Similarly there should be transits to draconic composite and progressed draconic composite, but... I have no idea where to start with those so I will shelve them for now unless someone comes up with a question for them, unless there can't be a question for them since it is a purely predictive tool, like the transits to the normal composites. I have been reluctant to add the transits in the mix but I see that they are needed. IP: Logged |

Unmoved,I am not really obsessed with transits. But I think they may be needed as "timers". Though progressions are fleeting, they can last about a year or two or depending on the planets even longer than that. And the transits would narrow down the frame, in which a relationship could get triggered. Like the natals are the car; the progressions are the running motor, but the transits are the moments when we really start driving. "his, as you mention as well, may be the cause of those really good relationships that are fleeting... those that are for a season. " Yes, that is what I mean. And that would explain why some seemingly great relationships fall apart after a few years. And it might even be an explanation for those attraction, that you feel very strongly at the outset, but then some months down the road, you just wonder: What did I ever see in him? " Maybe, the relationships with great synastry that do not begin are due to a lack of that 'starter', that push in the right direction which a progressed chart could offer." Yes, exactly!
"It is a fleeting window of opportunity for the natals( individual or synastry) to play out" Have you read Westran`s book on progressed synastry? He calls it "window of opportunity" too. "as transits can't be applied on natal/natal (synastry) comparisons because there is no point in doing so." I don`t agree; I think transits to natal synastry are very important. Transits will show us what planet will be pulled to the centre of attention. When Transit Saturn squared my Sun and Mercury, I was very much confronted with Sun and Mercury-issues. It was like Suna nd Mercury became BIGGER in my personality, while others retreated a bit (like Mars for example), they came to the forefront, and I was faced with them, wanting it or not. Now for a potential partner other planets might be pulled to the forefront, and they wills uddenly become very aware of a certain planet in their charts. If the same Transiting planet now triggers / aspects planets in my chart as well as in his chart, it means that for each of us the triggered planet "wakes up". If these planets are connected through a synastric aspect, this synastry aspect will come to the forefront, too. It doesn`t really affect the relationship per se, but it does show what lies dormant (the non triggered synastric aspects) and what becomes more obvious and central (the triggered ones). Example: His SN: 16 Aquarius My Moon: 17 Aquarius My pr Venus and Mercury and Antivertex: 17 Aquarius Transiting Neptune 17 Aquarius. You can bet it had an effect! It was an unexpected, yet not completely surprising (as I had dreamed of it before) meeting, that had really "dreamlike" quality, very surreal.
There are other aspects in our synastry chart, but the placement of Transiting Neptune and theprogressed planets indicated, that in that special moment this conjunction of Moon and SN was the focal point. (coincidentally - or not- Composite Mercury and Atlantis are on 16 and 17 Aquarius, too). Another focal point was: Transit Saturn: 5°31 Virgo Transit SN: 5°45 Virgo Transit NN: 5°45 Pisces his Pluto: 7 Virgo his Chiron: 8 Pisces his DR Destinn: 4 Pisces
my Pholus: 6 Pisces My Ceres: 9 Pisces Composite: Venus 5 Pisces Composite Jupiter: 6 Pisces Actually I think if you look at those "same-positioned" planets, hit by transits, you can get a very good feel for the athmosphere of this meeting.

Unmoved, I understand what you're saying.I also think you can add SR to SR and SR - Natal, etc. to the mix.

DD~I get what you said re: transits upon synastry. Diana~ SR upon SR would mean that pire's VR suggestion would also be valid.Anyway, it is Friday and I have answered briefly because I am into frivolity currently. Thanks for the response everyone. IP: Logged |

Don't forget SR to natal, which I think is more predictive. IP: Logged |

Another wicked & playful thing to do: 1st, make your Composite or Combined Relationship-chart via astro-com <the combined "Davison chart" gives a "birthdate" and -time for that relationship > save this data as a chart on it's own. Then, 2nd, go to the "Persona chart"-section for this relationship (combined/Davison)-chart. Look at the persona of YOUR NAME, then of your GIRLFRIEND'S/BOYFRIEND'S Persona - and study their placements > that might produce some insights (fantasies?) on HOW EACH OTHER is acting, feeling and "positioned", which role each other plays in that relationship ...As mentioned above: This might be a bit far-fetched ... but it can be a source of further inspiration if someone is pondering on his/her current relationship ... ;-) IP: Logged |

Hmm, far-fetched or not Alvarella I still want to try it out, and I made the new chart with the data that was shown on the Davison, then went to the persona chart section for my "Davison as natal", but I'm confused on where I'd find the persona of my name like you stated and likewise of the spouse's persona? tyIP: Logged |

Wow what a great thread!!I just keep wondering which chart is most essential to reflect feelings. Not dynamics or compatibility but whether anyone falls in love at all. IP: Logged |
