I'm hoping for the next couple months to start studying more about Solar Arcs and I'm going to really dig into my chart pertaining to this, so I know I'll have some general questions popping up and anybody is welcome to also ask questions and also give advice as well! Thanks!

So, what aspects should I be looking for?

I have heard that the soft aspects are not enough energy to trigger anything (unless there is a theme going on that include hard aspects as well)

I know I should be looking at:

square (90 degrees)
semi-square (45 degrees)
conjunction (0 degrees)
opposition (180 degrees)
and 135 degrees (I can't spell the aspect...lol)

what about the: (do they work?)

inconjunction (150 degrees)
165 degrees aspect (another one I can't spell)
semi-sextile (30 degrees)

Also, I have heard that an aspect is usually strongest for a year time period, so the orb would be 1/2 degree before and after it's exactness, correct?

Is there any other basic things I should be checking out in the beginning?

Is there any MAJOR mid-points I should also check out...?

If you begin studying, you will start with the basics. You have a lot of information right here in your first post. When you get the books they will start you at the beginning, don't worry.

Another thing, if the trine and sextile are a waste of time, then you know for sure that the semi-sextile should be null & void with Solar Arcs. You're allowed to use common sense here. The sooner you learn to simplify in astrology, that you don't have to obsess over every measurement, that only a few aspects can get you to understand the entire story, you'll soon drop sextiles almost all together. You may even drop trines.

The Solar Arc is valid for about 9 months, SOMETIMES a year and you're correct that an approaching arc can begin it's potency at 1/2 of a degree to exact and then 1/4 of a degree separating.

The 165 degree aspect is called a QUINDECILE and it's pronounced with the strong italian accent as such:

i use it a lot in sinastry and in transits-Valentine asteroid is associated with true/pure Love.the love that is selflessness,generous and not egoic-driven.

I've more connection from his sec progress and SA to my Natal. Astrologer say that SA to the other persons natal not counts in aspect to meeting a new partner. I dont know what I should say but for me I find more interesting SA connection from him to my N chart. Everything in very tight orb and closer than 1 degree.

so now a period of diversity,equality,discord,controversy will factor into my lovelife,relationships,partnerships

My Solar Arc Moon is conjunct my natal Eris with 1 minute of arc applying.
My Solar Arc Venus is square my natal Pluto
with 1 minute of arc applying.

My Solar Arc Sedna is conjunct my natal Midheaven with 5 minutes of arc applying.
That goes with Sedna square Midheaven in my solar return.

My Solar Arc Quaoar is oppose my natal Midheaven with 10 minutes of arc separating.

I am going through a highly evolutionary intensified period right now with all these transneptunian solar arc connections.

I think that they reflect my forming the non profit organization. I think that it also reflects my falling out with my former vice president/secretary who is trying to get money from me. I responded by going to an attorney who notified him with a "cease or desist" notice and I went to court to apply for a restraining order. I have a hearing on August 5th. My shaman friend, Steve said that it's about taking back my power and connected to pastlife karma.

I have new friend and ally in a neurodivergent woman that is into biomed stuff for autism. She is open to neurodiversity and wants to help me with the non profit organization. She knows a lot of people with lots of money and has lots of connections.

She has a very strong Sun-Earth-Sedna Node alignment, and so she is very strongly connected to collective Sedna energy.
I think that fits with Solar Arc Sedna conjunct my natal Midheaven and my Solar Return Sedna in 7th square Midheaven. Of course, she has affinity with my own Right Ascension Sun-Sedna opposition as well as my Moon sextile Sedna.

My former vice president/secretary has Venus square Eris within 1 degree. Which seems to go with the theme of Solar Arc Eris oppose my natal Venus as well as Solar Arc Moon conjunct my natal Eris. Of course, I also have Eris sextile Midheaven and very strong Sun-Earth-Eris Node alignment,and so I am very strongly connected to collective Eris energy. I also have Eris trine Midheaven in my Solar Return and Moon semisquare Eris in Right Ascension.

The day after the hearing, there is an event called The Summer Institute of Neurodevelopmental Disorders. I am going to attend. I will be attending the workshops. I am going to make it an opportunity to network, make friends, and share information about neurodiversity and the non profit organization.

so he had ASC conjunct your Valentine and Sun?
How tight was the Valentine conjunctin his ASC?

Oh and I think an aspect between ASC and DESC-ruler is always important. I am not totally sure about the strength of a sesisquare, but it means your relationship-axis (through rulership) is being triggered.
Maybe you experience this "relating" in the houses where Mercury and Neptune fall?
Also, could you check where Tr Mercury and TR Neptune are and if they are triggering something?

I just had this crazy thought that the transiting placements of significant SA planets might act as activators or identify WHERE the action will be. Just a thought, could be completely wrong though.

so let me summarize to see if I understand it rightly.

The SA ruler of your 7th house (Neptune) aspects your natal 1st house ruler (Mercury).

Your transiting 7th house ruler, also in SA ruling your 7th house, opposes your Venus, which always has something to say about "relating", too.
Now I want to know where are Tr Neptune and Venus located? In which houses?
Do you feel like this area of your life has been triggered big time?
Maybe not so much in outer events (though it could happen), but that your attention is on these areas?
It does sound as if relationships are very important to you now.

Well, I remember that long ago IQ put up some filter rules, and only if those were fulfilled, we were supposed to proceed checking for "soulmate-connections".
Valentine-ASC-conjunction was definitely up there!

It seems that Valentine rules true unconditional love, but even if you might feel this is a bit "too much said", I think it definitely relates to a charming romantic association.
Someone here once said that Valentine in aspect to ourp ersonal planets or angles "can charm the pants off of you", or something like this.

I think that is right. I never really connected to Valentine, as it is in Scorpio in 12th house and unaspected in my chart. But by now I have experienced that triggering of Valentine, and it surely has its effect!

Since you`re the Valentine person, I think you were very attracted to him. He kind of embodied (ASC) your sweetheart (Valentine) (even though VAlentine is much more than just a "sweetheart" I think).

Of course there are still other connections to consider.

the sa Uranus has already passed my ASC by 0°36, so it is already out of orb I think.
It was exact on my ASC on 18th december 2009, which coincidentally was my last birthday. lol

Of course this is only the beginning as I have Neptune on 9°56 Sagittarius and NN on 10°09 Sagittarius, so in 2-3 years from now some peculiar, surprising, exciting events will take place, which migh influence my lifepath BIG TIME.

Oh jeez, first Pluto transiting over this, then Pholus dancing on my NN/Neptune and now this.

It surely are exciting eventul times for us Sagittarians!
Actually for all mutable signs, it has been. And now the cardinal signs get their fair share, too. lol Well, transit-speaking at least.
