I prefer to remain neutral about it all. I can see both sides of the story those who believe and those who bash it all to hell. For some it works and makes sense and for other it is a load of bunk that will never make sense or have any respect.

Many years ago, I thought of how to present astrology to skeptics. How could you really show it can work. The answer was to predict very well. I predict the sports results regularly and receive great feedback from people who are high in the food chain (no more mentioned about that).

The main way to prove to people that astrology can be done is having the ability to rectify natal charts. Have the information of events, and attempt to use a formula in which astrology will show these events happening. From using this formula, you should be able to get the right ASC. I've done this and continue to rectify my whatever thousandth chart.

As to how I respond to skeptics....I don't ask I don't get any to respond to. My brother still doesn't quite believe, even after I've predicted many defenders scoring in a football match. He and many others will never believe. The only way is to a) predict very well, or b) teach them how to do it.

What doesn't help is that astrologers teach many students (on here especially) the WRONG way to do astrology. It doesn't help when a bad chinese whisper is handed down from generation to generation, and they keep passing it on.

One way to respond to criticism is to ask them how they were so tiny at birth and then grew into a wonderful human being with a body inn perfect working order. How is life possible? Once you have them there, you tell them that they forget who they are and where they've come from, and how they have forgotten such a miracle that is life. In other words they have been brainwashed into believing that miracles are not possible.

My whole thing is, to let them believe what they want. If they think it's bull, who cares. I'm not in the business of trying to convince people. Either you think there's something to it, or you don't.

I definitely agree with Coffee though that a lot of astrologers just dont' know what the h.ell they're talking about. But at this point I honestly don't think that's the main reason why so many people don't take astrology seriously - I think it's more the general premise of astrology that they can't get past; the idea that where the planets were in the sky at the time of our birth, affects our personalities, they find that absolutely hilarious.

Which in a way, I understand, and that's why so many people kind of immediately dismiss astrology and never really give it a shot anyway in the first place. Those people never get a chance to be turned off of the subject by crappy astrologers, because they won't even give astrology a shot to begin with.

I ignore the typical ones- the ones that insult and say things like the planets are rocks and gas, how can they influence us? There are millions of Virgo's....You know the deal. I am open to reading the views on the mature ones who debate constructively. These people usually do have some knowledge on Astrology not on star signs and houses but more on astronomy, gravity, equinoxes that sort of thing. The ones that were believers and I'm not just talking about believing in Sun sign astrology or even the birth chart, the ones who really studied Astrology in and out but rejected it are really worth listening too. Otherwise we are going to be the close-minded ones. I have read a lot about The Forer Effect, Confirmation Bais etc. They do have valid points but there are "just those things" that if you apply any logical explanation to it, its going to sound crazy more than the original claim. If you know what I mean. This is where the extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence comes in.

I believe in it because it works for me taking everything into consideration and without sounding arrogant I just know. You just know. I do remain neutral about it though.
