I don't know if it is a fire moon quality or a Sag moon, or maybe neither, but I am close to two, and I've noticed similarities, and one is that they seem to be oblivious to peoples emotions, what they do or say. I'm thinking it could be the Sag, but I was wondering if it is a fire, because fire and water don't mix and maybe it makes them insensitive to others? I've been around them, and it's not just the Saggyness of being outspoken, they don't notice how their actions are insensitive and hurt others. I have a Sag rising, and I notice how my outspokenness affects others, but I have my moon is Scorpio so maybe that's why.

Anyway, what you think?

It depends on each person. Water people are potentially much more sensitive than fire people, yet their sensitivity can be selfish too (sensitive to own's feelings only, self-victimizing, etc.), depending on the person in question.

I have Aries Moon, and I was selfish when I was young. But then I became more and more aware, and more and more careful and attentive to other people's needs and feelings as I grew up. But I am self-centered yes lol. Yet being self-centered doesn't necessarily mean being selfish - again, it just depends on each person.

I would think that Sags might have a tendency to be carefree, so maybe that's what can make them not attentive enough to what others feel?

But ah, fire people can be very simple sometimes, and they might rather expect/wait for other people to tell them directly how they feel lol.

I have a 12th house Aries moon. I'm hyper sensitive to people's moods and emotions - in fact, I am an empath. My Chiron also conjunct my moon.
With my fire moon, my emotions flare up quickly and then disperse. My emotions predominate everything with how intensely they flare up.
I also do really well in emergency situations.

Mine is in the 8th house, and I'm also good at getting people's feelings.

I'm joining your club lol. My emotions can be quite (often quickly) intense too. Just plug me with the right inspiration/music.

i too am an aries moon. the word selfish was thrown at me a lot when i was a kid. with my aqua sun, i guess i was bit blunt and aloof. i was never a brown nose, and i only did what i wanted to. i always wanted to be sincere. however, i recall being very sensitive and feeling it strongly when i was alone.

i've got moon square neptune, with neptune in the 12th house. and moon square jupiter and ascendant. i am very clairsentient. its overwhelming sometimes for myself and for others. so i keep it to myself most times.

sometimes, though, its not that i don't realize how my actions affect others, i just don't care aries have very little patience for coddling and weakness. i'm not always like that though. usually when i'm stressed and fed up with people's destructive behavior.

i have a bro who is a cancer sun, leo moon, sag rising. big fat stellium in the 8th house. he has very little tolerance for most people and things. the idea of a stranger talking to him? he thinks it is so rude and disrespectful. he's a lawyer too, so he is quite annoying to me! hmpf! he not only is oblivious to other peoples feelings, he is shocked that he could ever hurt them.

Yes, I can definitely see the self-victimizing in both of them, and one has a Cancer sun O_O

I love that you admit it lol Aries can't help it, they just naturally act based on their needs.

My daughter is a Pisces sun, with an Aries Moon, she is definetly not selfish. But she is sort of explosive. Lol. Not that it bothers me much, since I am fire sun and asc, but she is explosive when she feels accused unjustly, or if she has to explain her actions. She had to be in Anger Management in school.

My ex is a Sco sun with a Saggie Moon, he could be very selfish at times. But, one thing I really loved about him, was his devotion to the people he let into his world. He would not hear a bad word spoken about anyone he loved, and that is, I think, a combo of Sag/Sco.

His brother has a Cap sun, and an Aries Moon. Nobody gets along with him but me, because they all think he's VERY selfish, I think he's just insecure, about his weight and some other issues. He is just young though, and does some things without thinking. He is in jail at the moment, for his I don't know how many-eth (yes, I made that word up) D.U.I.
He has also had to be in Anger Management, for attacking his father.
I feel bad for him, because he feels SO HORRIBLY bad after he does these things, and really comes down harder on himself than anyone else could. He has a Virgo/Asc.

I don't believe in the Fire/Water no-no thing, btw. Just my opinion. I am always drawn mostly to water people, or people with heavy water.

Me too. Sometimes, I find more affinity with them and would run away from people who behaves purely fiery, coz I can be too sensitive and peace loving, that I need someone who can be gentle and empathetic (maybe due to many planets in the water houses plus lots of Neptune aspects and Pisces DC - my Aries side is not ram enough, it's a sheep lol).

So not true. I have a Sag moon (and Sag mercury) and I pay very close attention to how others feel. I am incredibly empathetic and I always sense people's emotion and feeling..

My mom, sister, and brother all have fire moons (aries, sag, leo, respectively) and the only one who seems to not care about others' emotions is my brother with Leo moon. arrogance, eh?

Selfish was used in a few sentences, and it stuck out at me.

OK, so, you want to know if I see people with Fire Moons as being INsensitive to other peoples emotions.
I guess on the whole, my answer would be no.

I would think that would apply more to an air moon (which I have, so I am not picking on anyone unjustly) only because I think an Air Moon would internalize alot of emotional goings on, and have to think about it, which would APPEAR insensitive.
Not necessarily that they are.
Like when things get "too crazy" all around me, I have to step back and just remove myself, and think it all over. Otherwise, the fire side would just blow up. But, this is something I learned with age. lol.

CrazyAquarian, do you mean fire Moons not noticing other people's feelings rather than about selfishness?

I guess that it depends too, it depends on how self-centered or lack of capacity to notice others' feelings a person is. Fire signs can go around and not really realize what's wrong until someone tells them lol, but then some fire people are more aware/empathetic and capable of noticing even the subtler things around.

some people might be like that because they are impulsive and tactless and don't think before they say things. Some people might just have problems understanding emotional social cues. Some people might be obsessive about something that they are doing or hyperfocusing to the point of not being aware of how others are feeling, and that could be connected to intensity.

A person can be emotionally overloaded to the point of being confused and be spaced out to the point that they can't deal with the onslaught of emotions from others.

none of that is necessarily being selfish

Ops, it was me who used the "selfish" word first lol but I've only used it to describe my past fire Moon self, and then I've used it to say self-centered =/= selfish (since I've mentioned that I'm self-centered, so I was afraid that it would be misunderstood). So I've misled everyone else by starting the "selfish" word chain. XP

My sister has an Aries Moon and she, for the most part, is very selfish and never considers other people's feelings- even with a Cancer Sun. And our father has an Sag Moon and he is very caring and empathetic...he does have a volatile temper that can flare up suddenly over the smallest things but he's quick to calm down.

TBH, I've only witnessed this Leo Moons I've come across. The Sag Moons I know are the complete opposite, and I don't know any aries moons so I can't comment on the them.
