quote:
I think for some people, like myself, if it's too easy it gets boring and becomes more like friendship/sibling.

Agreed. I like a little tension.

quote:
° Moon, Venus, ASC or DESC in Aries, Sagittarius or Aquarius
(with Sun and Mars in these signs closely following)

I have DSC and Mars in Sag, Sun in Aquarius

quote:
° challenging aspects (square, opposition, conjunction) like:

Moon-Mars
Moon-Uranus
Moon-Pluto
Venus-Mars
Venus-Uranus
Venus-Pluto
DESC-Mars
DES-Uranus
DESC-Pluto
(Sun-Mars, Sun-Uranus, Sun-Pluto and Mars-Uranus-Mars-Pluto)

I have an exact Venus/Uranus square, and Uranus conjunct DSC (also Mars in wide conjunction with DSC [7 degrees]).

quote:
° Mars, Uranus, Pluto, (Sun) in 1st, 5th, 7th or even 8th house (Venus in 8th house also)

Uranus in the 7th, Pluto in the 5th.

But I go back and forth because of Saturn being exactly conjunct Uranus, so I also like security.

My favorite on-screen relationships are Scarlet and Rhett in Gone With the Wind and Chuck and Blair in Gossip Girl lol. I think there's also the pining for what you can't have aspect (I have Venus in Pisces and Neptune in the 7th).

Amowls,

I just noticed I forgot some major Scorpio-placements in my listing.

Anyway, it of course depends on other aspects / planets modifying these aspects, like in your or Gypsee`s case Saturn.
Actually I dread to think what havoc strong predominance of Uranus and Pluto squares to Venus, DESC, Moon and Mars without the restriction of a bit of Saturn could make!

Personally I do have some of these, myself:

° Sun, Mars and ASC in Sagittarius
° Moon in Aquarius
° ASC conjunct Mars
° Venus squaring Pluto

Oh yes I also liked Rhett and Scarlett.
And I agree on the "pining away" aspect, maybe it adds to these other aspects in most cases?
I have it myself. Neptune conjunct Mars, NN and ASC in 1st house. Mars in 12th house though.
Neptune squaress my chartruler exact, and this chartruler of mine is in Pisces. lol

DD,
with nodal/ruler conjuncts would this work, please?
my NN in Aries. Ruler mars. My NN cj his mars.
or is it strictly.
my NN in Aries. Ruler mars. My mars cj his NN?

How about reversals where:
his NN ruler is moon.
my NN ruler is mars.
my moon cj his mars.

Just wondering and these are partly hypothetical

Lara,

I haven`t researched the rulers of the nodal axis, even though I have thought about it once or twice.
But since it is also an axis, we probably could consider these, too.
The SN-ruler would signify "terra cognita", while the NN- ruler would probably facilitate your growth on your lifepath.
Two NN-rulers conjunct each other would probably be positive in working together and assisting each other on their paths, even though the paths itself may not be exactly the same (unless the NN will be in the same sign, too).

I don´t really consider reversals though. They may have an impact, but basically I think that if your Mercury is being triggered, then it can only have an effect according to its placement / position in your chart.

Thanks DD, interesting

I have a t-square too Gypsee! Mine is not as cool as yours though
jupiter (possibly conjunct AC) in leo
neptune in scorpio
mars in taurus

I am known to be intense, especially to Aquarians. I just blow their minds lol

No wonder if your ASC is in Leo. And then with all these Aries planets.

Oh well, I think Jupiter can deal with intense, challenging aspects pretty well. Not because Juptier really craves that sort of intensity, but because he is very open and always interested to learn something (new); and in connection with Mars VERY energetic. So he might like a very stimulating, energetic exchange, too.

Totally right! I am one big energetic, positive, interesting exchange lol

and i think jupiter at the apex is a bit of a buffer or diffuser.
Sag would rule my 5th house which help keep me optimistic and playful and neptune rules my 8th bringing depth to the t-square and giving renewal to the fire maybe?
Mars ruler is 9th. So basically jupiter kinda integrates with mars and being in leo, and ruling 5th which is suns natural house and aries/mars in 9th which is jupiters natural house.
The dynamics of astrology are so cool!

can self-awareness ever be modest? I prefer to know myself and live openly than be modest and an unknown to myself.

Surely modesty is not showing ones true material wealth by not being flash! lol

I was just teasing a little bit.

Lara, you can have my t square, I am a hot mess, and have been known to send them screaming into the night.

Oh well.

My favorite real life couple was Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
All that passion for the good, then the bad, then the good, and so on...

I think my favorite movie couple was the couple (can't remember their on screen names) in 'Cold Mountain'.

All that pining, and writing, and all they got was one good night. lol! Hello story of my life.

My parents:

My father has Cancer Sun, my mother has Sagittarius Sun - I still haven't met any other couple with this sun combo.

Myself and my SO: Virgo Sun & Aqua Sun (more common, though, than you'd think at first).

Gypsee,

Ada and Inman.

After seeing the film I actually got a crying fit.
I was having some sort of flashback, that was so strong, that for several minutes I couldn`t even have told you what century we were having!

But speaking astrologically I think there was something very Neptunian about their "relationship".

oh yea, i (sag) was once with a Cancer too but it was just a bad idea. he was too sentimental and soft, and i got super quickly bored of it. i felt bad…

but we had like, pretty tight AC/MC conjunction, Eros/Psyche conjunction, NN/Venus, Sun/Vertex, to name a few. it was REEEALLY nice for 1-2 weeks and then i couldn't stand it anymore.

I just spilled iced tea down my shirt when I read what you wrote, DD, because I had the same reaction to that movie, and every time I watch it, still, I cry and get very, very depressed afterwards. More than normal for just a movie.
Neptunian. Yes. Per the times, I suppose.
Not much to live on other than dreams back then.

*Sag and Cancer.
My Aunt is a Cancer, and my Uncle WAS a Sag.
They were married for ten years, until he overdosed on heroin when he was 28.

I thought they were the perfect couple.
In all our family photos she is staring adoringly at him, while he does something goofy.
She just told me, about 2 months ago, that she was filing for divorce at the time he passed away.
BUT~
She never married again, and has never been in another serious relationship.
Like the song says, 'Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough'..

I look at them and I see so much pain. I have an unaspected Venus which is aspected in Synastry by his Pluto(exact). Also, we have a Moon square Pluto(exact), Moon conjunct Pluto(4 degrees) and Mars square Pluto(exact).
I don't want to look like Elizabeth Taylor
after it was over

That's great to hear, GypseeWind.

Could be a better match that way (woman being Cancer, man Sag)...
