The inheritance connotation to the 8th house is a little dated. It definitely is the obvious choice as far as other people's money is concerned, but not everyone comes from families that will inherit anything worthwhile. I have my Leo Sun and Mercury in the 8th house. Looking at the aspects of the planets that are located in the 8th can give you insight as far as where and from whom the supposed inheritance would come from. My Sun/ Mercury is trine Mars (4th), inconjunct Neptune (1st), square Pluto (11th), trine Asc. and sextile MC. If I inherit anything it will probably come from a man and it will either confuse me of I'll have some kind of power struggle with it in relation to my ideals. I'm luckily not materialistic, so I really don't care about money just other people's money, lol! IP: Logged |

AHaha...my 8th is empty too! on the bright side, IQ said which ever house is empty, Law of attraction works better for it~ >> My 8th House is empty too. I did inherit a tidy sum unexpectedly. After applying LOA. stocks of a company that were inherited went up 1000%. This did not work that great for any stocks bought by myself. 2nd and 5th houses are occupied...LOA works fastest where there is no resistance, like empty houses and signs in our charts.

I have Aries on the 8th house, with Mercury in Taurus in the 8th.Conversely, I've got Libra on the 2nd house, with Pluto in Scorpio in the 2nd. Mercury and Pluto opposed. I always have money when I want it, but never when I actually need it. I should probably save a lot more than I do, haha. My family's not really that well off, so I don't really stand to inherit anything, so far as I can tell.

vertiver - i agree that the inheritance/8th correspondence is a bit old fashioned. but it definitely seems to pan out in my family...that money i inherited was split down the middle with my sister. she has venus in 6TH HOUSE...and she was not a brand new immigrant when it came; she paid into a house (and mortgage) with that money and left the rest in the stock accounts it was sitting in. now while i admit to have spent every penny, which at least one person i know thought was truy idiotic! - the stocks kept growing in value the whole time i retained them. i sold them off slowly and did my schooling and lived in a place that was nicer than my daughter had ever known, and by the time i had spent it it was worth about 25% more than i inherited. meanwhile my 6th house venus sister has a house, to which she is chained! and on which she has had to borrow money despite her nursing job and an income that is probably triple mine(at the moment), and the stocks she retained dwindled away in value after mine were gone so she never really received the full value of what they were worth when she got them. currently due to family comittments that limited my work schedule, i have had to give up my own place, and am living in - my sister's basement...that 8th house venus AGAIN! i suspect the 12th house jupiter on its own indicates a "universe will provide" backdrop to life, and trined with venus in 8 it certainly does seem to have an effect on the probability of other people being in a position to help if not ENRICH the native... i have NEVER been rich (well not since my dad died) and my extremely affluent dad spent ALL his money so there was no "inheritance" from him to speak of, but i have always had "enough" and a few lucky strokes as well... Katatonic, your observation on 12th House Jupiter is a brilliant piece of insight, I had never thought of it that way.

according to that:i have - 8thcusp in Taurus - i have Moon there in Taurus. - Neptune is in contact with the 8th house, trhough Venus.Neptune trines my Venus. my 2nd ruler Pluto is placed in 1st cj Saturn.receives sextile from the 8thRuler,and Neptune(5th ruler)
i wonder what house system we should look at...? cause in Placidus my 2nd is empty but if i use KOCH,Jupiter SAG passes into my 2nd house,cj Uranus SAG in the 3rd. IP: Logged |

Can someone explain to me what the 4th point in Diandra's list means? From her list, I have the first two indicators. I don't have any planets in the 8th house (only the vertex). I have my 8th house ruler in my 1st house though, in Sco - I'm my inheritance? Sounds like time travel is involved, how exciting. Makes sense that I lack the indicators, since I know that inheriting from blood relatives won't be happening. My dad's side of the family was wealthy but cruel, so he broke contact with them. Both of his parents and his only sibling are all dead. We weren't even contacted when they died, let alone given anything. It's interesting though...I have Jupiter (2nd house ruler) in the 11th house, and society has been generous with me. I've received a lot of money in scholarships. I've also had some generous friends. Jupiter forms a grand trine with Venus (rules my 7th house) and Chiron (is in my 7th house). My SO isn't rich, but he does make enough that I don't have to work out of financial necessity. This came in handy for a couple of years when I was caregiving for a family member, leaving me little time for a job. Plus, I was able to use the time I did have for work I loved that didn't pay all that great. So I know I've been really lucky in that regard. IP: Logged |

Jane i also dont know what the 4th means hihihi i have all the 3 aspects but i am not seeing any possibility of inerhit something...and really i feel bad about saying this word cause it is always associated with death of a loved one... hmmm maybe the 4th is saying that the cups of our water houses must have an aspect with our 2ndcusp? Diandra -The blind leading the blind. My guess is it means that planets in the 4th, 8th, and 12th houses form aspects with the 2nd house planet or cusp. IP: Logged |

I have Moon/Venus/Uranus/Pluto in my 8th.I don't have a wealthy family to inherit from, but my father once told me that if anything ever happened to him I would "have nothing to worry about". I wonder if that's still true now he has remarried? My mother is not very generous to me, but then she has her Saturn conjuncting my little 8th house stellium. IP: Logged |

I have Sun, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus and South Node in 8th house.Perhaps I had inherited something in a previous life(South node in 8th). I stand a good chance of inheriting some money from someone- although I haven't met the person yet. I usualy attract people who want to help me financially. A lot of my past lovers spoiled me rotten (finacially)and I think if I really wanted to, I'd easily find a rich person to seduce and have them leave an inheritance for me.lol. But money is not an end to itself; herein lies the rub. Money will serve as a means for the true nature of a person to emerge as well as the true nature of those around them. IP: Logged |
