I've noticed that people have a particular perception of me primarily based on the house in which their Sun falls in my chart.I find this extremely interesting because it has happened so many times. The more I think about it, the more examples I find. Gemini people have an impression of me as extremely sweet and kind (my 12th house is Gemini). Ami reminded me of this - She is also a Gemini and she has mentioned many times that she perceives my energy as Piscean. My RL Gemini friend was open to astrology until I read the Aries interpretation and she laughed saying that was not at all like me. I know two Virgo men in RL who are into astrology and both thought I had a Cancerian vibe (yes it could be my ascendant but it could also be the fact that Virgo is my 4th house cusp). Polo ( Virgo ex-poster) also guessed me to be a Cancer, based on my LL posts. Many Leo people have an impression of me as extremely intelligent. I usually meet these people through University. They seem to see me as Gemini-like (Leo is my 3rd cusp). My Capricorn friend sees me as Libran (Capricorn is my 7th). She thinks I am argumentative and always take the opposite view point to balance an argument.
My ex's friend (Cap sun guy) told me I'd make a perfect wife. I find this pattern interesting.
I wonder if you've noticed this in your own lives... Think back to the compliments and criticisms you get from particular people.. Could they be seeing *that* side of you that is represented by the house where their Sun falls in your natal?  IP: Logged |

Another thing that is interesting to me.. is that neither of these people could see it any other way.Tell my Cap friend that I am as sweet as a Pisces description and she will think you've gone mad. Tell my Gemini friend that I'm as aggressive as the Aries description and she'll laugh (as she did). The view these people have is very ingrained - that intrigues me. They are all very *sure* that they know me and that I am the way they perceive me to be. IP: Logged |

I just asked my uncles girlfriend who is a Libra and a pisces ascendant she falls in my first house said..."Friendly if I wanna be and if i don't wanna be she said im someones worst enemy and very independant."
I aksed my uncle what he thought of me who is a capricorn sun in my 4th house and virgo ascendant said...

I think people see you through how they see themselves.Some people are just naturally jealous or competitive and some people have other qualities or securities or insecurities through which they view themselves so that will always factor in how they perceive you (against them). IP: Logged |

PA - I'd prefer it if people saw me the same way. It kind of confuses me. I never know what to expect. Sometimes I get seriously contrasting comments on the same day.. such as:"You are too passionate" "You are too aloof" O_O IP: Logged |

Lots of people guess my sign as either Libra or Aquarius. Noone has ever guessed me to be Cancerian. Maybe cause my ascendant is in the last 3 degrees of Virgo. My progressed ascendant is in Libra. Vapor I see you as Cappy with some Pisces. WB peace Angel I missed youuuuuuuuuuu xxx IP: Logged |

belgzI think the lack of Earth in your chart would give you that appearance (generally speaking). It would be different for people who know you because we can see that passion, care and energy in you. IP: Logged |

Could I add a thought to your theory?
My theory is that people must relate on the SAME element . Then- can they learn from each other from the elements they don't have or only have in a small amount.
I will use you and me for an example. I FEEL you as a water sign. It feels like Pisces or Cancer.
My water signs--Cancer and Scorpio--bond with you--at a heart(water) level.
I see you as water which means someone I can share my heart with.
AFTER that---I can learn from your elements which are different such as Aries and Cappy.
I can receive your differences in a non threatening way cuz we bonded on the same element--water. I have this with Pdf --too. We bond on water--Cancer/Scorpio but I LEARN from his fire--Sag/Leo which are unfamilar elements to me. Ami

I completely understand that! I've noticed that myself. I lack air in my chart and it's difficult for me to *receive* air "lessons" from someone who is not fiery & watery enough (at least one or the other). Many of my female friends have Aries Venus. My Gemini friend has a LOT of air.. and next to *no* water - She has Aries Venus conjunct AC (on my Sun). I can easily take in her air, because I feel her fire and she connects with me on that level. It works with fire *or* water.. from my perspective. My ex Libra was watery and I could connect with him in an emotional way - so, even though he lacked fire.. that connection was enough for me to take in his "air" - if that makes sense lol IP: Logged |

What surprises me though is when I get "judgments" regarding my personality that are completely different. This has happened my whole life.For instance Ami - you see me as Piscean - which is watery and mutable. If you spoke about me to .. hmmmm lets say to CPN.. She'd tell you she sees me as stubborn.
Being stubborn is not a Piscean trait. But you don't see me as stubborn. If you spoke about me to AG - I think he'd be genuinely surprised that you get this vibe. Maybe not.
But I think he would *be*
Since he sees me as Aries-like. If you spoke about me to Spanky - She said she had to hose me down once because I have that much personality (or something like that) - which sounds Aries like again.
lol Spanky - that was funny. Anyway, I find those situations interesting. I wonder if it has to do with Neptune in my chart - I mean situations where people are very convinced they see certain characteristics in me.. and in reality I am neither one nor the other. That's because they are not seeing you as you are, they are seeing you as they are. In effect, it has little to do you with you - no matter how accurate their perceptions may be. Conversely, due to the synastry, you may bring out these qualities in them and they in you.IP: Logged |
