Just curious. Has anyone learnt to master their Saturn? Or just make peace with it?

Oh let's leave the poor old c*** alone, shall we?

All planets have their attractive and unattractive side. Venus, yes, all those nice things. But veneral disease isn't nice.

How we all bang on about sex and Mars, but being collateral damage in a war isn't quite as much fun.

Saturn, well, discipline and learning a lesson isn't thrills and spills. But he is also form, strucure and the protective father.

Mine is in the 7th house. In almost every working situation I have been in, older men have helped me out. On a personal level I have had some attention from older men, though I prefer to think this is my endearing personality and wit, my husband says it is because I am small with big t!ts. They're not that big, but he is older than me with Sun CNJ Saturn.

LOL BM! hahaha

I never looked at saturn as an old C*** before!!!

PeaceAngel, i think i'm finally getting the better of saturn. He is in bed with my moon/venus/NN and he has brought me to task most of my life... now, i am finally almost entirely at peace. I have found my true self through my saturn link with my emotions.

ROFL bm.
Laced with some brilliant insight. Saturn is the protective father. Maybe I'm too busy in there with "I want" and he's just strictly saying, "but this is what you need".

I like that "protective father" metaphor
For me, Old Man Chronos is like The Voice of My Conscience, sitting on my shoulder with that little angel-type (nSaturn conj nSun), saying "no you probably shouldn't do that in the best interest of your future security and stability," whilst nUranus sq Sun and nNeptune conj Sun (sitting on the other shoulder with that little devil-type) are dragging us off to do something freaky, risky, rebellious and just plain dangerous

But that was in my youth.

I've come to appreciate Saturn tempering my decisions and (still) wild ideas with the voice of reason
Saturn I can handle -- I won't say "with ease" -- but Saturn is concrete and substantial, the bridgemeister between the tangible and intangible, guarding my world and keeping it from disappearing entirely into chaos. It's those fellows Uranus, Neptune and Pluto that are my hardest taskmasters/teachers, and all of them are in contact with my natal Sun
Not to mention their transiting shenanigans!!

saturn ****** me off soooo much sometimes, it feels like he likes it and does it on purpose.

my saturn is in virgo - second bad news!!!

right now, my finances are the worst, lucky i don't have to provide for anyone; but i promise that when my plan will be realised, i'll be able to provide sufficiently for myself and set up something for my niece and nephew;

also, my saturn is in the 3rd, and i'm currently going through my saturn return; the air feels heavy, i don't know how to relax i'm extra sensitive; hyper-reactive and ultra-angry. at the same time, i feel confident in the beauty of life, exstatic and in love with it; i'm a mess.

to go back to saturn, i see the good he can brings, really good stuff, it even make me laugh when i can step back, and then i want to run even faster, but, there is a but, i'm that close to loosing EVERYTHING.

Having in the 4th square to Moon 7, the relationship is similar to that instructor, prof, parent, or teacher that turned out to be the most influential. During the instruction period, or time of influence they are a royal pain in the arse. You resent them, and the process, it is hard dammit.
If you refuse the instruction, or belittle it's importance it keeps coming 'round. Till the light bulb goes on.
Resentment or laziness get you nowhere.
You don't have to agree with all might be sayin, but you do have to deal. Each time.

With the other difficult aspects that he makes in my natal I have learned to appreciate the sextile to Chiron. I believe it to be an indicator of resilience.
Other chart influences provide internal examination. A sort of "pick yourself up and start all over again" A process I seem repeat, with disgusting regularity.

Saturn is in my 10th, and I never seem to be able to get my career off the ground - it just ain't happening. It's in Gem (as is my Mars), so I thought for a while my future would be in publishing - but I don't know, I'm becoming ever more cynical about the stars' determining those things (i.e. how about I just be myself?) Plus the fact that according to Madalyn Aslan, it's Jupiter that determines where your luck lies (in Pisces, I would assume it would lie in the arts).

Everywhere I look I can see Saturn wreaking havoc in people's charts - I am going through the same stuff that a few Aquarians I knew went through abt. 4 years ago - and Geminis I know are now going through the same that I went through 4 years ago!! Spooky!

I feel ya here!! "OK, that tack didn't work, let's try it *this* way....."

Lyra ~

I understand your feeling of "Saturn wreaking havoc" but in my case it was the fact that I refused to see what was right under my nose, and denied the validity of my little internal voice, that brought the "havoc" into my life. With a bit (OK, a lot ) more honesty and self-examination, I probably could have avoided all the "havoc" I went thru in learning my lessons The Hard Way instead of the easy way.....

i think you learn to appreciate saturn as you get older and look around and see you're still here! all those supposedly impossible pressures didn't destroy you and in fact some of them really made you stronger.

i feel this way about both saturn and pluto, two planets a lot of people seem to be afraid of, but i agree with BM, saturn is like a protective father - whom i sometimes flip the bird and do it MY WAY anyway - but there's something solid and REAL about him that is comforting too.

natally pluto sits on my sun(merlin) and saturn is widely conj my merc and opposite my moon, making a yod to my asc with uranus on the other side of the sextile. so i really struggled with saturn when i was younger, but after he went through my 12th house i realized how much dead wood he had removed from my life. respect!

Saturn is my favorite planet and always has been. It's definitely the most beautiful planet to me. I had NASA photos of Saturn framed in my room when I was a kid, and I have one in my living room now. Uranus disrupts just to be disruptive, and Pluto destroys to cleanse. Saturn gives inconveniences here and there, and when you can overcome them he'll give you a motherlode of rewards.

I LOVE Saturn...to me, Venus and Neptune are the most irritating/misleading/heartbreaking planets with the crappiest transits.

I love Saturn, I've experienced Saturn transits as very productive and they make me feel grounded & vital.

I would gladly swap Jupiter, Venus & Neptune for 3 extra doses of Saturn.

Saturn slammed me into the wall of my individuality and I will forever love him for that.

(edit: that sounded more s&m than I intended)

Blue Moon,
I loved that response.
Brilliant indeed PA, lol.
Funny as hell too.

Yeah Saturn sucks but, in the end you love him after you've learned your lessons. Just like you love your dad or learn to love your dad after you learn the lessons he teaches directly or indirectly, loving or unloving, present or unpresent. Your gonna learn something from him some where, some how. lol
I guess thats why they say there is no way around but through when it comes to Saturns' lessons.

LOL Jane, yeah, it sounds kinky but appropriately kinky (as Saturn is all about things being appropriate )

I used to hate Saturn too - not so long ago I did detest him. But he made me find the roots of my self-confidence, made me build myself from the inside-out, from the ground-up.
Saturn is not about surface beauty - he's about all that is authentic, and making you get as real as possible about everything so you can see things clearly (both the beauty and the ugliness). 'Know thyself' would probably be Saturn's motto.
For that, I love him

I was wondering if anyone is starting to feel relief now that Saturn is moving out of Virgo and if any Libras are feeling a bit "under"

I dunno, Kat - just as I was getting used to the energy (I'm 21 degrees Virgo), Saturn's moved on! LOL. He's on my Mercury right now, exact (but I have the Saturn/Merc square in my natal), also on my Pluto (7th house ruler) exactly.
I feel like I'm in a pressure cooker actually.
It's not bad, in some way I'm getting used to the uphill feeling. But the hardest part so far has really been at the beginning of the transit, when it was just just contacting my sun. Along with the Uranus opposition, it wasn't easy at all.
I think I feel more resigned than anything else, but it's not depressed so much as just a bit tired.
I want to take a nap

Node,

LOL. That's the best description of Saturn I've ever seen!

I have Saturn in Scorpio which enjoys putting me through excruciatingly painful experiences. To make it worse, Saturn is my chart ruler.
