My Leo ALWAYS takes my side and defends me, even when I'm wrong. He protects me no matter what. He has a virgo moon, which is supposed to be critical, but as far as his loved ones are concerned, he is pretty "blind" to their faults.

My Cancer ex (with Libra moon) was faithful in that he was always there for me when i needed him. On the other hand, he was less likely than my Leo to take "sides".

My other ex, who was a Pisces, was loyal to me (he declared his undying love for me and 100% devotion)... until things weren't so rosy anymore. Then, he stopped calling me without any explanation, hoping I would just disappear from his life. The more I hung on to him, the more slipped away.

Aries ~ friends untill the end, would go down in a sinking ship with you. The women. No comment on the men in the romance department, but they make great friends.

Cancer ~ I have had them in and out of my life. Nothing really major happens, it just seems we outgrow one another and move on.

Leo ~ See Aries. No experience with dating though.

Virgo ~ Every Virgo friend and/or lover I've ever had, I still have as a friend. I think they are very loyal people.

Libra ~ Other than my LL friends, the only Libra friend I have (other than acquaintances) I met in high school, and still talk to her every day. She is pretty darn loyal.

Scorpio ~ Loyal to the death. Will defend you to the death. TRUE.. but, this only if you have developed a very deep bond with them, which can sometimes take years.

Sagittarius ~ OK, see other fire signs. LOL.

Capricorn ~ hmm, I'de have to go with loyal there too. I've seen my cap girlfriend go bonkers when someone has said something disrespectful to me before.

Aquarius ~ Unfortunately, in my life, IN PERSON, the Aquas I've known have stabbed me in the back. I've forgiven them, only to have it done again.
Not the guys though, but, I haven't dated one, so this is strictly a friendship thing.

Aries with Capricorn Moon:
he seemed devoted to me, and i think he would have taken my side if we had ever been in the situation where i was defending myself.

Pisces with Taurus Moon:
fiona's description of her Pisces is exactly like mine. 'nuff said.

Taurus: so utterly sweet and loyal. Love them!

Gemini: loyal if they consider you a close friend. Otherwise, they won't defend you, though they won't backstab you either unless you anger them

Cancer: Sun in cancer is stable and appears loyal. I have a hard time reading them. Moon in cancer--> get backstabbed by them a lot; lacks honesty in my experience.

Leo: so lovable and fiercely loyal! They make awesome, entertaining friends. You can always count on them

Virgo: They're ok.

Libra: I know a few libras and they are loyal, though sometimes it may not seem that way since they tend to straddle the fence on issues

Scorpio: VERY loyal...at least the scorpio suns are.

Sagittarius: no comment

Capricorn: loyal, though they give out tough love

Aquarius: they're ok

Pisces: very sweet. Loyalty varies

It's a mixed bag, I'd say.
For every sun sign I know which has shown unbelievable loyalty, there's been one of the same sun which has shown amazing backstabbing skills as well as a lack of loyalty

Taurus - Loyal is practically their middle name. Once you're in with one, you're always in.

Gemini - More loyal than Sun sign astrology might make them seem.

Cancer - I think Cancers may sometimes be too manipulative for their own good. They want to be loyal, but when they're hurt they'll act disloyal to hurt you back.

Leo - I would say that they're pretty loyal.

Virgo - Loyal, but wrapped in a package that makes you wonder sometimes. Those critical moments hit, and you're left not knowing whether they're really being critical, or if it was just a passing thing.

Libra - I think they probably are, but I don't have a lot to comment about with them.

Scorpio - I find them disappointingly disloyal at times. You can be going along having a nice relationship, then in the blink of an eye they're offended at you, and it's all your fault, and you're left wondering, "Where's their loyalty to me and to our friendship? How did things change so suddenly? Wtf?". I've been dumbfounded by this on multiple occasions.

Sagittarius - Loyal, but distant. They don't mean to leave you, it's just something they've gotta do, and anytime you talk with them in the future you'll be right back where you left off.

Capricorn - Loyal, but I can't comment without considering myself, and I don't think I'm the most stereotypical version. I can't say I'd defend a loved one's position if I didn't agree with it. At most I'd serve them with my silence, and let them believe what they want.

Aqua - I think loyal, but I've heard female Aquas talk about how they pick fights with their loved ones not even necessarily having a point at the onset, but reaching one eventually. Not sure what that's about.

Pisces - Not sure. Not enough observation.

Not to say there are not any people in my life I can somewhat count on lol like some of my family and my closest friends but I usually don't count on them..until the shat as really hits the fan.X_X.

Over-generalizations are funnnnn!

BTW - all those 'typically' loyal signs have displayed the most appalling levels of disloyalty: Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, Cancer, Capricorn, Aries...oh, and Libra. But they're fickle anyway (ALL OF THEM!!!), so I guess it's no surprise

For me, it's been mostly Aqua and Leo as longest time friends. Are they the most loyal to me? I don't know, they're just the most present in my life, closely followed by Sagittarians.
I was raised by Aquas and have always been surrounded by them and my Jupiter is in the same sign.
Leos as well have figured prominently and have by turns been either very loyal or very disloyal. I've seen both ends of the spectrum with them.

Sagittarians have been friends of the more far away variety. We almost always get along, but we're hardly ever in the same place

So no, I do not think I can generalize even in that department because all their moons have been different too.

Cancer (with Gemini rising)

Scorpio (once I shunned his sexual advances)

Aquarius, long sad story

I have never been betrayed by a Virgo but I know people who have been.

Taurus is loyal and true to their word, but that doesn't mean they won't dissappoint you. They just tend to warn you before they do.

Aries is honest as the day is long, but like Taurus, they tend to warn you before they disappoint you.

Leo, hard to say, as I don't have many Leo freinds, but they are faithfull,and kind, but also somewhat self serving. But you tend to forgive them easily. It's hard to wish ill will on these folks. Maybe I'm biased?

I've tried to think back on patterns of disloyalty based on sun sign, but I really can't. I have known people born under just about every sun sign that have cheated on their partners. It's more about the venus and mars sign, or perhaps not even that. More to do with the environment that they grew up in and the values they learned as a child.

My ex is a Gemini and she cheated on me quite regularly, but my ex before her was a Cappy and he cheated on me as well too. Taurus is known for being loyal, but I have met Taureans that are just as promiscuous as any Gemini sun person.
