about Mars/Venus aspect, let's say opposItion -your Venus opposes their Mars ---this is how YOU view the aspect -their Mars opposes your Venus ---this is how THEY view the aspect. So: it's both,if your're Venus then your Venus will interact with their Martian nature, and their Mars will interact with your Venusian nature. the actual aspect, signs, houses will iron out everything else. but under no circumstance can you experience someone else's planet as your own, it's not. the only subtle exception is when the aspect is "double whammy" [say, your venus opposes their mars and their venus opposes your mars] then you're both experiencing the same aspect and will react in a similar energy pattern but not exactly the same as the signs/houses will be different in each opposition. make sense, or no?~L IP: Logged |

you're as cute as the real lemur!! haha, too cute.you could say either. in a natal there's no difference. but, there's something called applying and separating aspects, a way of distinguishing them, if youre trying to get at that? with applying vs. separating, now youre looking at which one moves faster. moon is faster than saturn: moon @ 17 deg cancer, saturn @ 18 degrees cancer. the moon is applying to saturn in a conjunction. moon @ 17 cancer, saturn @ 16 degrees cancer. the moon is separating from saturn in a conjunction. the difference is: applying aspects typically hold more weight, they can be seen as the dramatics as this energy is just getting stronger and stronger until it makes the exact aspect. in terms of karmic astrology, this is an aspect that needs attention, now. this is a relatively new energy that needs a lot of focus. separating aspects have a feeling like 'i think ive been here before, all this feels very familiar' - again with karmic astrology their energy is something that's been "done" and is now in a mode of tying together loose ends. you can think of them similar to a scale as the degrees: 0-5 degrees of any sign = new energy that is thrown into your lap and you dont know what to make of it and you get 10 million chances to make it work for you, it's a bumpy ride. this is akin to applying aspects. with applying aspects the energy is free range seemingly out of your hands and you have to work to grasp it, to figure out what it's made of. 25-29 degrees of any sign = this is energy that is "old hat" - you can do this sign, this planet, whatever planet is in very late degrees is something you hardly even have to think about, the nature is so ingrained that it just pours out. this tying up loose ends is similar to separating aspects. the energy is very alike. ok, more sense? well, it's not used often at all, honestly. actually i've never heard of that being applied to synastry, ever. hopefully someone has tried it, because i can't wrap my brain around it,so the new question is: have you heard of/implemented applying & separating aspects in synastry, and if so, then how? Yes I guess it is, I remember reading this somewhere; applying aspects are more promising or something. I would have to refresh my memory, but it makes sense no? IP: Logged |

um because it's your venus aspecting their saturn or whatever...planets have to aspect one another, that is what synastry is. so if we have a synastry chart say the moon in one chart is 10 libra and the uranus in the other chart is 10 aries we have a moon opposition uranus aspect in the synastry, we know who it belongs to because of the individual birth charts. am i answering your question here? ^^^ lolthe applying planet would be the moon, since uranus goes wayyy slower but only if the moon doesn't go past 10 degrees, if it did then it would be a separating aspect. IP: Logged |

Don't feel bad Leaping, I don't get it either! This is why I never, or hardly ever ask for synastry readings, cos, when they tell me, "well, his Sun is sitting right on your DC," I can't picture this. I am a visual person!! I cannot do math, and I do not posess logic! IP: Logged |

well actually it doesnt take much logic to understand how someones sun is sitting on your DC.it just means their sun is conjunct/in the same sign & by orb to your seventh house cusp. IP: Logged |

If you look at a synastry chart you can see that their Sun is literally right next to your DSC. If you look at raspberri's "one sided attraction" post, you can see in the synastry chart how the outside person's Sun/Valentine conjunction is "sitting" on the inside person's DSC. IP: Logged |
