Hello everybody

Let you understand my situation a little... right now I'm dealing with a pinched sciatic nerve in my spine. It's the most painful thing I have ever gone thru. Right now I can't walk except to the bathroom and that's causing extreme pain. I'm starting to be able to sit up again (this is the reason why I have disappeared from LL) and when I get the nerve to take a bath my mother has to assist me. (talk about taking the little things for granted) So, you can only guess how this whole situation is effecting me...

My doctor is a total jerk... it seems he is having fun being in total control of the situation. I have had an MRI and X-ray and it's for sure I need surgery. I have no health insurance- that's why I am going to him. It's the only clinic that assist people with no insurance. I tried to switch doctor's within the clinic but none of them will take my case b/c of him. Also, He won't refer me to a specialist nor will he give me pain medication to relief some of the pain. He told me he wouldn't treat me with stronger meds until I got the MRI and X-ray... and now he isn't keeping with his word. He has misdiagnosed me up to this point (I even told him what I thought was wrong with me the first time I met up with him in March and he basically told me I'm not a doctor- I have no clue what is going on so I should stay out of it) and now, even tho he has proof what is wrong, he is still going against it.

Anyway...

I'm wondering if this is Saturn issues... right now it's square my AC/DC and Mars...

This issue started the 2nd week of March 2009, which then I could at least walk to the car, bathroom/take showers even tho it stopped most of everything else in my life.

By the 2nd week of May I was walking normal and was up to walking about a mile, while it was looking positive that within a month I would be back to normal...

3rd week of May- it all took a huge turn for the worst... worst than it ever has been, but now I'm starting to be able to sit up and wobble to the bathroom...

I'm wondering if this is Saturn and that once passes into Libra that things will start getting back to normal (I prey to god it does)

Thanks for listening to my rambling... after about 3 1/2 months of being in pain and this situation just controlling my life... I'm ready things to start getting better!

Here is my Natal and Progressed chart with Transits...

Thank You!

Sorry to hear about the trouble ...poor you!
Sounds like a really difficult time!

Saturn does rule bones though. Spine, bones, teeth, etc, anything having to do with structure.
It looks like it's still passing for you...once it goes into Libra next month it will probably be much better for you

I don't know what places are like where you are, but I am wondering if there's any place around you which offers acupuncture? I've heard it helps a lot and it's actually fairly cheap in comparison to all people pay for regular health stuff. It's worked very much for me, not just as 'alternative' health stuff but to alleviate pain and get to the core of the problem.

Thanks MVM I hope so!

EDIT... I meant 2010 not 2009... my brain is playing games with me. It feels like this year isn't really happening since this whole year I have been having medical issues and only spending time with my couch. lol

I was having jaw/teeth issues (connected to arthritis) with the first pass of Saturn squaring my AC/Mars end of 2009-beginning 2010.

Thank goodness for the internet at least, right?

I hope you feel better soon...I'd not be at all surprised if you start to drastically improve by July/August.

It sounds like Saturn has been way hard on you...I'll beat him up for you!!!!

Hi Racole,

I'm going to jump on MVM's wagon here and just include transiting Uranus into the scenario. Saturn is the spine and probably the arthritis as well, but Uranus is the pinched nerve, the "shock" and "surprise" of when the nerve is pinched, the "electric impulse". Transiting Uranus is also squaring your ASC as well. It will go retrograde again this year. That doesn't necessarily mean that it will aggravate you during the retrograde, but it could.

I'd like to GENTLY suggest that if you know of any holistic healers who can help you in anyway to take advantage. Even if finances are tough, somehow, put it out there that you're in need of healing because that doctor sounds like a sadist. I trust your instincts on that. This guy sounds like an a$$.

There are a lot of people who read this website who never participate, but they are healers and psychics and astrologers, etc. who might be able to assist you. My biggest hope is that, only if you are open to it, a very good Reiki Healer would help to heal you remotely.

Please respond if this is something you'd be interested in, and I'd be happy to investigate with some friends that I have who might do this Pro Bono for you because they need to do service for someone.

I personally wish you wellness.

[Edit] I meant to say "Uranus is also transiting your ASC". The way I wrote it up in the body of my post looks like I'm just repeating what MVM said, I wrote the name of the wrong planet, I was trying to emphasize Uranus

awh, that IS a suckie situation and I am sooo sorry to hear you are in that space...some questions though:

if you dont have insurance, do you really NEED this doctor's referal since referals are usually only needed for insurance reasons anyways, or am I missing something?

Second, have you ever heard of Louise Hayes work? I don't always buy what she is saying but I have found that sometimes, there is a an element of truth to it, and I use it a ton in my reiki practice and my shamanic healing work. What I noticed, just a thought, was that you feel, literally, like you can't move forward in your life...so the question that Louise Hayes or even Robert Moss would pose is..what is going on in your life that makes you feel like you can't move forward..what specifically..once identified, sometimes the answer on what to do will come next and the pain MIGHT subside. This is just ONE of many healing theories, it's free..and it might help. IDK.

Third, wow...saturn in the 4th huh? Home feeling stagnant?

I hope I am not coming off poorly, or unconcerning or too personal, I hope things will get better for you

Wow, I had no idea about Uranus and the shock of the pinched nerve thing, Geocosmic, but it makes sense!

And yeah, I would also second the thought of holistic healing for sure!

Seelah, when I had Saturn transiting my 4th I felt trapped in my home circumstance. I think Saturn in the 4th can very much make a person feel trapped and confined. For me it was psychological and circumstantial (once it left my 5th I ended up leaving the country altogether for 9 months, as far away as possible LOL), but in some cases it's almost literal I think, with someone being confined to the home

I still recommend "tracking" what the nerve situation could be...as a reiki master I can send you healing remotely, not opposed to it, it will help the pain but you need to get to the "source" of it to make it permentant...and if you track this, I could also do some shamanic healing on it too with my mesa. but, it's up to you.

Thank you for all the wonderful replies. I will respond in the next couple days... I'm in a little bit more pain than usual- I typed/sat up a little too much yesterday and the muscles in my back are a little sore.

Thank you once again.

Dear Racole
My best friend is a foot reflexologist. Please keep in mind something such as this which is easy and inexpensive compared to traditional medicine.
Sending you a rainbow

Thanks for everybody has that chimed in here. It means a lot

I am seeing a Chiropractor, which this is the first time I have ever been open to. He is amazing. I really don't know much about holistic healing at all. I'm completely open to anything I just don't have any money. I'm living with my parents right now to help with the money situation- I don't even have a checking acct anymore. I literally have no money. Mom is paying for the doctor/chiropractor and that is avg about $300 a month which is putting a lot of stress on my mom.

About Timeline---
I completely see how Uranus plays into this but I hope it's only adding in the "unexpected" ... I looked at the time line with Saturn and the 1st time Saturn hit I had the Jaw/ teeth issue- and once out of orb it was over. When Saturn went into retro and in orb- the spine issue started. Then when it went direct the spine issue relapsed and was a whole lot worst than the first time. This week things are getting drastically better- I'm sitting up, wobbling to the bathroom (thank god!).

About Insurance---
I'm not sure about needing a reference if you don't have instance, but I was hoping he would help me find some doctors that would work with me b/c of the financial issue since his network is a lot bigger than mine. Tomorrow I'm going to be able to walk/ride in the car, so I'm going to visit my chiropractor and I'm going to see if he can point me into a good direction.

About Saturn in 4th---
When Saturn was conj to my IC I moved across the U.S. When Saturn and Uranus squared my Sun last summer I felt so trapped. I traveled the US for a good 2 months (b/c at the time I could do my job from anywhere and I had the money- most of my work was online). Lately I don't feel confined. I'm just a little restless b/c I want to be able to just go to the grocery store or make my own meal. LOL I feel more helpless... I'm pretty independent- I have issues allowing people to help me. It's been my biggest lesson with this... that it's OK to let people help out. LOL

About it having a physiological/emotional connection to this issue---
I wouldn't be surprised if it is connected. Right before all this started I was in a great place. I got a new job as a Assistance Art director (temp job to last a yr), I enlisted into the military as a Navy architect (they were going to bring me on when my main project was suppose to start- Summer 2011), I started a new relationship (first one since 2003) with a person I have been friends with for 12 yrs (he is in the military too). He purposed to me end of Feb but I told him lets take it slow (b/c he just got out of a marriage about a yr ago). Everything was going awesome- it's probably the happiest I have been in a LONG time.

Then mid-march hit... back went out, lost my Art director job b/c I couldn't walk (they were allowed to let me go b/c of the issue since it was before the first 30 days), the Navy cut my contract after they saw all the records from the testing on my back, and my b/f just completely freaked out and disappeared.

Then mid-May hit- he finally got ahold of me, told me he was in another relationship b/c he couldn't take the chance of getting hurt and that he was scared. He wouldn't even talk to me (ignored me for the 2 months before) I finally took a stand for myself for the first time. (pertaining to romantic relationships) and told him that we don't even have a future as friends if he can't have any integrity in his word, that he is going to continue to withhold info, can't communicate in the face of no agreement, and that I definitely don't need a person to leave me in a space of confusion. He won't/hasn't talked to me since then... My back went out the second time the day after this all happened with him. I'm really concerned our friendship is even over. We met in college- very loyal and protective of each other, but never romantic. When he went thru his divorce, he was stattioned in europe at the time, I went over there for a month and helped out and last summer when I was going thru my Saturn/Uranus square to my Sun he came over to the US for 3 weeks and helped me out. So, our friendship has never been superficial. So, that's why I'm shocked where our relationship is right now.

Well, I think I have rambled enough. LOL. I do have issues letting people help me or feeling that I'm not important enough to be listened to. (I'm guessing that is from my Sun conj Neptune in the 6th) I usually put everybody else first, so, this is a big step me coming on here and voicing my issues and asking for help.

Thanks to everybody that is listening/helping me out.

The left side of the discs are pinch and they are worried that soon the "gel" thats inside the disc are going to start "oozing" out. It's pinching my sciatic nerve. I can't even explain how much pain I have been in... I have never felt anything like this before... I ice it 20 mins every hour when I'm awake. Muscle relaxers aren't working (I'm having spasms in my back, thigh, caf and foot. Oral pain relievers aren't helping. They been giving me shots (don't really remember what it is... to relieve the pain enough so I could at least use the restroom (toilet seat was pushing on the nerve too much- it was extremely painful). The only thing that is really helping me right now to sit up and wobble to the bathroom are steroids. When I'm not on the steroids I can't even walk 5 steps-i literally can't move my leg and I'm bent over to the point that my hands on on my knees. With the steroids at least I can make it to the bathroom (15 ft round trip) but I can't go any further than that at this moment This totally sucks! LOL

But everything happens for a reason and there are lessons to learn from every situation

I'm going to add my synastry with my friend since I talked about out situation so much.

We definitely have out fair share of really negative aspects.
like my Pluto opp his Venus- less than a degree,
His Saturn, mars and his ASC square my Venus with my Venus conj to his Uranus.)
Just looking at all his Uranus connections really has me concerned about being in any kind of relationship with him.

But we do have some great aspects...
DW with Sun and Venus,
DW Merc and Sun,
my 7th house ruler conj his ASC/Saturn,
his 7th house ruler conj my Venus,
My MC conj his Sun,
my Juno conj his DSC and Mars,
His Juno conj my Eros,
My Psyche conj his Eros,
and the Moon conj...
I really like how my Sun conj Neptune compliments his Sun in Pisces and how his Moon conj jupiter compliments my Sun in Sag.

But I know that it doesn't matter how great synastry can be if each person can't handle their own natal aspects...

Well I have almost the same AC-DC as you.. 0'Cancer and 0'Cap. My Mars is at 2 degrees Capricorn conjunct DC.
(edit: I should mention, there is a slight possibility my AC is 29' Gemini, since my mum believes the birth certificate time is 5 min off. I decided to stick to Cancer though, but after your story I think moving back to fence sitting lol)

I also had health problems (but earlier) - end of 2008 and start of 2009.. Also a Uranian shock-type of thing.

I am confident that you will get better and that this will pass!
Saturn in Libra will be an improvement.

I reached the conclusion that part of the problem - was Pluto transiting through my 7th (and conjunct Mars) -- Because Pluto is in Capricorn (ruling bones) and the ruler of Capricorn is Saturn in Virgo (sign of health) - challenged by Uranus...

My biggest problem happened on the eve of the second exact Saturn-Uranus opposition in 2009, when Pluto had already gone into Capricorn and Saturn was retrograde.

I have a feeling it is not the AC-DC or Mars square.. Because for me.. this happens when Saturn enters Libra (square my AC-DC and Mars) -- but my problem started around the same time as *yours* started.

In any case - I agree to the people who mentioned alternative medicine. I think acupuncture would be the best thing in your case. At least give it a try. I have a friend who had a horrible back pain - she said she could barely move and think and acupuncture worked wonders for her. She has Virgo Mars, so Saturn transited over her Mars and the same opposition to Uranus must've affected her.
Chiropractors on the other hand, don't seem all that good - I usually hear negative stories..

I have never tried what Geocosmic suggested nor do I know anyone who has - but it sounds good and that's worth trying also!

I know you are in a lot of pain, but something tells me that having this surgery with this doctor, will make things worse - not better.
If there is any possibility to see a different doctor - try to do that. If not - I'd go straight to acupuncture because you may even feel an immediate effect. With my friend she said for about an hour after the acupuncture she couldn't feel the pain (almost like a pain killer would work).. and in time it just got progressively better.

Dynamitee

I wouldn't be surprised if your Rising is Gemini. Your thought process seems to be like mine (just going off your posts and how you present info... dunoo. lol) Where is your Gemini located and aspects?

When Pluto was conj my DSC/Mars I didn't have any physical health issues going on. (also during this time my Prog Merc was conj to Transit Pluto... it still is. I feel like i'm Majoring in Pluto right now. LOL. Anyway, my issue during this time was all mental. (Sorry if I give out too much info after this point....lol) For two years when Pluto was conj those points I didn't have sex, drink, drugs (even like Alieve/Advil)... like my vices stopped. I had no interest in being in relationships period unless they were "deep"/a true connection. (but my Progressed Sun just entered my 8th house and also during this time my Prog Sun was square my Natal Pluto). I was not social at all and I was very depressed... sometimes I just wanted to disappear. Mars rules my 11th so I don't know if that played into it.

I have no issue trying acupuncture but don't I need to be able to lay completely down for that? I can't lay straight at all. My Chiropractor is awesome... he is the only one that has really truly helped. He can just push on my spine with his fingers for about 10 mins and it relieves a lot of the pain for about 3-4 days. So, I'm not ready to give him up. LOL

I'm not planning on having the surgery with said doctor (the jerk) he isn't a surgeon (thank god). I completely agree there would be a possibility of making things worst if I left this all in the hands of above doctor. LOL

I have a couple questions for you Dyna...

How is your Mars in the 7th conj your DSC working for you in relationships? I'm 31 and still not married- never been close... except for what I mentioned above with my friend purposing to me in Feb...

I don't know if you read my last LONG post but I think a part of my issue with the pain is emotional from the situation with my ex. Could you read my last post and look at our charts and let me know why he would of done the things he did please? I have been beating myself up like crazy!

Thanks!

My back is doing a lot better! Today I started walking more and taking semi-normal steps! Plus, I'm starting to be able to sit up straight! YAY!

Anyway, if anybody could look at the synastry chart of mine that is above and read what I wrote... I would great appreciate it. I would really like to know why he is reacting to the situation the way he is.

Thanks!

Racole - I think you are extremely in tune emotionally (or were - before the problems started). I had a Moon-Moon conjunction with my ex, and even though our Suns are opposite - we were very similar on an emotional level. Because the sign is Taurus (a great placement for the Moon) and earthy - you should find it easy to be sensual and SHOW your affection through spontaneous bear hugs and gifts.

It's also great that his Jupiter is there, because as a Sag you appreciate a dose of jovial Jupiter.

Really - I do like your synastry overall.. I think problems could come from your mutable energy - where you could both be in *and* out at the same time, not entirely sure of where you want to take it. I see this in particular with Pisces men in relationships, but you have Sun conjunct Neptune in a mutable sign, so you could be undecided as well. Maybe there is too much confusion overall.. too much Neptunian energy.

Also, both of your Venuses are in aspect to transpersonal planets. Venus-Uranus can be friendly but it can be extremely erratic.. the kind of love that is completely unpredictable. Sometimes you are just shocked by developments in his life or simply his overall personality and the way he thinks. He might see you as a bit selfish or self-centered (Venusian) and become critical at times - but there is definitely a strong attraction there.. and a friendship bond. Traditionally in mythology, Uranus was Venus' father.. Maybe that archetype plays out as well. He could be fatherly towards you in a caring manner or in a critical manner.

On the other hand your Pluto is opposite his Venus.. so you wouldn't particularly appreciate his brand of superficiality either. You can both be critical of each other.. But you are more likely to call it quits, because you are the Pluto. In the Uranus-Venus... Uranus can take in anything Venus throws his way.. Ultimately they have a mutual LOVE. But with Venus-Pluto, for the Pluto person it could become "my way or the high way" romantically.. If you think he is being false in some way, "surface", being pleasant for the sake of it with no real substance behind his words -- OR -- flirting carelessly left right and center and having affairs (all negative Venusian traits) -- your reaction is to completely shut down all emotion and behave as though he is dead to you.
This reaction is understandable in some circumstances, like the situation you described.. But maybe your Pluto is being too intense about the situation. After all you've known him for a long time - The friendship could be worth rescuing. Your Pluto is inclined to want *all* or *nothing*.. The reason he felt scared could be because he felt you demanded some changes in him that he either couldn't make or wasn't willing to make.. Is that possible? He may have felt you were very serious about these changes and wouldn't compromise.

I have Mars-Neptune conjunct DC. Neptune is there as well. My longest relationship (a bit over 2 years) was with a Libra guy who had AC on my DC and Mars-Neptune.
He is actually the same guy I just mentioned. He also has Capricorn Moon conjunct mine. For some reason it really drifted for me.. I didn't feel anything anymore. He did want something more serious but I was being increasingly cold and eventually he moved on.
I'm 24 - I haven't been married and I'm not all that into it. But that could be just my age. I'm happy to be single.

In early 2008 I met a man who is just the most amazing person. He is the only man I've ever felt genuinely in love with.. but the thing about Neptunian love is - I don't have a huge desire to make it physical or more serious than it is now. I thought I did for a while - but I kind of like it platonic for now.
