All this negative 12th house stuff is a bunch of fear-based negative nonsense.I'm learning to see that all the 12th house stuff about doom and gloom is a matter of perspective. Venus in 12th prone to affairs - pppfffft! venus in 12th great for doing art behind the scenes. I know someone who is a 12th house venus and a very successful freelance designer. My own venus is a few degrees from the 12th (in the 11th and I think it's in a good place.) mercury in 12th - miscommunication, being misunderstood pppfffft! great for writing impactful stuff behind the scenes , deep meaningful thoughts, meditation, reflection... My mercury is conjunct my sun and I must say I'm not a Gem but have the gift of communicating through the arts and hidden interests in the intellectual. Sun in 12th - depression, loneliness, suicidal. pppffft! I like my alone time. I can travel anywhere and be comfortable being by myself, I'm reflective, meditative, spiritual, my life's work is behind the scenes so I do well in art and avoid the limelight (though I am a Leo rising so I don't mind if you realize how competent and talented I am.) Lonely - I must admit this does happen frequently and it occasionally lead to being depressed. I'm trying to learn to deal with living this life alone. I'm 46 not married - I have tons of freedom, but still need to learn to balance my interactions with other people and my solitary nature.

I agree with Kat, the doom & gloom, all a matter of perspective. Although it does take getting used to before your able to understand & embrace it's potential.I have a 12H Sun squared by Neptune. I get premonition dreams especially regarding major life turning points. Lived a very solitary life, all my life...used to be pretty manic depressive since childhood. As a young adult, I now realize it was all for a reason...self mastery--before I could help others. IP: Logged |

Yes of course, it is generalization, and I was just speaking of the one person I knew, his sun/moon/venus/asc were all in Libra. So, no disprespect intended. Ami Ann- I recently read in another post of your seriousness of your issues with "M", I am assuming you meant your Mom. I apologize if my reply to you sounded flip, I had no idea of what was going on by what you wrote here, I am so sorry for what you have been through..

also in Synastry, has anyone had any experience with your natal pluto falling in the other person's 12th house? How much of an effect do you have on them?IP: Logged |

The first time I'd ever heard of 12th house associated with all the doom and gloom and cheating, etc, was when I joined this site. I've always associated the 12th house with spirituality and intuition, connection to spirit, unity with creation, etc.IP: Logged |
