Venus in Taurus, and Neptune in the 7th house! Arggh! Never again!!! Why did I do this to myself? Sufferable natal aspects!!!

Venus in Taurus: I love very intensely, very deeply, I am hopelessly devoted. I am ardent and faithful. When it ends I try, try and try again. I forgive everything and emerse myself in all the wonderful memories, holding on so tight. Then it takes me *years* to get over someone.

Neptune in the 7th.....read this article called "Cinderella Complex" by Sasstrology.com http://sasstrology.com/2009/10/neptune-in-the-seventh-house-the-cinderella-complex.html

Well I don't feel the article is totally complete but I do understand the point and yes I do have that complex, but at the same time, I really don't know how to rise about these aspects.

The aspects we were born with make us who we are.......our character and personalities.

Just wondering how I can rise above these aspects......always much EASIER SAID THAN DONE.

You can't MAKE yourself feel a certain way. Your heart and soul feels the way it feels.

Other people with these aspects, how do you handle it?

Thanks.

I have Neptune in the 7th, and I've called myself a relationship social worker... add to that my 7th house ruler, Pluto, in the 6th house (emotional workaholic...yay!), and you have a recipe for some real good times

Over the years I've just learned that there's compromise and there's non-negotiable stuff in relationships. I've been challenging myself to be more picky and decipher between real intuition and emotional narcolepsy (Neptune in the 7th). I'm lucky Neptune doesn't make any hard aspects to my personal planets, thought it does conjunct my Ceres/Juno. But I think this is really about unconditional love.
The main important thing I've learned is that Neptune 7th house people give A LOT of themselves in relationships.... therefor they need someone who will be *highly* appreciative and also who will also give a lot back in return. Someone who will love them back unconditionally because I think we're starved for that on a gut level.

In some ways it can never be enough really... but I also think that when we realize that we are our own partners in a sense, then we can give to ourselves unconditionally, and once we put that into practice, we will attract it and get it.
That's how I've felt Neptune in the 7th has worked for me.

But there are so many different layers to this placement!

For instance, when I was much, much younger (I'm talking 14 here), I used to have this concept that once I met the person of my dreams and fell in love, that life will be perfect and I had a full-on soundtrack played out and everything lol. It was a typical adolescent dream, yes, but it was so strong, I would daydream for days on end about this in great detail (moon in the 12th lol)...
So, despite all of my disappointments in love, I will say the positive thing for me over the years has really been that I stay optimistic... no, I am not waiting for 'someone to take me away from all this', but I have hope in my heart, and I am open. And I am aware of how insidious this placement can be. But I still don't hate it. Sometimes I feel Neptune in the 7th is one of the things which has kept me from turning bitter. It's allowed my heart to still open, and feel love on a profound level (despite so many painful, gut-wrenching disappointments), so I feel very lucky

We have t he same chart. I have all the stuff you listed, exactly, except I have pluto in the 5th/6th, so I am even worse!

I am actually pretty grounded when it comes to love and relationships, but I can get swept up in it. That said, I am very hesitant to commit or make things permanent because I know once I commit I am in it forever. I take that stuff seriously.

Still feeling not too great about it though. *sigh*

Never again will I be born with CANCER in my fricking 7th house. Cancer DC, Saturn-Moon,
Venus.

Oh, waaaahhh, does he love me? Or love me not? Oh, woe is me, I think I'll call my mother and CRY and cry and eat a whole box of...but wait! Saturn won't let me eat that box of....Saturn won't let me call my mother...Saturn wants my dignity preserved at ANY COST, including never, ever, ever letting anyone know I am vulnerable or have feelings for him, even if it kills me inside.

Yeah, I'm SO OVER it.

I want to be my Draconic chart--a Sag Sun with Libra in my 7th!

I read somewhere that our Saturn house is:
-where we didn't get what we wanted/needed in childhood
-where we sabotage ourselves (less after passing the 1st Saturn return if we really worked hard to "get" it, but it's still not always easy)

I guess the Neptune house is where we delude ourselves?

my T-Square of
Moon in Pisces in 3'11 Pisces in 7th
square the opposition of retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 5'08 Gemini in 10th and conjunction of Jupiter in 8'17 Sagittarius Neptune in 1'48 Sagittarius in 4th

with corresponding midpoint pictures of:

Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint with 17 minutes of arc
Saturn semisquare Moon/Jupiter midpoint with 36 minutes of arc

I hate the bad luck, misfortune, suffering with relationships, women, mother, domestic environment,career,upbringing.. All the stuff that they talked about in all the traditional, modern astrology books fit me quite a bit.

I know that t-square indicates major karmic issues to deal with in this lifetime.

Sun in 5'20 Scorpio in 3rd trine Moon is there to ease things, and can be very good for relationships, hope, and inner peace and serenity.

with my upcoming simultaneous Solar Return,Lunar Return with Sun trine Moon, my natal Sun trine Moon will be reinforced. It will be a great annual period for relationships. (Hey..I have to think positive...Law of Attraction)
hahahahahaha

I love my entire chart, even the difficult aspects. There's nothing like trying to integrate the easy and the challenging to create a wholly balanced person.

Besides, it's great giving my especially challenging aspects funny nicknames, like Saturn square Neptune gives me an acute case of "Woody Allen Syndrome" or Chiron opposing the Stellium is "The Wounded Bull in the China Shop." Finding the cure to these maladies is a lot of work and not a whole lot of fun, but it is spiritually rewarding in the end.

Very cool, Plutonian!

I might have a positive attitude about mine too, if I didn't have that wet-blanket Moon-Saturn making me such a downer, LOL!!

Scorpio Pluto and Saturn in the 3rd house I guess.. Obsessive thoughts in never ending cycles, for better or worse yay~~ But wait, I want to pursuit that "ultimate truth", so I shall born with that mindset again *obsessive Scorpio mode on*.. Wait no...*mind loop mode on*..!!

Yup, true enough Lucia, Saturn to the luminaries would definitely be a downer! Just having transiting Saturn square my Scorp stellium was a true struggle, but made me a better person in the end. Of course, I did have the added advantage of having perspective, which you don't necessarily get if you have these aspects natally!

Nephthys,

I am not sure

it might depend on the planets involved.
also the orb too, especially it has a corresponding midpoint picture, particular the opposition midpoint picture like in my case, I have Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint

I think luminaries involved in t-squares with Saturn and an outer planet can be significant karmic challenges like in my case with the Saturn oppose Neptune.

according to Robert Hand's book, HOROSCOPE SYMBOLS

Saturn/Neptune: Confusion about what is real and is not real. fear, pessimism. Ascetism, extreme self-denial or denial of the physical for reasons of discipline. Often takes the form of chronic,non-infectious,or systemic ailments. The ability to bring dreams into concrete realization

medical astrologers, cosmobiologists, uranian astrology look at Saturn/Neptune midpoint and hard Saturn-Neptune midpoint in regards to serious medical problems, particularly chronic illnesses. That's one of the first things that they will check in a Medical Astrology chart.

with the Moon involved, this is especially true for my mother who has serious health problems in the form of diabetes and hepatitis C and mental health problems that include depression, anxiety. She is also a recovering alcoholic, drug addict. Of course, as her only child, I help support her. I feel that I have an obligation and responsibility to be there for her and support her. The main challenge for me was overcome any emotional, past issues that I had with her and replace it with compassion and caring. My t-square could draw me into the healing arts, helping others. My own issues with mental health could help me empathize with others that have mental health issues too. Moon is said to be associated with the brain/mental processing, and so it can indicate possible issues in that area which is true for me and is hereditary from both sides....my Saturn-Neptune opposition is in the 10th and 4th houses which are house of father and mother.

with my Moon being in 7th, relationships can be effected. My future relationship partners could have similar issues.

my Varuna is in 3'01 Gemini R in 10th,and so its involved with my t-square

as a transneptunian dwarf planet candidate, it's involved in evolutionary intensified lessons that involve judgment, justice. The perfect example is how I used to be a strong believer in the death penalty, and it was connected to my mom's shooting. that fits with Moon (mother) square Varuna (justice, judgment) I do believe in harsher punishments for violent criminals. As a kid, I liked the fictional Batman who was traumatized by the murder of his parents and became a vigilante, taking the law into his own hands, and sometimes get caught between the light and darkness. A very psychological character.

I have an issue with the heavy stuff going on in my 8th house. Saturn conjunct North Node conjunct Vertex conjunct Lilith conjunct BML conjunct Spirit conjunct Angel and, if it is Placidus, Pluto is thrown in there! I am always afraid to read those 8th house interpretations! "Regeneration", sure. "Transformation", yeah, I know but I have that "Woody Allen" Saturn square Neptune as well so I always jump to the Death and Debt parts. It was neat learning about orbs though, it is only an orb of 5. At least it is not exact (that is what I tell myself). Actually, I don't know what I would think about if I wasn't worried about something. Sometimes I forget and I think "What was I worried about? Oh yeah...". Whew, better.

ETA: Actually, when I am feeling bad about a house or an aspect I usually focus on my "hallelujah, saving grace" aspects and read up on them. That is exactly what I just did to make myself feel better (googled: Moon trine Mars, next is Mars trine Pluto...aahh, relief)...

Interesting, Cheshire, I LOVE my 8th house stellium and my Retro planets.

I love everything about the 8th house.

It's funny how some of us might like the aspects of our charts that others dislike--is your Sun in the 8th too?

downtomars,

Hard Saturn-Neptune aspects have their positives too

I have the Saturn-Neptune opposition involved with my Moon. I also have the Saturn-Neptune contraparallel involved with my Mercury and Venus.

in my case: I refrain from drugs and alcohol as well as avoid things like channeling, mediumism, and magick
it's about the need to control boundaries to avoid being caught up and overwhelmed by things that can lead to possible psychosis , especially when I have transneptunian (Varuna) involved in hard aspect as in "the other side" which doesn't necessarily have to be metaphysical but also the depths of the unconscious mind.

like I said in an earlier thread,I try to balance out logical, rational, linear and the intuitive, imaginative nonlinear sides of me.
I like both science and metaphysics. Astrology is a metaphysical science. It's metaphysical in that it's divination that involve the belief that the heavenly bodies synchronized with human affairs as well as confirming things that are viewed as mystical, supernatural, metaphysical. It's science because it's a high-data system that involves astronomy, mathematics, and overall analysis. It's a social science because it involves the study of human nature. Astrology tends to be influenced by the discoveries of Astronomers (i.e. most Western Astrologers use the outerplanets and Pluto).

my hard Saturn-Neptune configurations can also be compassion for people that problems, suffer in some way, especially health problems (doesn't matter if the are physical or mental..actually mental is physical because of the brain involved). A lot of people are very prejudiced when it comes to mental health problems. Instead of looking down on them, I feel the need to have compassion and understand what they are going through. This stems from my own past experiences with mental health problems.

Laying off these things is also a great idea for people enduring tricky Neptune transits to Saturn or the Sun, IMO.

I agree with this Raymond, I think that is the key. I can't let my imagination or emotions run wild or get the best of me so I like to get rational about things too, balance it out. That is something I learned about myself not too long ago actually, I tell myself to "talk it out" and "be reasonable".

Another good thing about Saturn-Neptune, that you bought up also, is that it makes me refrain from the drinking and drugs thing. I never tried drugs, never want to, not interested in the least bit. I rarely drink because I take migraine meds (the bottle doesn't say that I can't have a drink but the Saturn-Neptune worrying is not worth it!), so that works for me!

Lucia, I have Sun in the 8th house according to the Placidius System ( I probably spelt that wrong) and Sun in the 9th house using the Whole House System.

I've read both descriptions, I relate to the 8th house Sun but I have heard a stellium is easier to handle when they are all in the same sign, I believe if I am not mistaken you are 8th house Leo all across the board.

I am a early Virgo with an 8th house Leo stellium this may be why I struggle with it because it seems like the 8th house Leo in me wants to do something completely different then what the the 8th house Virgo Sun wants.

I've got Sun-Mercury in Leo and Mars in Virgo in the 8th...also lots of neat asteroids (Adonis-Aphrodite,etc)...if I could have a whole bunch of other planets squished in there, I would. I love that house, it's very me.

But yes, I would much rather have my Mars also in Leo.

EDITED: You know, I really, really struggle with my Cancer stellium in the 7th house (Moon, Saturn, Venus...and Venus is at 29 Cancer, soooo close to Leo...I'd rather have it and my Virgo Mars be in Leo in my 8th.) Maybe my discomfort with the Cancer stellium is like what you're describing. I'd be happy to have no planets at all in Cancer.

Never again will I be born with:

*A stellium in Libra
*Sun AND Saturn in the 7th house--my whole identity revolves around relationships but yet relationships are my most challenging area? Greeeeeeeat...
*Venus in Scorpio and Pluto both in the 8th house...oh and Venus (Libra) is my 8th house ruler...what the HELL did I do to myself?

Ummm, yeah...need to tone down the intensity level a bit next lifetime! Oy.

Lucia & Chesire,
I'm curious as to how having so many retrograde planets have affected your lives? Why do you Lucia love it, and you Chesire hate it??

Chesire I know what you mean...I'm a Virgo in 12H, with a 1H Libra Stellium. It feels very contradictory...but I find as I get older, I'm starting to grow more comfortable with my 1H stellium.

Glaucus,
So what're the effects of someone with a T-square of; 10H Mercury opp. 4H Saturn, squaring 7H Moon?? Would that be quite similar to your case??

Star of Venus Girl,
....and why do you hate your Libra stellium?? lol
