there could be other things that factor into it

I also just wanted to point out that she has a prominent Ceres. Like I said before, Ceres is very underrated in Astrology. Her Ceres was clearly a prominent object in her chart and it formed a kite with that Moon in Pisces, especially with it conjunct her Chiron.

I believe that free will is the ultimate factor.

I believe that she chose to be caring, compassionate out of her own free will.

Are you serious?

Your post previous to this one gave us a list of cookbook interpretations about the different aspects of Ceres with other planets, and you're fussing about cookbook interpretation of moon in Pisces. So, cookbook interpretations are fine with Ceres, but not with moon in Pisces...

Got it...
