Unless, shockingly so, being raped inspires one to pursue a career in porn - I can't see the connection.

*shrug*

Maybe she meant it can indicate a rapist - rather than a rape-victim.. perhaps a serial-rapist (if this title is equivalent to a career?)

Could it mean rape fantasy too? not actual rape, but attraction to that type of sexual fantasy?

Not sure, because a sexual fantasy is very different to actually wanting that to happen.
Apparently - in an unidentified survey that keeps being mentioned to me - a great majority of women have rape fantasies.

I am not particularly skeptical of this ^ but does anyone actually know who conducted this survey and where?

Anyway - astrologically I think Neptune is more relevant for fantasy.

:edit: hmm I found something on wikipedia - maybe they are referring to the college study in the "female fantasy" section. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_fantasy

I'm very sorry to hear that letram
I hope the guy was punished.

The other thing about rape is – in something like 70-80% of rape cases (depending on which survey in what area & year) – the victim is acquainted to the rapist.

Maybe the rapist/victim synastry would be more relevant.

Hmm transit Pluto + MC = sexual vibes added to our public image? But it doesn't seem very plausible, maybe would make more sense if it also aspects Venus and/or Mars. Even so, still not very plausible that Pluto on MC would indicate rape danger.

I'd rather think that Pluto on the MC would empower and/or transform our public persona or career. Pluto might also make us look at our public persona/career with different eyes (a kind of very deep and realistic approach).

Letram,

I'm very sorry your mother had to go through that horrific experience! I, too, hope the rapist was severely punished.

I have pluto conjunct MC and I've never been raped nor have I ever thought about raping anyone/having rape fantasies. I'm not really sure what pluto conjunct MC is supposed to mean. So far, it looks like people have a strong reaction to my appearance.

never heard this one. An overwhelming amount of people raped have mars-pluto in natal and/or aspect. The aspect is very bad. I've looked at a lot of charts of people who were killed and a crazy amount of them had mars-pluto aspect in transit at the time of the violent incident.

Mars/saturn mars/uranus are also possible indicators of rape and violence.

I suspect a transit of pluto/saturn pluto/uranus could also indicate violence.

For the record: I have never had a rape fanstasy.

Pluto on MC will translate as:

A link combining whatever house Scorpio is on, and its ruler, showing through the MC.

Say, MC of Libra....Capricorn rises with Scorpio on 11th. Can simply mean you have powerful (Scorpio) friends (11th) who play a part in your public image (MC)

Or insert related words. Sex is a Pluto word, linked to an 11th house theme, and involved with public, should give you some options.

Hey Astra, get used to the reactions, you've an angular Pluto, so you're a Plutonian!

And about rape fantasies, arent they actually a fantasy of someone (male/female) not having to be held accountable for their sexuality, so thus they are forced and don't have to accept any responsibility for their own sexual pleasure/power, still retain their innocence in the midst of being in the act. I'm speaking of the fantasy, not an actual rape here. I believe anyway that thats why its so common.

Hmm, oh and I have a triple whammy Mars conjunct Saturn conjunct Pluto. And no rape or violence, here. I actually have a lot of chart indicators for that, definitely surpassing the standard chart interpretation "Rule of 3" - which is astrologically somewhat strange. [edit: but i guess i could still be murdered ]

Lonake,

Hehe. Yeah, I've gotten used to it, but it can be unnerving at times. I have mars trine pluto in my chart as well, so I hope this doesn't increase my chances of being raped...

Well by itself it's definitely an ideal aspect in being able to access and implement your personal power. When you have that i personally believe chances of rape are slim to none, but thats my personal bias aside from astrology no offense.

The rapist is Pluto-energy tho so the OP is on the right track, but spec. conj the MC, not necessarily..Pluto H10 can also symbolize the father as Plutonian, such as abandonment of the child, etc. that seems to be somewhat closer to a more typical interp. But if they were going off of just an angular Pluto as being a possible factor, then yes then i'd agree, but it shouldnt be the only one, the astrologer shouldnt make that statement if nothing else points to it I mean.

i know some ppl who are turned on by rape fantasies and they have mars trine pluto

Diana -

quote:
An overwhelming amount of people raped have mars-pluto in natal and/or aspect. The aspect is very bad.

And another overwhelming amount of people would have this aspect by transit or in their chart - and never get raped. An aspect can play out in several ways.

quote:
I've looked at a lot of charts of people who were killed and a crazy amount of them had mars-pluto aspect in transit at the time of the violent incident.

Again - I am positive that if you looked up the birthdays of these victims - on a social networking site, you would find dozens of other people with the same mars placement who had undergone the same transit (or who have the particular mars/pluto aspect in their natal) - and were not murdered.
I just don't think one aspect is enough to account for something this serious.

no mars pluto in my mums chart.

its part of a conjunction stellium in the 1st house, wide conjunct venus and uranus.

no hard aspects to the chart else where besides the conjunctions.

saturn in the 8th? (pluto/mc connection?)

when is the line crossed between astrology, and just what happens?

What about for example, the two men shot and murdered in my city by one man, they most likely didn't have the same charts there for, not same transits.
