Thanks, angel, I have just come back with some nice colour on my nose, lol.
The sea is awesome. It was quite choppy, but very warm, big waves. Love the sea. Don't care much for lying on the beach much, I get bored easily and the sand and pebbles get everywhere, messy, but I adore swimming. Took my little dog with me for a dunk, but he is more of a sofa/cushion dog, Pekingese, if you know the breed, with squishy nose and huge cherry eyes. When I splashed him with water, his eyes popped out even more, they were on stalks. He loves his showers, but not the sea. So I just left him in the shade and had a gorgeous swim myself.
You have to tell me about your beaches, my favourite topic,LOL.
And tell me what books you came back with from the book store, xoxo

I'm glad you had a fun day StarKiss. You sound like an adventurer. What is your sign? (no I'm not hitting on you..*chuckle*)

Do you have a picture of your dog that you'd like to share?
I hear there is such thing as pet astrology too. My current kitty is an Aquarius. Reading the discription made me laugh, it fits him!

The water here is very warm. Like bath water. About 80-90 degrees depending on the area. We also have warm ponds here, and The Lava warms the water while the sun heats it too, so it's usually very very warm.
I live about a 5 minute walk from the ocean and can hear the waves crashing from my bed. They are huge thunderous waves.
A trail that is filled with palms, bananas, coconuts, Mangos, pineapples and passionfruit is hidden all along the coast by my house. I pick fruit on my walk to the water and eat it on the way. By the time I get to the water I'm really ready to get in because I'm dripping with fruit juice and my face and hands are sticky.

The beaches are usually filled with many volcanic rocks and volcanic cliffs. We live on a huge volcano..
The Big Island has very few sandy beaches. But they come in colors of green and black blue and red. We have large whales, dolphins, sea turtles and all sorts of creatures who swim with us. Even the eels and jelly fish. The Volcanic rocks that I climb/hike are filled with skittering black crabs. They frantically and clumsily dart over the rocks away from you when they see you coming.
Generally people don't take the time to hike through the rocks, so I usually have the pond and sea swimming spots to myself all day. The fish come right out and swim around your legs, as well as the large sea turtles.
The waves here can be dangerous in some areas, as they can suck you out very quickly and then crush you onto the very sharp lava rocks. So caution is strongly used when I venture out into the sea.

I didn't find any books that interested me. Borders is the main book store here, and they are going out of business..so everything is half off. Doesn't leave much to choose from I'm afraid. :/
There are some metaphysical stores here I might check out. If I find anything I'll be sure to let you know.~

Sending Love,
Angel

I am a Virgo with Scorpio Moon and Mars.
I am quite Scorpionic, you see.
When you pick all those fruits on the way to the sea, does it mean you are pinching them from somebody else's trees, LOL?
This is what we do here!
We were trying to pinch some avocados yesterday, but the avocado grove turned out to be private and we got shooed off,
I have about a thousand pix of my dog, but still have to figure out how to put them up. I am Neanderthal when it comes to computers, hands up!
How does it feel to live on a volcano? Can you hear it breathing? I'd lose my sleep!
We have a lot of volcanic lava around here, but no fire spitting monsters.
I read Hawaii has red and green beaches, but I can't imagine it. Are they really red and green? And BLUE??? WOW.
We do have sea turtles and hatcheries here too, but they are too shy to swim with people.
No crabs at all. I think tourists ate them a while ago, lol. Lots of fish, though and octopuses.

PS Are you in the same time zone as NY?

Hi StarKiss,
Ahhhhh.. you got scorpio~~ I love Scorpio My few and carefully chosen close friends are usually Virgo and Scorpio. I have a lot of Libra in me.
ha! ...The trail is usually public and wild..So I'm safe there. Besides, I'm a scorpio.. If I'm going to steal fruit then I'll put on my black cloak and hunt my prey at night when everyone's sound asleep....filling my little black bag with tasty fruit! ...But I don't steal so the neighborhood is safe!!! lol

If I walk far enough down (a few miles in) then I'll be walking through private property. Most of the houses here are either waiting to be sold or are in the process of being built. Once they are done being built they usually end up being for sale shortly after. We have tons of empty houses for sale here. People don't realise how expensive it can get.
Yum I love avocados..They can get so big on the tropical islands..

How does it feel to live on the volcano?
Everything is raw, filled with passion, fire and force. Nothing is done or felt "lightly" here. It gets your attention no matter what. It took me a while to get used to it, as I'm very sensitive to energies. I couldn't sleep properly for a couple of weeks. I believe the Volcano + the surrounding ocean water was overload for me.

If there is a bon fire sitting near me energetically, I will merge with it and turn it into a sun. lol So with the volcano running through and under everything here and the fact that volcanos are massive magnifiers as well....I was in for a wild ride!

Physically we are lucky to live on a volcano, In my opinion. It keeps the industry and building at a low . Nature is in control. Newly built things can be wiped away by the lava at any time so most companies wont take the chance of losing their investment. That's why it's so much more crowded on the other smaller islands. I'd visit the other islands, but not live there.
With this Volcano you have an incredible unlimited supply of Mangifying energies. It magnifies everything. Thoughts, feelings, energies...so everything you manifest comes quickly and without warning. If you're feeling bitter about something or someone..you'll see the results of that very shortly.

You know that saying: Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it?
Well over here it should be: Be careful what you think of, Cause you'll sure as H$%ck get it!!!!

I'd love to see pictures of your dog. I love furry friends. If you need help posting the pics I'd be more than happy to help.

Hawaii has it's very own time zone. We are two hours earlier than California.

Yes we also have black sand beaches.

Love~~
Scorpio Angel

I know you have a lot of Libra. My Venus in Libra conjuncts your Saturn and Mercury. Fab for a long term relationship,
I am not hitting at you either!!!!! LOL!

This is my little man with all his teddies, which he loves to bits. This dog, sorry, person, is like a baby. He sleeps on my bed at night and talks to me at day. I had many dogs when I lived with my parents, but HE is so different. He is 6 years old and I am terrified of what's going to happen when he is old and has to go. He is my soul mate.

This sounds exactly like my island. I wonder if they are all similar? I am not on the equator, though, I am in the Mediterranean.

Your little man is adorable! The way the darker fur outlines his mouth and chin makes it look like he has a toothy grin..lol
He's so sweet!
That's great to know about our planets. Doesn't that also apply for long term friendship as well? Or does it not work that way with this particular arrangement? I apologize for all the questions. I'm learning. And I'm very curious about everything.

Here's my little Aquarian boy, Azizi....aka Mr. Z

I don't know enough about the Mediterranean
to compare it with hawaii. Perhaps you could tell me a little about it? What made you move there and what makes you stay?

Love~
Angel

Ok, The Med.

It's hot, mad, beautiful, ugly, expensive rip off, dirt cheap, in debt, full of animal cruelty, hospitable, lazy, slow, intense, greedy, fat, spectacular, full of mountains which come right into the azure of the sea and much much more. It's Paradise mixed up with hell elements. I came here because I fell in love with it. Sometimes I want to give it all up and run away . Then I remember the Paradise side of it and the colour and the warmth of the sea...
LOL, it's complicated, to put it in a nut shell.
Did you get any books yet?

Come and see me on KTTA, my mini thread called, rather unimaginatively, "Hello all".
I will put up some pix there for you to see, if I can master it today.

PS, How big id the Big Island?

Hello StarKiss, Forgive my delay. Towards the end of weeks I have more groups and meetings so I'm away from home a lot.

I love your boy he's so sweet and looks cuddly. Dreamy is a good description.

I can understand the price situation. On the mainland a cheap loaf of bread is around 90 cents. The same exact loaf is about 5 dollars here. Milk can reach upward to 9 dollars for cheap brands. ( I don't drink milk..blech)
But as you said, the paradise part of it makes you stay. I love the energy and beauty and power.

Big Island stats:
From Northern tip to Southern tip of the island: 95 miles.
Distance from the East side to the West side: 80 miles.

Didn't get any books..There were only three astrology books left out of the entire store. One was about dating the signs. I can't believe how they talk about Scorpios oh my gosh....*tossed that book down*
The other two were 2011 daily horoscopes for Capricorn and Pisces.

Well I'm in no rush. I have good patience. The universe brings it all in perfect timing.
I did however have something interesting happen on the way out to my car. There was a vietnamese woman selling things at a table. As I walked past the table planning on completely ignoring it, something caught my eye. It looked like a black scorpion resting on the skirt of the table cloth. I stopped, looked closer....closer...and just as I was about to get a good look it fell right on my foot.
Well it wasn't a live scorpion. It was a scorpion preserved in resin, as a pendant! It was hanging off the edge of the table and my foot caught it just in time. So I bought it and drove home.

I will definitely make my way over to your thread. Are you posting any pictures of you?

Sending abundant love,
Scorpio
