I read that the Scorpio Ascendant must transform or die.
Their lives will be one that demands this over and over
Can anyone relate and share their stories.
If you have Scorpio anything or any sign, really, I would love to hear your stories.
If you are in the middle of a transformation as I am, please talk about that too.

This transformation is taking me where I always wanted to go--back inside to who I was made to be.
The chart shows your blueprint like a house blueprint.
There you are---good and bad.
You can find people who will understand you and walk by you from their charts.

Ami,

I am constantly transforming. Not in a radical, one-day-I'm-one-on-way-the-next-I'm-someone-else sense, however. It's more of a gradual change, that just never stops. I change on the inside as a result from what I learn, what I want (dreams/aspirations), who I meet/interact with, etc. As i change this way internally, I try to match my changes externally. Look at a picture of me from 6 months ago compared to me now and you wouldn't see a strong resemblance.

I love your questions by the way. I love your mind. Always curious. Like me. Perhaps that's a Scorpio ASC trait?

Transformation has always been a part of me..though I've not always been aware of it.

Physically, I've changed drastically ever since I was a kid. I never look the same 2 years later. Weight, hair, style, everything seems to change without me really making conscious effort to TRANSFORM.

Spiritually..this is how I've transformed the most. I grew up Christian, and at the young age of 11 turned to Wicca & paganism, then to Islam, and now to a belief system not confined in religion.

Personality wise..I seem to change a lot, too. I'm never the same person year after year. Always thought this just had to do with growing up, but in seeing that I have changed most out of everyone I know..I think it's something I need to do to feel right.

I love change, I love to reinvent myself...not only do I have Scorpio ASC but my Scorpio Pluto is right on my ASC.

Hey there Ami,

Like the rest of the ladies, I am constantly transforming, mainly without my knowledge. I never look the same in any photo, and my mind-space is never stagnant. I am forever learning and changing.

I believe though that this is human nature, to change, grow and transform, although it might be more intense for those with Scorpio planets.

I attribute my changeability to my Uranus in the 1st House also.

Scorp AC conj Scorp Jupiter and,
Scorp Mars

Ami - I personally don't like the word demand (damned) because transformation is difficult enough. The more rebellious one is the more likely the resistance or failure. How about changing the view to something like: opportunity for positive change to spiral upward, to ascension? Change is necessary for positive growth and cyclic, ever revolving, ever evolving. Love makes the world go around.

I wouldn't say that I demand transformation, so much as life demands transformation of me. Everyone goes through transformation, not just Scorpio risings, but we are less likely to be dragged through it kicking and screaming since we like to create our own transformations.

I have actually NOT transformed until now.
I gave up my identity to be the identity others wanted.I became traits others told me to have NOT what I actually had.
Only now, after Pluto forced me to face myself --am I going inward to the journey of the soul.

Did you see my second post in oneruledbymar's North Node thread? I wrote a lot there, but didn't get get into how I transformed... just the basics.

I need to get away from the computer (it keeps mucking around on me, and I need to get out of this little room). I've transformed without wanting to, after being negatively, and/or strongly affected by certain things/people. Uranus conjunct my Mars, squaring my Moon/Venus/nodes, trine my Uranus/ascendant, when I was 27, started the process of my fighting for myself, and trying to reclaim my life. That was followed by my Saturn Return, Pluto trining my Midheaven, then my Mercury/Ceres/Chiron/Sun (three/four years ago). Neptune changed me in another way, a few years ago: I started to open up more, whether I wanted to or not. I started to soften in ways, although that started with outbursts and anger (Uranus and Pluto), and being accepted anyway.

I've gone from a highly self-confident little girl, to a depressed, anxious, self-conscious teen, who just wanted to avoid anything negative, and work at home (I wasn't 'emo' - I was seriously turned into myself, and messed up psychologically. When I was twenty, I cut contact with close friends, because one didn't seem to understand that I couldn't just snap out of it - I thought they shouldn't have to deal with me, abnormal as I was. It sounds emo, but I wasn't that way because I wanted to be (I explained part of this in the other thread).

Ugh! I didn't mean to write so much. I have a Scorpio ascendant, with it's ruler squared by Saturn, and opposed by Jupiter. I wasn't totally helpless - there are ways in which I've pushed myself/worked hard, over the years. I felt helpless in certain situations, though. I repeatedly tried and failed, so I kept to myself. The internet helped a lot (including this message board, and the members here ) with opening me up. Discussing astrology, allowed me to discuss something, without making it too personal - at first.

I'll probably edit this out - I'm all over the place, rambling. I'll try to make it better, later on, or catch you on messenger.

I just end up feeling all exposed, and certain things like this:

quote:
started the process of my fighting for myself, and trying to reclaim my life.

just sound a lot more dramatic than I intended. I make it sound as though I was chained in a basement, by monsters, and fought my way out with swords and ninja skills.

Dear Teasel
When you say you did not fight your way out of the basement---it feels like what *I* used to do and still do but not AS much--which is minimize our experience.
I used to tell myself that my life was not that bad cuz I did not live in a war zone and I had piano lessons and went to camp.
It WAS bad if it broke me which it did.
It made me cast off my identity like cargo from a ship that was going down.

I am gonna write about some of my transformations--if you will bear with me .
I want to put them out and let them go.
I met with a counselor yesterday and after telling her all my deep dark secrets I said,'Do you think I am weird?"
She said"Not at all.You seem like you have a clear mind"
I have been in a small box of a person molested by a mother--a weird ,bad box with a label on the top---Different.
I realized ,yesterday, that I am not not weird or different. I just had a distortion that I was.
This current transformation is the real one for me.It will take me out of this mess of distortions in to the light of day.

Go ahead. I don't mind.

I've finally started a book that I've had out of the library, for a week now, called The Tao of Equus. With my mind in overdrive, I only made it through the opening chapter, but I had to come back here quickly, because it reminded me of Sagittarius, both of its rulers - Jupiter and Neptune - and this thread (transformation).

I might type up a few paragraphs, but you can check at Amazon, to see if they have the introduction available in their "look inside this book" feature: http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Equus-Journey-Healing-Transformation/dp/1577311825

*edit. They don't include the introduction. I'll have to type up a few parts, as I said I would.

So is it scorpios traditional ruler MARS that is responsible for the transformation?

If so then Aries would also be a sign of transformation as it shares rulers with scorpio

Please type them , Teasel.
I am having some wonderful things happen to me, too.
This only started happening a few nights ago.
If I think of someone I love--I can feel his presence.
I am psychic in Cancer way. I have gotten close to a strong Pisces g/f lately.
She describes Pisces way of knowing psychic things.
I have started --for the first time--to feel the types of things she describes.
It is beautiful.
I really am so dumb in that I believe in the Bible but have a million fears and the first one is of death.
I hope my transformation includes more psychic centers opening up.
I have had the sense of someone I loves presence the last two nights. I don't know if it is that person or God but it is a sensation of sweetness and comfort.Last night,I felt asleep in it's arms.

What a lovely feeling! I'm glad that you've found someone who is helping you (your therapist, that you mentioned above).

I can sometimes pick up the energies of others - one person in particular, unless I'm completely checked out (or he is). It can be lovely and comforting, but when it comes to picking up their anxiety (butterflies), sadness or anger, it adds to my own, and I just feel like I'm going to pop. :/

I had an experience, in which I was sure that I saw an angel, when I was 3 (my sister saw something similar, thirty minutes later, but she wasn't in awe, as I was - it scared her). You would think that the feelings would have stuck with me in some way, so that I would have dealt with certain things in a healthier way, wouldn't you? But I didn't. After my parents split up, and we moved back to England, I was fine when my mother would leave the house during the day, but at night? I was scared. I wanted her there. I think that everything from the break-up to the things that happened when I was five, led to the PTSD (mainly the latter).

When I was 16, I'd had a scary encounter with someone, involving them creeping around outside our apartment. We'd had other occurrences of guys knocking on the door, late at night, trying to get me to let them in.. it was a terrible neighbourhhood. I'd started to become more reclusive, as I had the previous year, because I didn't feel as safe as I had when we first moved in (I would improve, only to get worse, improve a little, and then grow even worse). Anyway, I had a dream about the encounter I had when I was 3, and it made me feel better. I talked about it with my mother, and she remembered it... things improved for me over the next few years, until I became almost totally agoraphobic (1995, when I was 20, after six months of constant panic attacks). There's only so much of a push you can get from things like that - life experiences can quickly overshadow the spiritual side, and that 'knowing', for anyone who experiences it.

I've been trying to think of how people I know, of different signs, have transformed over the years. Mars = action, but my Mars is in Pisces - I can be too laid-back, when I'm feeling good about things in my life. No pressure, sometimes equals no movement on my part - sad to say. It all depends on the situation; Optimism can also give me a needed push.

I'll be back later on, with the book. I've been too passive today, and now my mood has sunk, and I need to get busy, before Lost comes on.

And my clothes don't fit me no more
I walked a thousand miles just to slip this skin

I have this Asc.
I wonder if our personal identity isn't the main transformation. That change is incidental. What we're mainly transforming is our sense of self. Instead of clinging to the temporary, conditioned self as being the full measure of who we are, Scorpio demands that we expand our sense of self to something bigger. I probably look at Scorpio transformation like that because my Sun is in Sag.

Pluto and Mars work well for Scorpio's rulers:
Pluto - Death
Mars - Birth (Rules the Asc and Aries Point.)

That's what came to mind, when I started the book that I mentioned above. Not that it was the first time, but it served as a reminder. Some of the changes don't feel so incidental to me, but that depends on where my head is, at the time when I'm thinking or talking about them.

I need to edit my rambling out - I don't like leaving this type of thing up for long.
