I just wonder what astrological influence in a woman's chart would show that. I would be in the cougar age bracket right now and could not imagine going after fresh young meat. Somebody pointed out to me, just look at young men as CANDY......I'm thinking geeeeeesssssshhhhhhhh I'm the type that has always gone for older men. Younger just doesn't seem attractive to me.

It just blows me away just how fast time passes....when I was a teen these young folks were just being born and now they are all grown up....My 20s seem so far away and now things have changed....no offense.......people are cool these days

I think I've been watching Hedley's video Don't Talk To Strangers too much on tv and it has seeped into my mind.......

You rang?

I don't know what the aspects are, but I can tell you that it is a completely individualized thing. Like, I never woke up one day, and said, "I think I'll go find a boy toy!" I just met someone that I clicked with, and age seemed irrelevant.

But after three years, it seems relevant now. I don't know how these things hold up in the long run. I guess one needs to be very self confident, because all I could think about is that I would get older, quick, and he would be just getting into his thirties, and wake up one morning and realize that he may want kids and all that stuff.

I think it actually helped me to decide to cut it off. He deserves to have kids and all that one day, and I deserve to have a little more stability. So, I am talking to someone 3 years older than me now. It's a huge difference. I used to have to explain certain cultural references to TV shows and music, it was a bit draining.

This one knows exactly what I am talking about, so communication is easier.

But, having said that, I have no problem with it. Be happy, however you can. That's what I think.

I've read before that Gemini Moons are attracted to younger partners.

I think it's true, cuz 2 of my gf's are Gem Moons and they've never dated anyone older than them before. The younger guys they go for arent 1-3yrs younger either...they're usually 4-8yrs younger.

It is the masculinization of the woman that you are seeing take shape. It showed itself in the beginning with the cases of women teachers who were caught having sex with their students. Everyone thought, "hmm, I thought this was a male teacher female student type thing, thats weird"!
Women are becoming more and more predatory in their thinking as they are becoming more like men and shedding off the old "hot woman who stays in the kitchen" skin. Women are ready to "flex their muscles" and show the world that they are more than what men wrote about them in ancient books. The time for men looking at women and just thinking "Oh shes hot" or "Oh shes not" is over. The roles are being reversed. Women are taking leadership and eventhough I am a man, I love it.

The cougar thing has been going on forever. It's not 'new'. Just that now it's got a market. A place to belong.
Women are not more predatory now. They have always BEEN so (if that's how you want to call it)...just more attention focused on it now. And it's somehow more socially acceptable.
The societal influence makes expression of this side ok,so more women are exploring it.
It's been going on forever tho LOL.

Aries moon, Scorpio Venus/Dsc/Mercury conj Pluto.
Oh yeah, I like 'em young when I am single.
LOL. Since I have hit 30 I enjoy men even more. My sex drive is alive. More alive. And younger men are awesome because they can go for hours, like the energizer bunny.
Most of the time anyway

Virgomask, yeah it existed and women did it but now it is being popularized with shiz like "Dirty Housewives" or whatever that show is called. It is trying to be implemented on a grand scale now.

Yeah, I agree, S. It's all about making it popular. It's kind of LAME, imo. And desperate.

Now it's trendy
And cliche.
Just like its opposite.
But if it's love, so wat.
It's just not marketed (trendy!) as REAL.

Std. markers for age difference are ascribed to those with strong very youthful (say leo, gemini, etc.) or very mature (capricorn, maybe scorpio) chart factors. This goes for looks and partnerships.

Nopes. More than just the Sun sign. Sun sign by itself wouldn't be a strong enough factor

I did put down "What astrological influences" in a chart......be it planet placements, transits, progressions, solar returns etc....

I have a capricorn influence in my chart and so I go for older men. It's older men (by around 1 to 8 years older than me) that show interest.

What would be the term used for men who go after young 20 something ladies? I know with Charlie Chaplin, he had wives that were many years younger than him. I think he had Venus Conj Mars in the 7th house. Aries with a Scorpio moon...

I can't think of a female equivalent to Chaplin though.

It's all about power. Women have the sexual freedom now to be able to be open about pursuing a younger man. I find the teacher/student, expert/novice scenario to be VERY erotic. I'm pretty young myself, but I find the idea of seducing an inexperienced and eager young man to be very sexy. Me and my (older)boyfriend have definitely role-played with that. Who hasn't??

Traditionally, Mercury in 7th has been connected to a younger partner. Saturn in 7th to an older partner. Not saying I go with that 100% just noting for comment.

How about some basic generalization influences like:
Jupiter in Gemini likes to stay young at heart
The Capricorn tendency to parent in relationships
Librans like to bridge the age gaps in relationships
Saturn opposed Saturn/ teacher-student
Cancerian's like the security and provisions of sugar daddy's/momma's
The Twin Soul Theory - coming together at long last to serve humanity, regardless of Earthly age illusions.

How can one truly know for certain?

..."And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

I'm Cappy Moon, and for me it really depends on the person...but in general I do like men around 10yrs older than me. Infact to be more accurate, I like serious men. Although recently, I have felt some attraction to someone 6yrs younger despite age.

One of my good friends has a Gem Moon and she's only attracted to older guys. I mean, not TOO old, but when she was 19 she dated 25 year olds and so on. Her current boyfriend is 27 and she's 22. She likes them because they tend to be more responsible and motivate her to be responsible.

I have a Libra Moon with Sag on the DSC, and Saturn and Uranus conjunct it and older guys aren't that particularly appealing. I mean, I don't really care so long as they're cute. Generally I stick to my age range. Right now I'm dating the youngest I've ever gone and he's 20 (I'm 22).

I suppose younger means easier to train em how you want them to be...My boyfriend is the same age as me but sexually I'm far advanced then him by a long shot.

so a cougar is a predatory female? especially of younger men?

LOL cpn, "old fart?" you mean a couple of years older than you? from my vantage point you two are about the same age!!

funnily when i was younger(13 the first time, 28 the last) i always fell for 19-yr olds(tho some of them got older before it was over)!! [apart from keef that is]...as i hit 40 and didn't drop dead on the spot i started to see older men who were interesting...and though i might find a young man attractive now i am not INTERESTED in terms of "doing" anything about it. i appreciate the beauty and youthful energy and all that, but prefer a more seasoned temperament and mind...

still i am open to changing my preferences for the right individuals...

I never "go after" men but it is ridiculous how many young men show interest in me. And I don't mean that ALL men show interest. I mean that the majority of the men who show interest are so much younger. I have been with a couple guys who were 5-7 years younger but I cringe at the term "cougar" since I do not generally pursue these men, but simply give in to the relationship that obviously feels "meant to be" at that time. I have considered it over the years because my Cap moon and AC really want someone mature and dependable, and I spend a lot of time explaining to men why I claim they are "too young for me". I have decided it is that the younger generation of Pluto in Libra males always hit my Venus in Libra which in turn trines my Mars and Saturn.

Here is the music video Don't Talk to Strangers by Hedley.

Here is an insight to what a Cougar is.......

The lead singer is a Cancerian who may be looking for the "Mother" type.

I wonder what the astrological story says in this video -when she ties these guys up and brings out the knives.....but most Cougars, I would imagine are not that way at all.....

I laughed at the line "Maggie May showed her age..."
