Sooooo...

I have to say, anything with any planets in Aries, especially Sun & Moon (must have other supporting factors though), I become very close to and develop a tight bond.
They tend to look up to me for being independent and a fighter and a survivor.

When ppl try to guess my sun sign, half the time they pick Aries.

Not sure what the physical characteristics are for a Aries ASC but I do have a prominent nose and chin, high, sharp cheekbones with angular features. I get told I look like Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex & the City, and she's an Aries sun.

Like a typical Aries, I DO like the finer things in life and like quality in my stuff. I can come across as stuck up and snobby (Libra moon makes it worse but really, I'm just shy)

My AC ruler opposes neptune and I did have drug abuse issues, thanks to my 9th house drugs were about ripping open my 3rd eye to understand my pain. It did connect me with my higher self, as much as I hate to admit it but part of the journey was transcending that, which I did.

My AC ruler also trines Pluto, which is in my 7th house. My relationships and a few friendships are very Scorpionic like-Pluto like.

As for my AC ruler making harsh aspects to my AC & DC..not sure how that has demonstrated itself in my life. People either love me or hate me. I can come across the wrong way and can be really rude and obnoxious. It depends on the other person.

Belgz was amazing with the Solar Arc charts and I was sure she had it right at the time.. but - I realized a few things afterwards:

- if my AC is Gemini, then IC is Leo (mum's sun) and MC is Aquarius (dad's sun).

- I am very talkative - I could talk for hours. A friend was telling me this is not a Cancer AC trait.

- I thought I seemed cautious in a Capricorn way (my Moon).. and not so much a Cancer way. Too long to explain.

But I've spoken to Belgz about it again and she saw some more pics and she convinced me again that it is Cancer LOL She knows a Gemini AC man who was not talkative at all (It could be my Mercury square Uranus that makes me talkative).

lolsss OK let me think.. Aries should have a rather masculine vibe, maybe a bit of a tom-boy.. a love of clothing that looks masculine (army pants for example)..
BUT with Mars in Libra I think this is toned down for you. You actually look pretty feminine (although you seem fit in an aries-like way).. You were saying on the 'personal style' thread - that you like to wear summer dresses which is more Libran.. and it would give you a softer - venusian appearance.

Virgo .. hmm that is the house -- so perhaps your AC+Mars are most evident in a work-setting.

CRAAAAZY ideas and thoughts and I enjoy change and learning and bettering myself I am organised but disorganised at the same time and reaanlly love different things and people often describe me as quirky ... I enjoy helping others sort out their problems too and am studying to become a natural therapist
Unfortunately my ASC is in exact square with my Taurus sun so I have issues with self-expression and coming across sincerely (even though I am a very sincere person, my body gestures/actions/expressions don't mimic what I feel) and I am learning about self awareness to try and balce this. When people really get to know me, this aspect doesn't show itself as much, its more problematic in the i-know-you-but-i-am-getting-to-know-you-better stage
I also have MC in Scorpio conjunct mars so I have a T square Sun, ASC, Mars all very tight orbs and I think I come across as more aggressive than I actually am, actually I am either relaly passive or really forthright. (I am determined too) ..But when you first meet me (ASC) people warm to me fairly quickly but I am typical of Aqua rising and friendly, social tact and all that but keep the distance initially. I enjoy taurus delights that my sun sign would bring out but I need change .. uranus sits in my 10th house as well. I think natural therapies as a profession is exactly what I need to be doing as I really enjoy helping people (currently I am working in IT support)

If your Ascendant is in the early degrees of Cancer, then it belongs to the constellation of Gemini, and most probably your Sideral Ascendant is Gemini too. They can provide color to how you project yourself to others! For example, my Ascendant is at 2 Leo 02', and my Sideral Ascendant is Cancer, giving my Leo Ascendant a Cancer flavour.

Do any planets conjunct your Ascendant? Do Mercury or the ruler of your 3rd house make an aspect to your Cancer Ascendant? Are there any planets in the 3rd? Have you also considered these?

My AC is definitely Cancer!

I have Gemini traits but they come from my Mercury square Uranus - such as quick thinking and constant blabber lol

my ASC and sun are both in leo.

for me, it really depends, meeting new people, crowds, i am not loud, attention seeking, or 'sunny', including parties and other social events. i tend to stick to who i know, and be kinda reserved, wall flower.

i am however leoish to ones who know me, and despite that part of leo not stickig out too well, it does show some what when you approach me and get to know me, but not always.

all i can say is i met a girl one time and she seemed to have been intro astrology, i can't even remember how it got to this but she stated exactly : "you're not being very leo!" and was comparing me to her other leo friends.

my guess is other placements in m ychart, aspects to the ASC & its ruler maybe.

aswell as what astrology can't control.

i don't think Leo is necessarily always this loud extavagent sunny person when meeting people or in general, not always.

taht would be like profiling exactly how any other one sign might be, they vary.

my venus is in libra so yuou would expecct me to be quite out going and very open and all that, i relate to virgo more, my progressed sun is well into virgo, and i natally have mars in virgo with mercury.

just to save the extra post incase soem one wonders, i have moon trine my asc adn pluto square it, and my sun trines uranus.

perhaps that along with the virgo planets partly explains my slightly reserved side.

Sag rising with Jupiter/Sag/12th house.

I definately look more Sag than anything else. I have an open, expressive, animated, face that lets you know exactly where I'm at or how I'm feeling. It's very hard for me to hide this stuff, In fact I have to concentrate to hide/subdue what I'm feeling.
No poker face here.
I'm built like a Sag, semi-tall and athletic and my best feature has always been my hips and legs.
(no kidding) Since I have only one water planet I don't have a girly girl figure, not curvy but these days money can buy you curves

The most telling sign of my Ascendant is the red in my hair and all of the COWLICKS.
Yes, if I resemble an animal it is a horse.

Letram - Leo is fixed. I don't know any loud Leos... socially. Their presence demands respect and attention in some way (but they don't have to "work" at it). It isn't a "loud" affair. I think air signs (maybe air ascendants) are loud and talkative socially.

My mum is a Leo with Libra Venus - she is not extra social, but she's a great host. If anyone comes over, they are given the royal treatment.

About your your parents personal planets on your chart angles...

This is me and my dad.. He has sun in Libra it is in my 1st house but it doesn't necessarily exactly conjunct my ascendant. It doesn't even conjunct his mars but my time of birth is correct. I would've thought to move my ascendant either a few degrees back onto his mars or a few degrees forward onto his sun.
