..Is kinda cool to play with, here is some of mine.

My Virgo Sun: 3 Degrees

"A young man tills the soil with a plough and a pair of oxen. As he ages, he enjoys watching the wheat ripening."

Simple and pragmatic character. Success can be achieved in agriculture or animal husbandry. Life is meaningful and happy, and old age unfolds in affluence and serenity. If the origins are modest, one is very likely to improve one's social status and purchase realties.

My Pisces Moon: 20 Degrees

"In the middle of the sea, a man is tossed about in a small boat without oars. On the shore, a beached whale attracts birds of prey."

Lazy, straightforward, and irascible character inclined to give orders rather than to roll up one's sleeves. If one has the willpower to overcome one's laziness, success can be achieved in fish cannery, the exploitation of salt marshes, or deep sea fishing. According to Manilius, a Roman astrologer of the 1st century AD, this degree highly favours the hunting, processing, and trade of big fishes such as whales, sharks, tuna, cod, and even mackerels.

Capricorn Rising: 3 Degrees

"A vestal protects the flame of her lamp. Above her, a sun, in the centre of which are two keys, shines its rays of fire."

Contemplative, solitary, and noble character. One achieves success and obtains a prominent position in education, law, or the arts. In any case, one becomes some sort of spiritual guide and champions the cause of justice. This degree indicates higher ideals and a strong probability of moral beauty.

Nice, it even comes with interps

Cancer Sun 25 degrees

"Meteors and shooting stars strike the night sky above a waterfall."

Generous, dreamy, and artistic character loathing daily routine and dull events. Like the meteor, one follows a personal and quite unusual path. Life is brilliant, and achievements are numerous, though irregular and non-lasting. If one reaches a top position, there is a danger that one is toppled from power. Nevertheless, there is nothing to worry about because a good star is constantly protecting the person influenced by this degree, and life is much happier than that of most people.

This is different from the Sabian symbol for this degree, but I can relate to some of it.

21° Capricorn Ascendant:

"Amid a lush landscape, a man works in his field with a plough pulled by a pair of oxen."

Hard-working, persistent, and realistic character endowed with intellectual and physical strength. Whether one is a self-made person or an heir, hard work enables to overcome any hurdle and brings about happiness and prosperity. All careers in agriculture, exploitation of the soil, forestry, or botany are very favoured.

I can work my ass off, and I do have a very green thumb (discovered that accidentally in the 7th grade), but I would never want to take up agriculture. I'll leave that to my farming relatives. LULZ.

6° Virgo Moon

"A poor woman steps aside as an arrogant and lavishly dressed lady walks towards a couple who is standing back-to-back."

Humble, generous, and passive character which, although not unsociable, behaves gawkily when dealing with other people, particularly with persons of the opposite gender. Marriage is an area which is fraught with problems. A nasty female who enjoys doing harm, just for the sake of it, may prove to have a devastating influence.

I do have alot of Bridget Jonesy Moments, I always chalked it up to the shocking accident prone clumsiness of my Mars Square Uranus.

I tried to look for books on Sabian Symbols in the libary but what I did find I did not entirely understand well.

I can relate to some of these, especially the either choosing to be lazy or work hard that appears in most of them.

Capricorn Sun 5 degrees:

"A man with a puppy on each shoulder carries a heart crowned with flames in his stretched out hand."

Devoted, selfless, and loyal character. One is totally wrapped up in one's sole passion, be it a romantic attachment or a higher expression of love implying self-sacrifice such as, for example, a daughter who attends to her widowed father, or the founder of a charity institution, etc. In any case, one's altruism receives public recognition. This degree warns against possible slanders.

Oooh, this one is fascinating:

Moon in Virgo 29 degrees:

"A man stands by a window with his head covered with a veil which prevents him from seeing the daylight. Another man expresses himself with his fingers in the deaf and dumb language."

Melancholic, eccentric, and secretive character. One is attracted to occultism, and mysteries in general, and enjoys studying in the solitude of the night. One may be affected by a mental disease or a head injury. Unless one is very careful in one's studies, one may end up in a state of mental chaos and confusion.

Hmmm...my chart ruler Mercury in Sag at 17 degrees:

"A weird man brandishes a torch in one hand and holds an owl in the other, beside an odd woman with entangled hair and wearing a mask."

This degree describes a wise person with mastery in occultism and deep knowledge of life mysteries. However, it may also indicate an eccentric, imbalanced and manipulative person and, should the natal chart concur, the danger of some mental disease.

My Ascendant at 2 degrees Gemini:

"By a waterfall, a troubadour plays the lyre while his companion listens."

Carefree, passionate, and whimsical character endowed with great artistic gifts. Success and fame can be achieved in any artistic discipline. Depending on the natal chart, one wastes one's talents or on the contrary, carefully cultivates them.

My 1st house Saturn in Gemini 15 degrees:

"In a forest, a woman carries a bunch of wood on her back. She seems to look for something on the ground and does not notice the two-headed man who follows her."

Inventive, fickle, and restless character. One is often overwhelmed by the constant stream of ideas which, as good as they are, need be sorted out, lest they are not appreciated at their real value. This would be a pity because this degree brings good luck and promises fame, wealth and happiness.

Apparently my Jupiter is lucky at 16 Capricorn:

"A king in ceremonial costume is greeted by a courtier who bows down in reverence."

Obliging, persistent, and provident character. Owing to one's human qualities and professional skills, one is entrusted with a high-level position, or one earns an electoral mandate. It is also possible that one meets a person wielding power who grants his protection and brings about wealth.

Uranus at 22 Libra:

"A mature man wearing a scholar's gown and headgear works in his laboratory amid retorts, an earth globe and precision tools."

Gentle, sincere, and wise character endowed with sharp intellectual capacities and a strong interest in science and the arts. Intellectual pursuits, particularly scientific research, are very favoured and lead to brilliant success and fame. If in the natal chart, the Midheaven is on this degree with the Sun or the Moon, this indicates that exceptional honours and high dignities can be expected, even though one is of humble origins.

My MC at 13 degrees Aquarius:

"A man stands in front of a broken bridge and a raging torrent."

Courageous, wise, and helpful character. One is used to stand up for oneself since childhood, and one has thus developed great resourcefulness and self-sufficiency. Owing to one's wisdom, one attracts many genuine friends. This degree indicates a possible accident affecting the limbs and limiting the mobility, or a reversal of fortune caused by unpredictable phenomena such as flood, earthquake, or war. In such extreme circumstances, wealthy and grateful friends prove reliable and readily offer their support.

Wow, cool find, Cheshire

I did mine for a few:

(rounded off to) 22 degrees Virgo :

"A beautiful ship in full sail glides through the sea."

Adventurous, carefree, and humble character. One is always in quest for new experiences and new sensations full of romanticism and dangers. Because of one's marriage, one may have to travel to foreign countries. Success can be achieved in the arts, in literature, or in the representation of one's country abroad, especially if in the natal chart, several natal planets are posited in mutable signs. If Saturn is prominent, protections granted by powerful figures do not produce all the expected outcomes, and public recognition comes late. Furthermore, one is not the pushy type and prefers to have one's talents revealed by others. According to Manilius, a poet and astrologer of the 1st century of the Christian era, this degree describes beauty, great eloquence, witty repartees, artistic gifts, and outstanding authors and teachers.

Moon @ 19 degrees Aries :

"An armed man in uniform is all set up for a difficult trip."
Cautious, intelligent, and adventurous character. One is action-oriented and fond of discoveries and travels. Before embarking upon any new venture, one thoroughly assesses its potential difficulties and equips oneself accordingly. Success is obtained in pioneering projects involving foreign countries, exploration of unknown territories, science, and raw materials such as ore or petroleum. One is very likely to be rewarded for a major discovery in one of these fields

Some of this is really creepily accurate lol. There's a recurring theme about adventure and travel...which is verrrry true. Not sure about the explorations about petroleum (LOL?!!) but for the most part it's really quite telling!

If that's the case, then this is my 21 degree sun instead:

"A half-naked woman wearing a crown of flowers on her tousled hair dances in a garden and bends over a fish pond to admire her reflection in the water. Nearby, a courtesan plays with a billy goat."

Sensual, superficial and lazy character. One is very influenced by flattery and therefore, easy to swindle. Unless one strongly resists one's instincts, relationships with persons of the opposite gender are the cause of disgrace and dishonour. However, should the natal chart concur, true love or genuine artistic talents offer a good outlet for wild tendencies towards debauchery, and bring about success and fame. This degree is highlighted by the constellation “Berenice's Hair” and endows with personal charm, refined and friendly manners, and performing skills. It sometimes causes eye problems or baldness.

I guess I can kind of relate to that. Except for the baldness part. I have amazingly full hair
I can totally relate to the courtesan playing with the billy goat part. That's so me

My Ascendant
13 Virgo
"A man drills a rock with a pick while an ox pulls a heavy tree trunk."
Practical, honest, and unambitious character. Intellectual abilities are of average level and focused on down to earth matters. Life is devoted to a hard work which is not very profitable, and one has no desire to outshine others or to get a preferment. Indeed, one prefers to follow the same old path as one's predecessors. This degree indicates a risk of accidents or of losing a limb.

I am not of average intelligence. the other stuff that I can see. as for unambitious, ummm...forming a nonprofit neurodiversity organization wouldn't fit that. I hope the bad stuff never happens to me.

also as for accidents, the heliocentric Uranus nodes are in 13 Gemini/Sagittarius,and they square my Ascendant.

Sun
5 Scorpio
"A nice and well-maintained garden. An uncultivated field with a donkey kicking."
The garden symbolises a humble, nice, and conscientious character. Attention to detail and persistence bring about success and notoriety in natural sciences, botany, or horticulture. One may give one's name to a new species of flower or fruit. The donkey warns against stubbornness, laziness, and whimsical behaviour. A strong Mercury in the natal chart offsets the danger of violence and ruin heralded by this degree.

Paying attention to detail is not a strength of mine. I had trouble in navy bootcamp because of my problems with paying attention to detail. I have dislike for natural sciences too.
some of it seems like based on that tropical sign degree located in the constellation of Virgo.

as for the violence and ruin, the author didn't know that the heliocentric South Eris Node is in the same degree because Eris wasn't discovered until 2005. Many astrologers don't even pay attention to nodes of objects besides the moon.

Moon
3 Pisces
"In a small chapel adorned with a cross, a prayer book is open. On the nearby table, there are a cello, a flute, a hammer, a carpenter plane, a microscope, and medicinal herbs."
Reflective, benevolent, and inventive character endowed with gifts for occultism. One is a loner and works best in the silence and the calm of secluded places. Success and wealth can be achieved in a host of disciplines, among which, religion, philosophy, the arts, the craft industry, natural healing, research, etc. The natal chart shows which occupation is most suitable.

Yeah...I can see that about me.
I am suspicious. It seems that most of the description is based on Alpha Piscis Austrinus star, Fomalhaut which is located in the same degree range. It's a royal star that is known as the Star of Alchemy, associated with mystical, spiritual, fame, and success. Ebertin says that it's a star said to have a Mercury-Venus-Neptune influence. Alpha Aquarius star,Sadalmelik is also in the same degree. success in the occult is one of its meanings. Both stars conjunct my Moon.

Mercury
18 Scorpio
"People are gathered around a buffet offering a wide array of nice food and drinks. A stylus and a riding crop are lain on a corner of the table."
Paradoxical character, at the same time combative and passive, benevolent and quarrelsome, bold and careful. The efforts put in with a view to achieving success benefit from the protection of powerful people to whom one is loyal. This degree may also indicate a strong appetite and overweight problems.

The Heliocentric South Mars Node and Beta Libra Star, Zuben Elschamali are located in the same degree. Both conjunct my Mercury. The Heliocentric South Mars Node can easily account for the combative, bold quarrelsome nature. Zuben Elschamali is a star that is said to be the combination of Mercury,Mars, and Jupiter.

I also have Mercury conjunct/parallel Venus and even sextile Geocentric South Venus Node. Those are reasons why I can relate to this degree.

Venus
21 Scorpio
"The water of a cataract bounces from one rock to another before disappearing in the sand."
Impulsive, nervous, and unstable character. Reversal of fortune brings about a humble and ordinary life. If the natal chart indicates strong willpower, one is able to recover one's lost social status through hard work and sometimes, through a marriage.

Alpha Serpens star, Unukalhai is in the same degree. It is said to be a malefic star too that is associated with misfortune and insanity. It's star said to have a Mars-Saturn influence. It's one of those stars that you don't want conjuncting stuff in your chart. I happen to have the sucker conjunct my Venus with only 7 minutes of arc.

Midheaven
11 Gemini
"Two women weep as they look on a broken laurel tree and the new sprout growing at its foot."
Carefree, reasonable, and courageous character. The family belongs to the upper social layer. Owing to a reversal of fortune caused by greedy and ill-intentioned persons, one is forced to reduce one's lifestyle. In the face of adversity, one demonstrates philosophy and achieves one's projects with determination. This degree indicates romance followed by abandonment, premature widowhood, or the loss of a child.

My family doesn't belong to the upper social layer. I am not a carefree person. The romance stuff is depressing.

shrugs

I don't know about this stuff.
I like the Sabian Symbols better.

I used to know of one that interpreted them, but I haven't been able to find it recently.

I do like this 'alternative' that you posted though, I've tried it on various placements and I see two themes popping up that I can relate to.

I prefer this to the Sabian symbols. Those are pretty abstract. I guess they're interesting and poetic etc, but I find them kind of obscure. Sometimes I'm not in the mood for obscure.

I think I saw a listing of the sabian symbols on cafeastrology...

I have two books that interpret Sabian Symbols in depth

1. 360 DEGREES OF WISDOM by Lynda Hill

2. AN ASTROLOGICAL MANDALA: THE CYCLE OF TRANSFORMATIONS AND ITS 360 SYMBOLIC PHASES
by Dane Rudhyar

There is also the SABIAN ASPECT ORBS book by Robert Blaschke, but it only has 1 sentence interpretation.

The other 2 books go well in depth.

You might like Lynda's the best because she not only explains it. She even gives keywords that fit with the sabian symbols.

Nice find!

My sun -- conjunct MC

"A wealthy man in a lavish costume climbs the first steps of a staircase leading to a palace."
Calm, reliable, and fair character. One may have inherited a high social position or earned it through personal merits. In both cases, careers in politics, diplomacy, finance, or the transportation industry are very favoured. If in the natal chart, this degree is in conjunction with the Midheaven, it heralds exceptional honours. With the Imum Coeli, huge financial success through real estate or agricultural activities can be expected. However, if the natal chart indicates dishonesty, wealth is acquired through illegal means, including money laundering, embezzlement, and forgery of official documents.

My MC

Loyal, creative, and contemplative character endowed with poetic and artistic gifts. One enjoys the simple pleasures offered by nature and finds in its beauties an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Success can be achieved in any artistic discipline, in law, or in medicine. Should the natal chart concur, this degree indicates sojourns in the countryside or in the mountain for health reasons.

My mars

Simple, independent and fanciful character endowed with high intellectual capacities. One should focus on one's professional pursuit, which has every chance to be successful in law, religion, or mathematics. One must not listen to friends who urge to leave the path of serious work and indulge in idleness. This would be very detrimental to one's career, and after numerous setbacks, would lead to dire poverty. This degree sometimes indicates some family secret or a birth out of wedlock.

Noticed a theme of working in the law. Always wanted to become a lawyer.

This next one is my composite venus with someone. I am posting it because I thought it was just adorable.

"In a desert, a camel and a turtle progress side by side. Further down, the camel sits and lets the turtle climb on its back."

How cute is that?! The turtle is tired so the camel carries him/her...awwww.

And this is our mercury....same theme..

"A man rushes to rescue another man who clings to a wrecked boat sinking into the sea."

And our sun -- same theme again. These are not all the same sign either.

"A man courageously sets about rebuilding a half-ruined tower overlooking the sea, on which a wreck is floating."

I thought they were really cute.

Ok, so out of curiosity I did the comp sun of me and someone who hate each other. It totally fits!

"Two men fight one another with daggers. In the background, a Book of Law featuring a weighing scales and a gibbet is open."

LMAO!! It is true! The venus and the rest of the chart were dead on too. Damn weird is what it is!

My POF

The person influenced by this degree is meant to dominate others. Extreme circumstances put him/her in the highest positions, which is not devoid of danger. Although many disasters are experienced, one remains undisturbed and pursues the challenging path. This degree indicates that one belongs to a powerful and wealthy family. If of royal descent, and this degree is in conjunction with the Ascendant, this heralds that one will access the throne. If one is of modest origins, then, one enjoys the protection of the head of state or that of most prominent figures. There is also the possibility that one becomes the power behind the throne. In any case, one has real decision-making powers and becomes a leader in one's field, be it the arts, business, or politics.

muhahaha

Yay Cheshire Kat!

My Moon 13 Taures

"Measuring devices are tidily kept in a small carpenter shop. The door is wide open, but a strong man blocks the way with a long rod he holds across the entrance."

Humble, accommodating, and hardworking character. One appreciates well-done work and dedicates one's life to other people. Endeavours aiming at defending the cause of justice and fraternity are fully rewarded. The man with the rod symbolises a protection against hatred and negative forces. This degree endows with great moral authority and, at a higher level, gifts for occultism.

SUN LIBRA "A raptor, with blood dripping from its claws, flies in front of a triangle of fire which seems to be hung between heaven and earth."
Passionate, self-righteous, and determined character. Depending on the natal chart, one is symbolised by the bird of prey or the triangle. The former describes an aggressive and spiteful person who puts his intelligence at the service of base ambitions and does not hesitate to resort to cruel actions in order to defeat his opponents. There are dangers of severe injuries by fire and sword. As for the triangle, it indicates a strong interest in spirituality, religion, or sociology, but also some sort of over-assertiveness which borders on intolerance. In both cases, one must renounce all forms of excess and violence. Then, as one ages, one becomes able to help other people overcome psychological and moral crises.

MOON SAGI (THIS IS VERY MUCH ME)
"« In the middle of the sea, an old man on a raft leans on a stick."
Introverted, daring, and independent character. For some reason, one is estranged from parents during childhood. Loneliness has contributed to slowly develop willpower, resilience, and audacity. One achieves several remarkable feats of bravery, but success brings about foolhardiness, and after repeated risky undertakings resulting in failures and losses, the last part of life is marked by poverty.

venus libra (this rings true)
"A nice house with its door and windows wide open."
Quiet, hospitable, and endearing character always willing to help. One comes from a wealthy family, or one earns a fortune without great efforts. This degree describes a peace-loving person who acts as a mediator and takes it to heart to solve conflicts and alleviate deprived people's hardship.

mars scorpio 15deg
"On the seashore, birds of prey chase away a wolf which tries to get near a carcass."
Independent, scheming, and quarrelsome character. One does not hesitate to embark on dangerous adventures, which brings about in failure and ruin.

midheaven aquarius 21deg
"A furious bull tramples on a dog. A man examines a corpse."
Violent, excessive, and spiteful character. If one is able to control one's outbursts of fury, success can be attained in the military and in all occupations requiring physical strength, or in surgery and medical research. This degree warns against vengeful deeds because extreme brutality can only result in equally extreme disasters.
