That's up for debate. Some astrologers would count anything at the end of a house as being in the next. I have a book on houses and the author (forget who at the moment) who views houses as points rather than spans of degrees. So in your case, he would count it as in your 10th... and I guess even more so because it's the MC.It gets even trickier because different house systems will put planets in other houses anyway. There is no co-ruler of the house, a cusp is a cusp. There is a difference, however, in house systems, for example Placidus, Koch, Equal, etc. Choosing a different -house system- would in many cases change at least one sign on a cusp. Different astrologers like different house systems, you have to choose the one that works for you and stick with it. Choosing one that works for you is dependent on looking at many many charts, and using all the systems and seeing which one TO YOU makes sense since it will be your intuitive capabilities that youll use to interpret youll need a good tool (the tool being your favored house system). ~L EDIT: Regarding your thoughts about Gemini in that house, if Gemini is not on a cusp exactly then it is intercepted. So is its opposing sign, Sagittarius. There's some literature on the 'net about INTERCEPTED SIGNS you might want to read up on. OR you may prefer the Equal house system, which uses the same degree (that of the ASC) on every single cusp, and uses every single sign, so if you have 15 Aquarius rising, your 2nd house is 15 Pisces, 3rd house is 15 Aries, etc. It's uniform. It could work for up to 5 degrees, yes. But some prefer 3. This is regarding your Sun having any influence on H10. But natally it is in H9, of course this is depending on which system youre using. For 5 degrees I would interpret it as gaining momentum for moving into the next house. You're quickly embarking on activities related to H9 so that you can apply them to H10. When you were about 5 your progressed Sun went to conj the MC so you were likely a more strong willed and ambitious Cancer when you were breaking away from the family and forging your own identity. The houses represent areas of the self. The different planets are the emotions or characteristics and the constellations are the archetypes. The degrees is how far away you are or where you are at in respects to all of these things.IP: Logged |

Ok - I just lost my post, great! lolLeaping - I wasn't sure if you were clear on your question on the first page. One can say "my moon aspects my saturn" OR "my saturn aspects my moon" interchangeably. It makes no difference whatsoever. Whether the aspect is applying or separating.. ^ You can still say BOTH things! "my moon aspects saturn *and* this is an applying - or separating - aspect" or "my saturn aspects my moon *and* this is an applying - or separating - aspect" _______________________
Lonake - I do think applying aspects are strongly felt by *both* people.. whilst separating aspects can be less felt. Leaping - Pluto is now at 4 degrees in Capricorn. Pluto takes years to transit a sign. The Moon takes a couple of days to transit a sign. When the Moon transits Capricorn (one of these days).. It will conjunct Pluto. When the Moon will be at 1 deg in Capricorn - it will be *approaching* Pluto.. so this is an applying aspect. When the Moon will be at 2 degrees in Capricorn it will STILL approaching. At 3 degrees in Capricorn it will STILL be approaching. At 4 degrees it will finally reach Pluto, and the aspect will become *exact*.. (no longer "applying") At 5 degrees the Moon will move away from Pluto (the aspect is separating) At 6 degrees it will keep moving away (the aspect is STILL separating) - and so on.. IP: Logged |

Gypsee - Here is a Sun - DC conjunction.
The DC line is the line I drew a RED arrow on. I circled the DC and its degree which is 1'53 in Pisces. The Sun is at 2'38 in Pisces (also circled). They are conjunct. IP: Logged |

About planets in houses or conjunct house cusp, I only have this one, somewhat rhetorical question...If in reality, houses move forward (counter-clockwise), which gives the illusion that planets move backwards through the houses throughout the day, shouldn't a planet which is conjunct MC but in house 9, be interpreted as such, instead of being interpreted as a planet which gets ready to move into the next area of life since in reality it is moving towards the previous area of life? Hope that was clear enough... ------------------ Official Conor's Feeding Machine! IP: Logged |
