Hi Crabbypatty, Thankyou for the article and I was still going ahead with the operation and even after I read the article I thought "this is just a dogdy doctor in America" and I googles operations and horros stories in Australia to sort of debate this issue but it turns out some people get a perfed oesophagus or even cancer afterwards.
I don't have the best transits at the moment either I gues swith transit saturn square my sun (12th house ruler) and mercury (AC ruler). I guess I have been eating and thinkign "I'm going to do the operation and I will lose wieght" but I have gotten so depressed from putting on weight I have lost my appetite and loss 2 kilos this week. I am going to go back to Sydney after my holiday and join the gym and stop eating. I lost alot of weight once when I ate Tuna salads all day and just did swimming. I alos lose weight when I'm on holidays but I am too embarrassed to go anywhere until I am normal and confident again. Are there other ways are there that I can lose weight? Theres even risks with liposuction and I don't wanna do that either.
I have a belly now and I dont do my eyebrows anymore or my hair and make up I look like a SLOB. Thankyou once again for taking the time to post that .. :frown:

If you want to lose weight in an easy way--Belgz--just eat raw food. So--everything is unprocessed such as nuts, fruits and veggies. A few weeks on this and you will lose weight and have great energy. You can also juice fruits and veggies with a juicer. Ami

There are risks with every surgical operation, some bigger and some smaller. In my opinion (and I am a plastic surgery resident), if you're really considering surgery, lipo has the least risks. It can even be done with local anaesthesia. Most patients claim it doesn't hurt that much afterwards. I don't know from personal experience, I haven't done it (yet). However, and I do mean to emphasise this, I wouldn't recommend any type of elective surgery on depressed patients, and it seems to me like you are going in that direction. You need to solve the depression first, find out why you got depressed in the first place, deal with the cause, and then, if you still want, consider surgery. I wish you all the luck and weight-loss! ------------------ Every day is a battle with yourself, one you can never win, nor lose, nor abandon. IP: Logged |

Belgz, it's Sunday night here and we've been out at an amusement park all day and now I have to get my little one ready for bed and for school tomorrow. But I will respond later since I have some thoughts on the matter. IP: Logged |

Belgz, I'm so happy you decided to tough it out and go on a proper diet instead. I'm currently on one too as there's a wedding coming up and I gotta fit into a dress. We could root for each other~ ^__^ sorry guys this is non-related to the topic.
IZO, since your a plastics resident...I have 2 Q's for you. 1) is there a procedure to get rid of dimples on your face?? 2) any procedure that can make your mouth bigger?? (I dont mean bigger lips). Mouth able to open wider?? Thank~~ IP: Logged |

Starkiss, Once it becomes a habit---it feeds on itself --so to speak . When I go to a rich food restaurant--I miss simple raw foods.

Starkiss,Grow and eat sprouts - they will stop you midnight snacking Also, one small point to consider - if you switch to raw foods and juicing overnight, be very careful! Your body can't take such a traumatic detox so better to switch to salads and fish first whilst drinking tons of water to dilute emerging toxins and then slowly change to raw foods. The amount of metals built up in the brain and the toxins deep in the body tissue and muscle will just give you insane headaches and really bad skin and acidic blood/skin levels. "switching" too fast is highly dangerous. I know all of this as i am a qualified nutritionist, aromatherapist, masseuse and kinesiologist. IP: Logged |

About that tea I'm going to try this machine where they put it on certain parts of your body and it burns fat and they make you drink some tea as well. My friend did it and reckons she lost 4 kilos the first week.

Starkiss, sure. Well, sprouts are the best form of protein on the planet. They are easily digestible and nutritious. You can sprout all kinds of beans, seeds and peas. For instance, chick peas, alfalfa seeds and mung beans make wonderful sprouts. The most important thing is fresh water rinsing. Read this article and then google "growing your own sprouts" for more info. If you get stuck, ask me! Basically, you can sprout anything! Once you try it you will love it. Put them in salads, eat as snacks, eat them alone etc etc http://www.happyjuicer.com/wheatgrass/grow-your-own-sprouts.asp IP: Logged |

Well, Belgz, I never went the raw food route although I've read plenty about it and it seems whoever does it drops weight unbelievably and keeps it off. It's just that temptation is always there in our society, and I'm a bit weak, so...Me, I try to follow a low carb diet (with the occasional falling off the wagon) because it works well for me. That's why your tuna salad routine helped... but if you're going to do low carb, you can't be wishy washy about it, that only leads to yo-yo weight. And you have to eat plenty of fiber, i.e., salad food, because otherwise you'll be a mess. Oh, and lots of water. Bottom line, though, is that no matter what diet you choose, it doesn't help matters to let yourself go, because then there's absolutely no incentive to take care of yourself in any manner. It's a slippery slope...so I say: do your eyebrows, get your pedicure, have your hair cut, keep loving yourself despite the extra pounds. Many people have gone through weight gain and then recovered nicely. You can, too. Just don't punish yourself for having gained the weight. You are still lovable Belgz, at any weight. IP: Logged |

Lara, LOL, I thought you meant brussels! It says on website: "Try and avoid the room temperature being much in excess of 22 deg C." That might be a problem, where I live, in a couple of weeks, we will be hitting 44-46 C! How will eating sprouts stop me from midsnacking? Do I have to eat a ton? And do I have to get a sprouter? haha cute. You don't need a sprouter. You can grow them just as one did with mustard and cress as a child. Do you have any air-conditioning or a cooler room. People grow them all over the world so i'm sure it's possible. Take some dried chick peas or dried beans. Put them in a saucepan and wash. Cover with water and leave overnight. Then remove water, put them on kitchen roll on a plate. cover with kitchen roll and put them in the dark. Every day water and drain, then in a few days time you have sprouts! IP: Logged |

The best way is to get a jar, make holes in the lid. Then put seeds/beans in the jar... the holes will drain the water out when you've soaked and rinsed them every day you can also put them in sunlight from start but then eat them when sprouted root is about 1/2 an inch long. They are very filling and will make you look a million dollars! IP: Logged |
