Has anyone gone that route? it'd be read much like depositors in a natal chart but can it be read also in synastry? so for ex: partner 1. has libra on the ascendant.. partner 2. has venus in partner. 1's fifth house of aquarius.. can that be read? anybody wanna give it a go? IP: Logged |

Dunno. Doubt it. But the dispositors of the natals themselves are important in synastry, so you could look at how your final dispositor(s) match with those of a love interest, etc.IP: Logged |

Dear Lonake I have asked this question on another thread--so forgive me but I am trying to understand despositers. Ok---you can look at each house with a planet in it----Say I have Sun in the 8th house in Gemini. The Eighth house is a Scorpio house so Pluto is it's ruler. So,Pluto would be the despositer of my sun. So, I would look and see Pluto conjunct my MC. Then, what would be the next step? Thanks so much!!! Ami

ami, you'd do depositors based on the sign that is in that house not the sign that normally rules it.. so you'd use mercury.. though it'd have the undertone of pluto in a very.. odd... way... ykno, ive had like three cups of coffee and for some reason im starting to feel funny.. im not even sure im thinking straight today i think i'll give this another go later.. but yea... mercury... THANK YOU Duke!. I had it wrong. OK---If I have a Gemini Sun, and Mercury in the 8th house---Mercury is the dispositor of the 8th house ---Right? Is that how I would phrase it? Then --do I see what aspects Mercury makes? Then--what can I conclude? I MASSIVELY appreciate this ,Duke.Mercury conjuncts Sun ---7 degrees Mercury bi Quintile(I think that is the symbol) Saturn --1 degree Mercury Trine Neptune--3 degrees Mercury sextile Pluto---3 degrees Mercury oppose True Node Mercury Quintile(not sure what the symbol it. It looks like an oval) MC--1 degree IP: Logged |

glad i could help ami.. the depositors help get more of a feel for things. you;d have say for instance, your sun, which would be (example) in pisces, and a neptune in aquarius.. so well, one would be intuitive in a pisces sense but they'd do it in an aquarian way.. so they may know when a thunderstorm is coming or may pick up people's emotion through the internet.. stuff like that.. picking up thunderstorms isn't the best example but hopefully, you kinda get the drift.IP: Logged |

I think I have part of it and I thank you very much ((Duke))) For me My Ascendent is Scorpio---So Pluto would be the chart ruler My Venus, Mercury and Sun are in Gemini so Mercury is the dispositer of my Sun, Merc and Venus My Uranus is in Cancer--so the moon would be the dispositer of Uranus and so forthIP: Logged |

OKMy Mercury is in Gemini. It's dispositer is Mercury. It is in the 8th house so has Plutoian/Scorpio overtones. Got that so far Right? IP: Logged |

I think that is right so I will go on to the next part.OK So now I see WHAT Mercury is doing. It has a good trine to Neptune and a sextile to Pluto. SO ---What would be my next step in interpretation. PS You can tell me to take a walk at any time

How'd you get to be so fiesty, it feels like Scorpio's "charm"......OK, Just for our dear Ami, 1. astro.com go to free horoscopes 2. extended chart selection 3. 3rd group option "Pullen/astrolog" 4. select "sign/house dispositor graph" you'll get something like this, OK, see the circled planets those are the dispositors. The left is for the planets based on rulerships. The right is for the houses based on natural house rulerships, not the sign on the cusp. Read the charts from the bottom up, and you'll see that in the on the left Venus and Saturn take over the whole chart, every planet in expression will ultimately end up back at Venus in mutual reception with Saturn. In this chart it's important that Venus and Saturn stay in good working order because if they start to get out of hand, it will start to throw off the chart and the energies will not be working as well as they could. Think of it like a drain being clogged. You have Mercury dignified 'at home' in Gemini, so it'll be circled on your graph. It's important to look at aspects of dignifed planets to make sure they stay in good working order, since they're more their own network, if you will. The house graphic is read from the bottom up, you see Uranus n Neptune at the bottom both leading up to the Sun, in this chart Uranus and Neptune are in house 5, which is naturally ruled by the Sun, note that here we're not paying attention to the sign on the cusp. And the chain goes on until it ends at the top, there are 2 planets there. This is because Venus is in one of Mercury's houses and Mercury is in one of Venus's houses. Do you think that Mercury and Venus in this chart have special relationship even if they're not in aspect? Yes they do since they're related by house dispositorship. Some charts have 1 final dispositor, if there's a mutual reception it's likely that that those 2 will be the final dispositors. Traditionally if there's more than 2, there is no 'real' final dispositor, I think mutual reception like this one is counted since the pair acts as one. Each chart is unique. That's why even if you have 4 dispositors, if they're dignified then its aspects become v. important in the chart since its energy can easily run away with itself; it thinks it owns the place.

Thank you (((Lonake)))))) Natural House rulerships would be Mars rules 1st house, Venus 2nd, Mercury 3rd etc. This is IRRESPECTIVE of the sign on the cusp. That is what you are saying----Right? I am OFF to study Dispositers.
